TAFishing hi graham and Mike love vids thy r totally awesome with out a doubt I'm a beginner at fishing and have a lot to learn I was wondering cos I've Been doing bit of rock fishing and catching pollack can u lip pollack or is tht a bad idea let me know or anyone thanks Gerry B Belfast.
TAFishing I doubt you will read this but I've been fishing with a pole while my rod gets fixed and I've got bits from 3 carp and all 3 times it took me to the pond weed and I got snapped every time and the pole snapped
Awesome , I miss living on the south coast, its a 10 mtr tide up here so I only get to fish low water for the smoothies or on the ebb for cod and whiting , cant hold ground any other time. Great vid guys.
Great video! Graham, I have been going back through my old sea fishing magazines and have just been reading your report in Sea Angler about fishing for conger at the hot water outlet at Money Point in Co. Clare Ireland. There's a trip down memory lane... :)
great episode it seems to me as soon as you creep into them shipping lanes the Fogg seems to lay in wait When I was a kid in Dover WE would be out a few miles when you would hear the hovercraft and it would get louder and louder until it went V slowly less and less When your young eh
love your videos !!!! I'm inglorious fishing I have my own channel fishing from Guernsey in the Channel Islands!!! ever fancya free fishing trip for turbot brill bass whatever just hit me up loved your jersey video was cracked up!!!! KEEP IT UP REGULAR WATCHER
That was a totally awesome boat launch. Are you running radar on your boats? I have seen units that hook up to lowrance and hummingbird electronics. Handy in the fog so you don't get an oil tanker sneaking up on you. Great video as always.
Hey graeme. Next time you're in ireland can you please come to wexford. I really need some tips to beach fishing. It would be greatly appreciated. My parents also own a b&b in killinick, about 10 mins away from the rosslare europort if you want to stay and record an episode in rosslare and kilmore for a few days. Thanks graeme from pierce
This small boat has a passive radar reflector,so hopefully any larger vessel with radar will pick us up...I don't have it on my boat so I just have white knuckles on the steering wheel and just wait for the bump...
I saw you paying the anchor line out of the side of the boat, do you still tie off at the bow? I just take boiling water in my flasks for tea making, which produces an acceptable cuppa. Not sure if I fancy a stove on board- remember Graeme, never leave your chip pan unattended! Thanks for these great videos, I'm just starting out with my first boat, so they're invaluable.
Worse of all used to be fishing the varne or what have you 7 mile of Dover The fog comes down then you hear the hovercraft getting louder quickly No way to outrun it if you knew which way it was coming Nice when it started getting quieter again The old sea gull was no match for the 4 gas turbines
Love the videos got the up most respect for both of you as fisherman but one thing that is realy playing on my mind is something Wayne said.TEA CONNOISSEUR No way does everything right until he pours the hole thing into a stainless cup are you mad If you need any tips on tea pop next door 😁
Great video. I am in my second year of small boat ownership and always learn such a lot from each boat fishing episode you produce. Can you please tell me what the blue protector is on the hand rail on Wayne's boat and where I can get some. I fish alone a lot and use Alderney ring method, but anchor chain can scratch the rails. Best. Tony
My guess is its a piece of waterpipe with a split cut down its length then stretched over the rail.Good idea to protect the stainless.I don't have it on mine, but I should.
Really enjoyed the video, very informative. A couple of quick questions if I may, during the boat launch whats the other end of the rope attached to ? Is it on some kind of reel that pays out or is it coiled up loose on the ground. And as you let the anchor over the side do you tie it off on the side or on the bow. Thanks.
Tie it off at the bow normally.Or do you mean the painter line that is just to tie up to the pontoon at ?..This needs to be shorter than the length of the bow so it does not blow over and foul the prop. As for anchoring, never, ever tie a boat off on the side, particularly in a strong tide. You will be under in seconds and have no chance of recovery as the water pressure will be too much. Tie off on bow only.
not shure if youl see this post but my braid on my fixed spool reel always builds up high at the rear end of the spool any ideas on that or was it because i put it on dry
Hi Graham I am having a boat build for me with a cabin what will be the minimum door size( the width ) should I have it is a 2 meter beam boat and i will be using an Alderney ring with buoy and I am like Wayne's build, what is the door size on Wayne,s new boat please. Thank you
I have no idea on door size as I don't have one on my boat. You would need to contact Wayne or even Garry who builds the Wilson Flyers now .Check online for Garry.
I have caught them at anchor, but you don't get the same numbers as you do on the drift. Secret is constant scent trail, ensuring it never gets broken. Consistent shark fishing relies totally on keeping the chum, trail going.
Some trailers actually come with an integral lock in the unit,or a blanking plate so you can fit your own. I use a triangular wheel bracket and padlock on mine, but you can double up and get a caravan style ball hitch lock in addition. Don't know any makes though.
Hope you enjoy this small boat fishing episode
TAFishing sure did
Love the boat fishing and think the work you guys put in to your vids is "Awsome",please keep it up,look forward to every episode 👌👌👌
TAFishing excellent mate

Nice video, as usual Graeme and Wayne. Fresh fish and chips for tea. Totally agree with Wayne about a fresh cuppa you can't beat it
You know he's bang on regarding the plastic flask! Only in freezing conditions where you cant bring a kettle should one be used imo.
Best show ever! TOTALLY AWESOME!
What a awesome video as allways :D Keep it up!
Some really nice fish and great to see you out with Wayne
Inspired to start sea fishing again now I found this channel 🖒

Totally awesome vid!!
Nice job guys. Nice Boat Wayne.

I'm with Wayne on the tea front, nothing worse than flask tea! I would rather go without!

How do you get the anchor line to the bow? I see Wayne letting it over the side and the rode stored in the bin. Thanks
It generally goes through the bow roller with a captive eye.
Hello from the central USA. Great video!
Very very nice boat!!!
Love the boat fishing vids, that big boat did pass pretty close :|

I don't have powered radar but I do have a decent passive reflector. Perhaps when finances allow I will upgrade.
wayne comben you have a real nice boat set up there Wayne. The electronics advance so quickly it's hard to keep up.
The winch is more likely to jump of rather than the strap snap . That why you use a safety strap or chain !
But I have a safety chain ????
TA Fishing yes and ???
Many years ago we went out off the nab. He caught his first cod. It was 24lb!!
Nice vid dude can you do a float fishing with worms and magots

Every ones grandad dad or relative that’s passionate about 5 stars all the way
Gotta be scary in that fog with a small boat!
This small boat has a passive radar reflector,so hopefully any larger vessel with radar will pick us up...I don't have it on my boat so I just have white knuckles on the steering wheel and just wait for the bump...
@@TAFishing With my luck I’d be terrified while waiting for the mid air collision!!

Always anchor from the bow.Especially in areas of strong tides.
Great vids I enjoy watching them all. When's mike releasing issue 4 mag been itching to read it. Keep up the great work 👍
You updated the Taryn, all the best with the new vessel. What's the blue wrap on your rail please and how was it applied?

need to get out in the boat more
Ha! Looks fun but last time I went out on a boat was mackerel fishing and I was soon throwing up :) Maybe this ain't for me...

Nice vid guys! Whats the name of the ring on the buoy for the anchorage?
It`s called an Alderney ring

Flasks do give tea a weird taste!
That fog looked scary. What's the best advice for fog situations like that as I wouldn't know whether to move or what?
Don't ever anchor the shipping lanes and if you can fit a powered radar or AIS or at the very least a decent passive radar reflector.
Really enjoyed the video, very informative. A couple of quick questions if I may, during the boat launch whats the other end of the rope attached to ? @@TAFishing Thanks for this. Very helpful. What about the rope that was paying out during the launch down the slip way. That was most intriguing.
Just been fishing in deep sea in county Waterford in Ireland
David Lommano any thing going I'm hoping to make it out over the weekend
Great vid! Where was the fog horn coming from?
Was it Yorkshire Tea?
not shure if youl see this post but my braid on my fixed spool reel always builds up high at the rear end of the spool any ideas on that or was it because i put it on dry
I guess that must be the natural taper caused by the oscillation of the spool going up and down on the spindle .Mine are the same.
@@TAFishing ok thanks for reply n yup ive ordered 3 caps yesterday
just back in to sea fishing after 20 years from it
going out on the boat tomorrow
same. tight lines buddy. im out in the irish sea (N.ireland)
Hi what diameter anchor rope is wayne using there TAFishing?
Conger eel vs pen rod
How would you rate those boats? Look class
would it be a good idea to have a vhf radio on in the background.? and floating devices.
My fixed set is just inside the cabin and so are enough easily reached lifejackets for all on board.
very good stuff sir.
Fishing😩👍

what rods and reels thanks.great vid
Breakaway cable :)
hi guys, could you explain what you mean by open ground cheers.
An area of sea bed that has no rocks or reefs.
can, or do you eat the conger eels?or just catch and release?
You could eat them, but nowadays they are usually all released.
Have a look at beaver farm fishery
Do you anchor for blue shark fishing or drift
I have caught them at anchor, but you don't get the same numbers as you do on the drift. Secret is constant scent trail, ensuring it never gets broken. Consistent shark fishing relies totally on keeping the chum, trail going.
TAFishing thank you how far out do I need to go
Flask tea is awful! Great video
Could you tell me whats is the model of boat ?
a 17 foot Wilson flyer
Remember all those boats sinking in the 70s because people didn’t remove the gas canister every time they made a brew. RIP.
how often do you actually go sea fishing. I presume you live near the sea.
As much as is possible!
more lines in the sky than in the water, 😞🌎
on it lol. first
Disliked cause he had a Pompey hat on 😂

You don’t drink a brew out of a flask but you drink one out of a metal cup yuk
Gundog and Flock agreed! Metal cups are awful
4th
Just out of interest do you never put on life jackets just interested in why not or if you have them under your jackets.
Sie menotsyaing probably do when it's rough
Sie menotsyaing They're only worn when it's rough or something. You don't need to wear them all the time. Unless yer scared.
They are always to hand, checked and crutch straps fitted. We do wear them on occasions and of course I would always advise you wear one.
What trailer hitch lock would you recommend..
Some trailers actually come with an integral lock in the unit,or a blanking plate so you can fit your own. I use a triangular wheel bracket and padlock on mine, but you can double up and get a caravan style ball hitch lock in addition. Don't know any makes though.
TAFishing thank for the reply
