Yeah the reason security is so tight there is because a couple years ago at comicon a guy brought in a bunch of real weapons and was going to try and kill the guy that played the green power ranger. I was there that year. It was nuts.

I was there on Saturday and Reggie said you were at your hotel lol. It was my first Gaming Expo ever AND it was INSANE. Could NOT believe there was such a massive thriving retro Gaming culture in my home state!

The Phoenix area has this chain of record stores called Zia that sell a ton of used games. Worth checking out if your ever in the area.
Bookman's trades and sells used games too but I haven't been in a few years.

I hope Phoenix zia isn't struggling. In tucson one of them closed down so there's just one left, same with bookman there's only 2 left now.

I’ve been meaning to check out the Expo as a Phoenix native & finally made it out this year, it did not disappoint! I saw you outside the convention center as I was walking up to the expo on Sunday & gave you a shout but didn’t want to interrupt your convo you were having. Next year I’ll definitely get the three day pass!

I went Friday and it was an honor game hunting with you guys. It felt unreal. I also grabbed the last copy of bloodstained on switch. Limited run was my fav vendor booth and got some cool genesis games too. As John Riggs said, expos have the best prices on games.

I can't believe I missed you guys here in Phoenix, I didn't know about the game on expo. But I'm glad you visited Cobra's, its a lively night club on the weekends and the line is atrocious, but it is worth the time to wait to go inside.

This year was the first time I have made it to this expo, didn't make it Saturday for your panel but got to say hello to you on Sunday, hope you get to come back next year and do a panel again and I manage to get off work for the whole weekend. I did find some good games that I have been wanting for the gamecube I found Luigi's Mansion (one of my all time favorites ), Robotech Battlecry (I am a child of the 80s and a huge Robotech geek) as for the ps2 Star Ocean Till the End Of Time another of my favorites from that generation
I'm into games but not so with retro games. The retro gaming scene is also virtually non existent where I'm located. But I still watch this channel religiously because of the positivity it projects. Thanks for all the videos MJR!

We were down there at the exact same time - i was next door at the love never fails convention.. I knew there was a video game convention due to all the folks I saw walking downtown with poster memorabilia end game artifacts. Good deal!

@ 4:50 MVC is the first Arcade game I played, probably about 1998 when I was in 3rd grade. I didn't really know what to do but push buttons lol. Now I play MVC2 on my PS2 and MVC3 on my PS3. So cool to see in the video!!! :)
I absolutely loved The Simpsons Arcade game when i was a kid, it was great to see it again in this video as i haven't seen it in years.

I live in Colorado and everyone I meet from Arizona has an insane traumatic story and fears going back. Never been though, could be great

@@NeckBreakingStunts agree to disagree I suppose. Most of the rest of the country is like living in your freezer for 4 months out of the year, which is a hard pass for me. I like the heat.

90F still @ midnight? I thought it got cold at night in the desert? I know in the winter months, the temp swings suck. Pitching a tent it's nice in the evening but then you better have your sleeping bag ready to pull up cus the temp drops out of site and it's not cool but cold. Not so in the summer months uh?
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism you're right about the desert. But they were in the city. The asphalt absorbs the heat during the day and radiates it at night.

I am so bummed. I was there literally all day Saturday and I didn't see any of you guys. According to my friend I was standing next to the John Hancock while looking at Phantasy Star IV... and he was in fact the person next to me who said "Oh man that's an amazing game, you should get that..." but due to me being anti-social, I didn't even look over just said, "Awesome, thanks, I'll do that." Oh well, next year!
