I saw this too late to join. So sad. I am 65. My breakfast when I was a kid was steamed rice powder with coconut layers eaten with banana and black channa curry. Otherwise rice flour kneaded with hot water, flattened in a banana leaf, with a stuffing of coconut and jaggery, folded and steamed. Luscious!

I am a maharashtrian from Indore and I love to eat poha with sev and sometimes a kachori. Doodh jalebi in winter. And my maharashtrian roots keep me near idli, upma, dosa, thalipeeth, sabudana khichadi, cheela, poori bhaji, shevai upma and parathas....sometimes bread butter jam or malai toast. 😄

Hi, i have always followed you on different platforms and surely you are too good, I have something to tell and ask you. My grandmother is 102 years old right now and she always have had her meals twice a day. i don't remember her having any breakfast throughout her life and till date she doesn't have any diabetes or BP problems or i have never seen her with any calcium deficiency or anything of that sort..... i don't know how she has maintained her health like this for sooooooo many years now.... she is totally fit barring slowdown in her pace of activities. My question to you is how can we explain the reasons for this kind of fitness with any theory, let that be dixit theory or diwekar theory... Thank you

Hi Rujutha...i have ragi ball(meduim size) and sambar(dal/green gram/lobiya/kidney beans) in the morning.@9.00 I have rice(a lunch box full) with same sambar.@1.30 I have tomato bath/ lemon rice/egg fried rice/paneer pulao/upma/poha for dinner. @8.30 Im have full time job i leave my house around 9 and be back at 7 I have PCOD since last 10 years...im 26 years old...married and my husband has same whatever i have. My weight is 87. I do household work and dont do any other form of exercises. Please give me your inputs on this. Love you take on weight loss industries. Thanku

in western rajasthan in winter we have bajre ki raab (peral miller drink) nd in summer we almost have chass roti or dahi roti !! Respect for u !! bow down to you !!
We are from Telangana sarva pindi is special breakfast but we prepare them with Ragi flour , jowar flour, and rice flour ..we also prepare yellow cucumber Roti with jowar flour and grated cucumber and mirchi TIL and all

Hi Rujuta breakfast option in karnataka is huge like u always say idly dosa upma poha is a part of our tradition we also have options like pongal bidibelebath which r healthy preparations its eaten for breakfast lunch dinner also here in bangalore these can be made with millets or white rice ragi is also our traditional crop we make ragi ball for lunch now is the vegetable crop season for watethaycenth beans lots of preparations in that also they add it to sambar upma make sabzi from it love u following u rujuta

Paratha is. Good but eat it with achaar or dahi and have your tea an hour later because rujuta says not to take tea with meals
