This is really helpful, thanks for the video mate. I’ve got a pebbledash house that the Mrs is insisting I paint. Now I’ve managed to kill the moss but it’s still there and seems to have deep roots in to the render. What can I do? Should I just paint over it?
Been watching your work for a few months now, impressive technique you’ve developed. Was wondering about the chemical run off & if it’s harmful to pets or grass & other foliage? I can appreciate that it’s been somewhat weakened by the time it hits the ground but I’d imagine it’s fairly potent stuff judging by the airfed mask etc? Just curious is all, keep up the great work 👍🏽
Thanks. You'll notice that we fully soak any foliage to ensure our chemicals dont burn or damage anything. We ask the customer to keep pets inside while we are carrying out the work. We wear masks/respirators because we are working with biocides all day and know the effect that these chemicals have on the biofilm so we prefer to keep ourselves safe.
@@SoftWashGuy I kind of get it thanks, still not entirely sure though as I’ve seen that you soak the areas to be treated as well as the surrounding areas, so I’m a bit confused as to how it is effective on the walls but not on the grass 🤷🏻. I’m sure there’s some science behind it, just be nice to understand it is all 😊 Anyway, fantastic work 👌🏽
@@Rebla01 we pre wet the walls so that we don't use so much chemicals. Think of it this way....a dry wall is like blotting paper, if we don't pre wet it just keeps absorbing loads of chemicals. As for the grass & foliage it's similar in that a thirsty plant will take up liquid, we basically give it a drink by soaking first, then when we're apply our treatments we keep wetting the plants just in case any goes on them, if it does it's heavily diluted and less chances of seriously damaging them 🌻
@@SoftWashGuy Ahh okay, knew there would be a perfectly logical explanation behind it. Appreciate you taking the time to explain it. Good luck & catch you in the next one👍🏽 Oh & you did mention somewhere about a van setup vlog, no better time than a bank holiday Monday👌🏽 🤣
I love your approach using the brush vs spray nozzle. I think that will be great technique in my market. Please tell me brand of your respirator

Another great transformation! Good job 👍
Thanks
What is the chemical that you use? Also the sofa wash pole? What pump do you us for the chem or is that tap fed like down streaming on a jetwasher?
Where did you get rinse system from?
Excellent work, what happens if you get your hypo or biocide on pvc or glass ?
No problem, we pre soak and should pvc yellow out we can restore 👌
What biocide do you use?
superb job! Whats this service called and how to i find one in my local area?
Thanks.
It's called Softwashing.
We just specialise in softwashing render.
May I ask the ratio you would use? For water to sodium percarbonate for a soft wash to clean render?
We don't use Sodium per carbonate.

Wait for the dead moss to drop off
Thankyou for sharing this. Most videos ive seen simoly use a spray for application, is your choice of brush to reduce overspray?
Yes, we don't want to be spraying chemicals everywhere
How do you protect the pavement?😊
We cover paths etc with dihydrogen oxide. 😀
