Yessss. Finally. A craft room organization video that shows affordable ideas for smaller areas. I can’t afford to do even those Ikea shelves. Lol. The closest IKEA is 3 hours from me!
Thank you . I'd rather spend my crafting dollars on new and fancy art supplies .Similar shelves can be found in Amazon, Walmart etc...so if you like the shelf idea look at other places. I've even seen them at home improvement stores.
Hehe the closest ikea to me is probably atleast 3 states and an ocean away. ;) but yeah no, I wouldn't travel 3 hours to spend a fortune at ikea personally. As much as I love super plain and simple white painted furniture, I just don't think I would if I could. Love these storage ideas for sure!

Just an idea to help balance the drawers on the towel bars: wrap aluminum foil around a curling iron, put it on the 'high' setting, mark the center top of the finger openings on both ends of your bins and place the heated curling iron surface to your mark. It helps eliminate so much movement and there's no plastic residue on the curling iron. Also bathroom towel bars attached to the walls can hold baskets. I bought and painted 1"x4"s and wooden dowels and assembled a 6' tall system for baskets. I just drilled holes in the 1"x2"s for dowels so I could slide dowels in and out - no need for the Dollar Tree metal hanger. I would share a pix but I removed everything from my creative space since I need to prime, paint and remove the carpet/install new flooring.
Great ideas...yes the baskets work over the towel bars in bathrooms. They also work over filing cabinet doors, and on wire rack pantry shelves....I now have baskets in most rooms in my house. Thank you for the other organizational ideas.

Those teal bins with the decorative designs, would be great stamp impressions if you use a foam stam from Simon Hurley… I just want to find those minds for that.
YES....I've done a similar thing with just regular foam that I got at Dollar Tree. K

Karen thank you for the smart idea with the dollar tree towel bar. It took me many months and many dollar tree stores to find them. I am using them in my kitchen over the drawers for paper towel rolls and trash. I don’t have room for a trash can so I use grocery dollar tree bags for trash. Working great for me.
Glad you finally tracked them down. It's frustrating when you see a product on here and can't locate it at your local DT....but nice that your persistence paid off. K

Thanks for sharing this. One can never have too many baskets. LOL I love the expandable towel bar and the idea of having a roll of paper towels hanging off the cart. (I'm always looking for my paper towels) 🙄🤪
I thought it was only me searching for paper towel. This makes it so sweet....easy peasy. I've already gone back and gotten 3 more white baskets....those stackable ones are perfect for my odd balls shaped DIY stamps and mark makers....
Brilliant ideas for hooking baskets, I’m in UK and gonna go shopping in the morning on the hunt for similar baskets and the towel rails - I’m into adult colouring and my craft area is in the corner of my living room, as I live in a 1 bedroom flat. I’ve recently seen someone use metal racks that you’d use to cool cakes etc, she used 6 and used plastic pull tags to fix them together then hung it on the wall and hung things from it, I think your baskets would hang on this rack so well for ppl like myself who can only use wall space. If I manage to find the item’s tomorrow, hopefully this hack you’ve shared can be a huge help. I’ll let you know and try to share photos with you. Your work area is beautiful. You are so clean and organized. I was a teacher and I have to work in an area similar to this or I cannot work.
I do take time to get things back in order but I am a messy creator....everything is out when I am done. Which is why it has to be easy to put things away afterward. K

Great idea using the towel bars. I have never seen them at Dollar Tree. As of this afternoon, I am headed into week 5 of reorganizing my shop. I recently bought roughly 15 baskets with handles from Dollar Tree, but your video now has me rethinking a few things. TFS. 🤗💛🙏🎨
Neither had I...and then I saw them on someone's Dollar Tree Haul video and that got my brain working. I'm going to use these in my pantry as well...and laundry room....and on my bakers rack .LOL

Hey Karen thank you for sharing your craft room it’s so lovely like how you fixed it up it’s not easy with a small space I’ve noticed that you got the white storage containers you can paint them Turquoise so they can match your room or spar paint them x 🤍
I wasn't sure if the spray paint would adhere to the plastic. K

I went to my DT today. No towel holders. 🙁. Ended up at TJ Maxx clear refrigerator bins for a cabinet to store my Art Impressions watercolor stamps. I found the cutest in the makeup area that say “cotton bin”. I’m going to store Qtips in one n makeup squares in the other. Their lids have a clear Diamond like knob similar to Nuvo products. Costly at $7.99 each but love the way the look next to my Nuvo collection. I ended up buying 2 under shelf baskets (only 3 sided) for $4.99 each. I will keep checking DT for towel hangers n plastic ( or wire which I prefer) baskets that I’d like to have in the craft closets since it’s cheaper than the hiring someone to put in more shelves. Fabulous and creative ideas! I can’t wait to use them. I also watched a couple of your other videos. On the napkin use I wondered. Could you copy say a Christmas card scanned on your computer, then print out on white napkin paper?
I've not printed on napkins..but I did see a video on it.....I'd be concerned that it would jam....you could do it on tissue paper...I've had success with that.
Karen, I too have been using a lot of these items but I like the way you used some of them better. Especially the square baskets on the table. To see them stack like that is perfect. Our DT doesn't have those towel hangers either but I don't pass a DT that I don't have to stop at. Did you find them in the kitchen section?
I believe it was in the section with the over the door hangers (home section) . You can order them online too...but have to buy a certain amount...( which I now have done...going back a third time LOL I think I have 18 of them...will be using them in pantry, laundry room and entry way.....I went back and got more of the white square baskets too.....they are perfect for the bulky mark makers/home made stamps....K
You could always spray paint all baskets to match your colors.

Funny story. One of my neighbors put it in the back alley with a sign that said Free. I know that’s not helpful for you but if you Google 4 tiered cart you will find them.

Yes 45 in long ...but sorry I have no idea what the weight it would take. Primarily I put my art journals, canvases on it....it's not a wide shelf ...but if you hang it properly into studs I imagine it would take a significant weight. I bought it from Ikea....so maybe they list the weight . Thanks for watching K

When I refer to mark makers I mean things I repurpose ( DIY) you can stamp with....bubble wrap, shelf liner etc...but it could include purchased stencils and stamps as well...anytghing you make marks with on your page. K

They do take some manipulation to get apart the first time. As far as I know they only have one kind there.
