- For years the Stikine has been considered the Everest of kayaking. The remoteness and difficulty of it's rapids makes any of the most hardcore kayakers scared. Follow the Serrasolses brothers as they embark on an epic journey for the 2nd full descent of this whitewater gem.

I began white water kayaking in 1967 and did the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, Selway in Idaho, the Gallatin and Stillwater in Montana in 1969 and many in eastern Canada. I am still kayaking . Back then, you had to build your own boat out of fibreglass using a club mold, or you did not get to go. They usually cost about $75 each to make and took a weekend. I still use my 30 year old fibreglass boat in the spring run off north of Kignston Ontario. I never did anythinglike the Stikine however.
My boat dream is a creek boat made from S glass and Kevlar.
that music had me grinding my teeth. What you're doing is incredible but by completely blanketing the scenes in music without being able to hear what's going on makes the audience feel really disconnected from the environment. The sound of raging waters is a sound that can't be withheld and shows how truly epic what you're doing is.
Who could dislike this!?!?
One of the best kayaking videos out. Genuinely inspiring!
WOW! Can only dream of running a river like that! Very cool and thanks for sharing! Makes my Class II and III videos look like playing in the bathtub!
I hear ya brother!
12 years of boating, ran many flood stage rivers, but I wouldn't have run that. a man must know his limitations. great video.
I live at the bottom end of that river. Fastest river in North America you can bring a boat on. And it's miles wide at the bottom end.
You guys are awesome, its been along time for me.kayaking was one of my best investments in my life Take Care you TWO you guys are truly powerful !!!!
So awesome!
Now that was some good clean fun!!
to hit the lines these paddlers take with a fully laden kayak - phew...its a big deal! Playing with monster holes and such, amazing!
speechless, thanks so much for sharing such an unbelievable spot on our wonderous planet!
This is a great video, defiantly deserves more views.
So crazy, truly epic in scale.
Классная съемка видео!

Can you imagine sitting inside of a kayak all day with balls that big?!
Sweetest bros at it again!
Watching again in 2020. It's still sick.
Sweet vid guys keep up the great work
just watched a documentary on this river and thought hmmmm. i bet a kayak can get through there!
I strive to be on this level of paddling. Get some boys
wow. incredible
Great work and video! Though I do believe Darren's team had the second D on "Site Zed", you guys styled it though.
Instablaster...
All time Gerd brace
nice shot of the thaltan river at the end but I noticed a bit of portaging in the canyon
Hey Terry, Which river at the end are you speaking of?
If you are speaking about the Stikine river in video, I am pretty sure the portage was the team going back upstream for another stab at that monster eddy-hole spiraling counterclockwise. It seems the portage was dramatic effect - the kind of effect all to common with that crowd.
Walt Blackader, Rob Lesser and other big time paddlers hung with the circle of mates in the film. Before his death on the South Fork of the Payette River, when faced with the impossible Walt Blackadar was purported to have said, "do it backwards." These guys are prone to that striking style. Nevertheless, they do portage.
I'm not sure why people consider this difficult
Sick
Are these class VI?

i could float down theselittle rapids im my rubber dingy. try something challenging

Can anyone tell the name of the song played at the starting of day2”
This was the 5th Descent of Site Zed....what ever sells a sponsorship...
A lot of water. I have done Costa Rica with 12 foot high waves, but they were much better behaved than these.
I am sure it was a breathtaking landscape to paddle the river through; of course, we will never know from this video since we never get to see any of it. Only closeup shots of paddling. Could literally be any river since that is all we see, so why make a point of naming it unless for overly sensationalized likes and cash?
