Thanks! I appreciated the feedback. I'll keep steadily making videos as often as I can in my free time. It's a fun hobby! Congrats on the m235i! It's a seriously fun car and I smile every time I drive it, even when I'm commuting to work!
Man... The lower O2 sensor position on the Wagner DP was in a different position and barely clips back in, do to being further away! And thanks for the pic of where the O2 sensor wires clip back on those little clips!
Hmm they might have changed the harness length maybe. 14 was first year so they did make a lot of changes mid 2014 (like they switched tpms mid-year). Either way, I'm glad the clip picture was helpful! You do the diverter yet?
@@ame7165 I did the DV+, yes. I went bold and decided to take the water pump out completely... put in a new one while I was at it. I did a bunch of new mods. Gonna take me a week to get all the videos edited.
How do you like the Wagner Catted downpipe? I was thinking of going with a downpipe delete but if there's still significant performance to be had while retaining a legal exhaust I'm interested. Please let me know thanks!
First of all great tutorial video. 👍🏼... my question is did you installed catted Downpipe? did you code for check engine light? because I heard anyone changing down pipe will get check engine light on is it true?
yes i got catted downpipes. i don't like how cars smell when they're fully catless. i also heard you have to code for the engine light but i never got a CEL so who knows lol
Can someone give Some advice. I have for a m235i Two downpipes on the shelf But dont know which one to put on the car. One is a Wagner 200 cell catted downpipe, Its wide. The other one is a catless , But narrow from begin to end. What Will be the differences And effect?
catless is illegal and is a huge fine if caught (most people get it anyway) they also smell but perform better and are cheaper and louder sport cat gets pretty close gains, doesn’t smell, is legal, but costs more i went catted myself
@@ame7165 ehhh I did be because mine looked pretty heinous. The clamp on the midpipe to cat looked like it had been part of a coral reef. 🤣 I asked because when I ordered my clamps, the one up top on the turbo was the wrong part. It was supposed to fit an m235i but was way too small. So I was curious if maybe the 2014 models were a different size or something. Maybe a difference between ewg and pwg turbos. There are actually a few parts that are supposed to fit the m235 but don't. Like the collant hose (the U bend one) that connects the water pump to the thermostat and then connects up to the expansion tank. There are some parts labled to fit only MSport upgraded models. (Like hello it's an "M" 235!) Even on realoem the coolant hose is wrong. Anyway. I'm just trying to figure out why some of the parts I ordered weren't correct. The correct part #18307606136 There are a bunch of letter and numbers on the clamp itself but they don't mean anything.
it's whatever vf engineering uses for the hex tune (can't remember off the top of my head but you can pull up their instructions on their website if you want the name)
This is the best car tutorial video I’ve ever seen
wow thanks man!
Pictures at every step is one of your best tips. Excellent pace, and clear explanations.
Your channel is so good, keep it up! I just bought an m235i

Excellent DIY thanks!
Good luck with yours! (if that's the plan)
The best video about 235 downpipes! One question, how much power can I get with a decat and a soft tune? it's possible to get around 350/370?
410hp
Nice tutorial skill and performed only with images! I would like to perform this upgrade but no lift or tuning skills.
Great video, thank you!
i have a m235i x drive and i got the v band between mid pipe and down pipe stuck and it’s not sliding back on to each exhaust piece. any tips?

Yeah I remember it being a little tighter but not too bad. Interesting. Is your car the same year as mine? Mine's a 2014
@@ame7165 Mine's a 15

Ambitious! I probably should have since the pumps are known to die prematurely lol

There's a rattle on my cold start for about 10-15 seconds after I installed the downpipe. Would you by any chance know why??

Is it possible to remove the senors without removing the downpipe?

@@ame7165 But do you know the effect of the wider diametre?
@@watchonthetoiletchannel4741 less flow; but no cat cells in the way so it’s probably still slightly better or identical
@@ame7165 Thnx So much!
Do you need any gaskets or different nuts when you fit a decat?
I would imagine it's the same as the sport cat ones, but I would contact the manufacturer to be safe
What part number did you get for the upper V band clamp? Your car is electronic wastegate, right?
Yes, mine is electronic wastegate. Not sure on the part number because I re-used the OEM v-bands
@@ame7165 thanks man
Should I have? Lol my oem ones looked pretty crusty 😂

That's bizarre. I wonder why there are differences. I assumed the bigger brakes were the only major difference
are the lower and upper V band clamps the same size?
no
How will I know if I have an exhaust leak ?
it'll make a farting sound lol. you'll know
what tuning software did you use at the end of your video?
it's whatever vf engineering uses for the hex tune (can't remember off the top of my head but you can pull up their instructions on their website if you want the name)
How much does it cost compared to MHD?
