That entire landmass all the way to old port Townsend is a multi tier starfort. Tunnels go all the way to the old castle, first hospital, asylum, etc. All red brick lined and arched.

That was an awesome video and a great history lesson.
My great grandparents came here and settled in the 1800's. So my grandpa was born here and so was my dad. And then my brothers and myself also. Then our kids too. And another generation is having children also.
My grandpa was in WWI. But he also helped put the cannons in the bluff across from Ft. Worden at Ft. Casey. If you go downtown check out the two cannons at the entrance to the Memorial Field. In the 1960's when my grandpa was retired he maintained the field and everything there. He laid the chalk lines for the games too. And polished the cannons. Nobody does that anymore.

You have a great lineage to the area. The area is beautiful! We are planning to visit again at the end of June. Your grandfather sounds like he had a lot of pride in keeping history maintained. My grandfather also served in WW1, my father in WW2. He was shot on the beach of Omaha during the Normandy invasion. He lived, but never got all the shrapnel out of him, he eventually died at a young age. Thanks for watching and for your great comment.
I just visited this place in June 2023. Very interesting. Learned about officer and gentlemen filming.
