Some say that they hate spectators using their iPhone to record the concert of Greenday but now they enjoy it a lot watching it uploading from their iPhone. I hope you more wise in commenting.
irfan wahzudi Billie did use that line on the crowd at every show on the Rev/Radio tour, but it was just a bit of a segue into another song. It went something like, “you’re looking AT me, but you don’t SEE me.” You’re correct, they, usually Billie, commonly reposts iPhone video or photos taken by people in the crowd on IG, and he ALWAYS credits them too. Of course, they have a crew to film their concerts, but they don’t necessarily get to see it from the audiences pov. Having the crowd recordings is a great way for them, and their fans and followers, to see something they may not otherwise see from their vantage point. I have to add that 6 weeks after I saw Green Day in April of 2017, I saw the Chili Peppers, who I first saw before they were world famous, in a warehouse as a high school freshman in 1988, and last saw them at a club show in 1990. At the concert in May of 2017, they were very rude to the audience, particularly about being recorded on iPhones. Anthony Kiedis made a snarky comment to a woman in the audience, then Flea jumped into it and was even more rude. He even made sure that the audience knew who they were bitching about by describing what she was wearing and what she looked like. That was about the extent of their audience interaction. They played great, but it was like, “let’s just get this over with and go.” Such a disappointment! BTW, the night Green Day performed just happened to be the same night of the final game of the NCAA basketball championship, so A LOT of people were checking their phones.😂 (Sorry my comment is more like a novella.)😇
Hi! I hope someone answer me. Is the strumming in 2000 light years away "Down down down up" , "Down" "Down down down up" Being the three chords of the intro. I guess those chords are B5, G5, F5 In that order. if it's the real strumming, is it being used during the whole song?? (I mean, when there's no palm muting or whatever)
idt i'll ever forget how the went into welcome to paradise, that shit was fucking nuts
Frank Mikuski Boston 94, when Billie went on stage and played Welcome to paradise.. That was nuts
Great to see Jason playing
MFG, I can't believe green days back at their maximum potential. That's so old-school and I love it.
David Oliveira Ikr! And the way Billie is strumming his guitar, so 1992, Green Day are having a good time playing again. :D
Is*
He's always done it like that; just these days it's not as forceful as in the 90's (say at, like, Jaded In Chicago)
Jason White looks so classy when he plays.
I was there! Amazing show!
Awesome quality!!
The transition was the shit! Great songs! Love Green Day!
Thank youuuuu for sharing that

Dude, it kinda doesn't matter about the strumming pattern. Upstroke, downstroke they both sound identical with a power chord.
Doesn't matter, do what feels natural to you
i miss when billie only wear tshirt for playing some old song...
