NYMR - North Yorkshire Moors Railway by Drone - Levisham Station - Steam Trains from the Air

North Yorkshire Moors Railway from the air by drone. We are at Levisham Station on an April spring day with steam and diesel trains passing through between Pickering, Gothland, Grossmont and Whitby.
This first installment of aerial footage around the NYMR Levisham area, features arrivals of the Moors Explorer and Seaside Special runs with an appearance from the diesel 37 class service engine stopping by for supplies.
Following the untimely demise of the DJI Mini 2 in 2021, this has been my first opportunity to film the railway by drone. Technically, as the experts out there will appreciate, the Mini 2 will only provide vision, not sound, resulting in elaborate attempts to capture both image and audio for the completed submission. Many hours of synchronization then occur.
Hope you enjoy my attempts. It is fun to do!

I love that you added ambient wind noise, bird songs and train sounds. That alone puts your video a notch up. The hours of work you put into this are not lost on me. Fully watched and liked, of course!

Thanks for noticing the effort. As you note, the sound has to be recorded seperately (can't just rely on music for this one) though all the sounds are authentic at the station, some were recorded on seperate occasions and had to be synced post production. Lots of fun though. I am back at the railway this week trying to do more of the same. Dave

@@hirstshafton I always try and add ambient sounds to my videos. Most of my last video was voiceover with background sound because I'm always tripping over what I want to say! Can't wait for your next one. I could watch steam trains all day.
