The digital Senior Railcard from Trainline is stored directly in the Trainline app, so you can use it right away to get 1/3 off eligible train tickets.
The Senior Railcard is valid for anyone aged 60 or over and costs £30 for 1 year and £70 for 3 years. This means that if you buy a 3-year Senior Railcard, you'll save £20 on the cost of three individual Senior Railcards.
You can also link your Senior Railcard with an Oyster Card to save 1/3 on Off-Peak travel around London.

A 1-year Senior Railcard costs just £30, but a 3-year Senior Railcard only costs £70. So if you’re feeling thrifty, you’ll save £20 by committing to an extra couple of years’ worth of discounted tickets. But even that isn't the best bit.
With Trainline, your Senior Railcard is, wait for it… digital. It’s stored directly inside your Trainline app, ready for use instantly.  
Manchester, Mallaig, Merthyr Tydfil and beyond. A Senior Railcard means you’ll get 1/3 off Standard and First Class tickets on pretty much all timetabled trains in England, Scotland and Wales. You can also link this Railcard to an Oyster Card and save 1/3 on Off-Peak travel all around London.
Even better if you’ve got a holiday planned, as you’ll get 1/3 off travel on Gatwick Express, Stansted Express and Heathrow Express too, plus Railair tickets between Reading and Heathrow Airport. Hollibobs, just a little bit cheaper.

You’re free to use your Senior Railcard any time of the day, any day of the week, except for journeys within London and the South-East area, which you can see here, during morning Peak hours. That means anytime between 4:30am and 10am. Oh, and the Senior Railcard won't work on Season Tickets unfortunately.

Tap ‘Buy 1-year for £30’ or, if you’re keen and the deal’s available, ‘Buy 3-year for £70’. 
Now enter your details, upload a digital, passport-style photograph, sign in to your Trainline account on the app and Bingo! Welcome to the Railcard club. 
Remember, you can buy more than one Railcard, but you can only ever use one per transaction. 
When planning your next trip, enter departure and arrival stations as usual, then select your new Railcard from the drop-down menu and the saving is applied automatically.
