    Darlene, I just got to say thanks. I was told years ago I would never be able to crochet. Thanks to you and your simple and easy ways. I now can call myself an advanced beginner. I love how you say don't worry it will work and that anyway you get there is fine. You encourage as all.

    Thanks again... you're a natural! (The things you say remind me so much of my Auntie and Gran, who taught me... "oh, I'll just go in here... it'll be alright". Tee hee That inspires confidence, and encouraged me to try things and just bumble along...and make pretty rugs. Learning so much. 💜💙💚💫

    This stitch is also known as the lemon peel stitch - it is one of my favorites. Your tutorial about it is great

    I love love love the seed stitch. Like you said, simple stitches making it look like it's 'complicated' when finished. It has a lovely texture without also needing a lot of extra yarn (looking at you, puff stitch).

    Hey Darlene! I recently revived my crochet skills too. This looks like a perfect way to try new stitches. Great tutorials as usual. Thanks

    I like using the pin. I pin them to my bag when im finished. Im decorating my squares with , hearts or something else. Im making 2 squares each time to make a bigger afghan. Also a smaller square for my great grandbabies. Having fun.❤❤

    Thank you, I'm in my mid 60's and have been crocheting since I was very very young. Doilies are my specialty although I've done many baby layette with #3 yarn I've need used the moss or seed stitch.. my eyes and hands don't allow me much for knit or crochet now but I might give this a try since I have many totes of yarn staring at me😅

    I love crochet and just happened to come into your channel. Think I will try and join in with you crochet along. I've been wanting to start making and joining granny squares into something to use up leftover yarn from projects.

    PS Off topic but I think your nails look so pretty! I really like them this length and just a clear or natural color. I wish my nails looked this good!

    It was fun watching, but it's all greek to me. But I truly do want to learn. And I'm going to keep adding these to my playlist so that when I'm ready I'll have them all in one place. I do want to learn, though, it's just so pretty. Thanks Darlene.

    So pretty. I don't have time to get into these blocks right now, but in the future I'll come back to these videos and do them. Thank you for your clear demonstrations.

    That's so pretty.
    My mom's a crocheter and I have never been able to get the hang of it. I'm a knitter and my absolute favorite stitch in knitting is the seed stitch! It's gorgeous in knitting too.

    I love the fact that you told us to use pins to help us count. Nobody has ever suggested that idea. I think it’s a wonderful ideal so thank you darlene❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    I'm so glad you are using the Susan Bates crochet hook. I have so much trouble using other brands whereas the Susan Bates hook slides so easily. Thank you for the patterns Darlene.😊

    • @darlene.michaud
      @darlene.michaud  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes! Those ads pay my bills and allow me to keep doing this shit even for people who love to complain. Thank you for watching!

      UA-cam premium eliminates ads and allows you to download videos. It's well worth it to me. I hate commercials.

    • @darlene.michaud
      @darlene.michaud  8 місяців тому +1

      Yup! Anyone can pay youtube to have the ads remove. And since that cuts into the creators ad revenue, youtube gives us a cut of what you pay for premium. Either way works for me.
