Excellent presentation and musicianship! Bravo!
Awesome job guys!
Got the Black SS Tele coming my way on December 17. I think it is the best looking Player Tele out of the rest of them.Just badass.
Great playing guys! Also good presentation of some of the models. I keep getting pulled back to both those Tele's for some reason. Like their sound. I had a new AmericanProfessional Tele, but just couldn't get along with the neck/action. Traded it back in for an SG (very happy with it)! Also really liked the sound of the Jag HS, but I just hate those drooped headstocks! Maybe a Player Tele is in my future... who knows?
Awesome, great demo
Rolling off the tone on that bridge single coil sounded so much better. 👍🏼
The split coils actually sounded like true single coils, which seems rarely to be the case.
Man Jack can play! Love his style
I would’ve loved to have heard the single coils through super high gain too. That’s how I run these days.
this is very good - sounds fine
Nothing sounds better than strat neck.period.
you two are awesome...
HSH strat is very nice option. Good for Fender for making those.
Thanks for video ✌
Can the neck humbucker on the hsh be split? If so, the next trip out of the house will be to the local guitar store.
I chose the HSH in Buttercream….sure glad you have done it justice.
Saludos cordiales desde Oaxaca México 🤝 Gracias excelentes guitarras, esa jaguar es excelente
Excellent demo! I can't decide between a HH Jazzmaster and a HSS Strat. I can't wait for guitar stores to reopen so I can try them out.
Can't believe that someone has got the same problem a few thousand miles away.
All the product descriptions for the Jazzmaster models online say only the bridge is coil tapable, is this a special model that can coil tap both pickups or is that a standard feature for all player series Jazzmasters?
Shorts aren't high enough
that blue tele looks nice...
Does the strat hsh at the start with the pau ferro fretboard has the same neck profile and neck feel as the jazzmaster that was played later at 14:16. Thanks.
Dude I love the new player series they are just like the american pro and pro players have said its almost the same guitar thats jusg crazy for the price
What's the name of the song you guys were playing at 14:16? It sounds very familiar
I always planned to get a Nashville Deluxe Telecaster as my next guitar, but I've had my head turned by the Player Series. Fender have done some very nice subtle upgrades on the Player Series Telecaster and is cheaper than the Nashville Deluxe. I don't mind paying the extra as the Nashville Deluxe has some great feature. I'm just curious by everyone else's opinion. Nashville Deluxe or Player Series Telecaster?
Thanks for the comprehensive review guys BUT I was really enjoying the jazzy sound on the HSH Strat, hey, man in glasses, why did you have to cut Jack short and why does everyone have to go full out for head banging music? can't mellow out with full distortion, grrrr. Well at least you made up for it at the end! All is good, lol
How great do these guitars sound!! Price, performance wow!
I think I might have been a bit closer than the video!
Hello, Thank You for sharing an informative video. I recently for a fender Mexican player strat Maple with SSS Config. This is the first time I am experiencing a fender instrument. I am quite delighted to have it and ordered it online from a well-reputed site. I have a quick query. I am a bit concerned about the instrument I got and here is my observation regarding its Volume management. I feel that it sounds low on volume. At volume, 1-3 it's barely audible, 4-5 a little audible between 6-7 it's satisfactory and at 9-10 it gives a considerable output. I am connecting my guitar directly to amp. My amp is Marshall 15CD Series 45 Watts. If I plug my old strat Aria STG series at 3-4 it gives the output what Fender gives at 8-10. The bottom line is if i have to play for practice it has to be between 6-7 minimum or 8-10 while playing along with backing tracks. I wanted to know this is the nature of a fender product/pickups or something else is wrong with my new guitar. I would appreciate if you can please advise.
Maybe try adjusting the pick up height
@@simonmalih120 Thank You for the reply
What is a better choise for rytmyn metal (Metallica, Alter Bridge and AC/DC), and lead stuff? The PRS SE Tremonti Standard 2018 or Fender Player Series Strat HSH MN SGM? I want to do some trem stuff.
NoiseFeedMusic Hey man, Thanks for your anwser. I played both recently in the local guitar store, and I find the PRS a little more comfortable in feel. I kind of liked the PRS more because I play now a Squier Telecaster, and I don't play much clean anymore, so I wanted a guitar with humbuckers and not single coils. I am going to buy the PRS at saturday. (SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH)
Never could figure out why Fender did not put AlNiCo pickups in the Standard series. They put them in the Classic Vibe guitars and they sold like hotcakes! I think this is great. I have been EXTREMELY disappointed in Fender's American guitars.
Standout feature? Marshall DSL40.
The American Standard was renamed American Series around 2001 or so. They were basically American Standards with better attention to detail. A few years later, they changed back to the American Standard name with some more tweaks (including the bent steel saddles) and now....they have become the American Professional series.
Jon Oz yes! They’re heavy as heralding. All in all about the best bang for buck for a new guitar though.
Which name of Song you play with Jazzmaster and jaguar??
It’s a month later, but at any rate, the one they jam on together to start the Jazzmaster/Jaguar part is “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak.
DO the hum buckers split into single coil?
I know they definitely do in the HH Teles
So fender don't do the 2018 jag and jazz in Maple necks? God why not?! They do the teles!!
Ahh yes, Lady in R.. uhh .. Crimson, my favorite tune from Chris de Burgh
humbuckers sound amazing on strats but they make the guitar look much worse. dilemmas, dilemmas
that is so true
yes man....I just cant decide if get a hss or sss just because of that :'(
I cant decide between the hsh strat and the jaguar hs
Question? Would you buy a Tele with Strat bent saddles on the bridge? What the hell is Fender doing trying to save costs on bridge saddles? The Tele should have block saddles like the Indonesian one! Stupid really. The sage green Strat does not offer a maple board! Insane as I'm after that model in the Player series.
I'm after Tidepool one, but this on other hand has only maple fretboard, and I prefer pau ferro. Maybe swap? ;)
Tbf I think the bent steel saddles sound better..
The strat...the only guitar you need
The only guitar you need is a Strat, besides the best, a Tele.
What if I just wanna play metal
so where are these guitars made? . . i do have a couple chinese guitars that play about the same-or better than two of my american gibsons!
sarah waters These are made in Mexico. They really are great quality guitars especially considering the price point
This is the replacement for the Standard (made in Mexico) Series.
and ive got the first leftie 2020v player.....................age 83, i think i may deserve the wait..........( but no plec, bag, spare strings, guitar strap....paid £555.00 gbp .............what a cutthroat box.............never mind, nevr expected more than bare-bones................merry xmas, h6 in the uk
whats an offset? and what is offset?
Offset just means the bodies have asymmetrical tops and bottoms. So for Fender they are the Jag, Jazzmaster, Duo Sonic and Mustang. Gibson Firebird is also an Offset.
Thanks Ryan!
No problem!
I don't like the black plastic round the telecaster humbucker..makes the guitar look cheap
Eye roll. 👀 You can buy a chrome pick up frame from Stew Mac for $3, then we don't have to hear about your aesthetic proclivities anymore. 😂
Can’t disagree with that, when you’re spending £600 on an instrument that would be the least I’d expect!
What that filthy riff on the jazzmaster?? 17:25 ???
He got close to playing Sweetleaf by black sabbath, but only for a second.
At 17:31 it sounds like the intro to The Greatest View by Silverchair for a second
walk dont run............................
Roll the tone back? Get rid of them is a better idea. That's what EVH says.
They really are very like the old American Standards, the American series didn’t have the bent steel saddles. I guess now they are not making the American Standards anymore and are making the pro instead these guitars are filling that gap.
The last iteration of the American Standard Stratocaster use the bent steel saddles, this is basically the old American Standard Stratocaster for $650 instead of $1000
They remind me of the old Highway 1 series. Except these don't have the satin finishes.
Betty, I agree the American standard had bent saddles from 2008, the American series had block saddles, I’ve got 2 of those. This guitar is definitely the American standard for less money.
I was really interested in clean sounds on the HSH but it seems clown boy in the glasses needs to hear more widdly wee widdly wee and more of the amp overdrive rather than guitar tone (5 min 36secs).
But we love the "widdly wee widdly wee", and playing guitar is all about having fun, right?!
