  • Anchorage, Alaska's premier whitewater run at high water. Six kayakers fired up Sixmile Creek at 12.5 feet, 4,390 cfs.

    Had fun rafting this about a month ago with Chugach Outdoors. It was a blast and the whole family enjoyed. Not for the faint of heart. They provide a dry suit and you must swim across the river where you start out. Bring your own neoprene gloves to protect your hands. The rocks can be sharp and one guy slit his hand doing the swim test. Have at it! Keith, Gwin's Lodge & Roadhouse, Cooper Landing AK

      It's Hope, Alaska but I thought the run was called six mile creek.

    Funny how staircase gets easy at that level but zig zag and merry go round get a more interesting. Nice ride in junkyard. Missing that run right now

    Im happpy to see that the swimmer is okay and that he manned up and took his booty. The river gods must always be appeased.
