Miss my friend Rush. I listened from ages 17-40. Rush taught me so much, and educated me on the terrible cancer Leukemia, which he raised MILLIONS of $’s for finding a cure. My 4 year old son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2016, if it weren’t for Rush I would have had no knowledge of it. Thankfully my son successfully made it through and is healthy now. I will always love you Rush for all you did, in politics and in life. After my father and grandfather he is my hero.

Darn, Rush we NEED YOU NOW SO BAD!!! I remember getting so mad at you listening when I was 26/27 but dam I came around to your way of thinking…. It took me a minute but RUSH I ended up loving you. Today I miss your voice of reason!!! You were RIGHT!!!
Same. I grew up truly not understanding Rush's words, and I was totally misled by the media. It wasn't until I was about 30 when I finally learned to see he was right all along. I'm 42 now, And looking at things going on currently, he was VERY MUCH RIGHT about what he was talking about!
Like hearing from an old friend/father figure. Calming, wise and entertaining. Miss the lovable little fuzz ball as much as any other family member that has walked on . ❤️🙏❤️🙏
Rush was the best. I listened to him every day and for a while in the 90's I had to work between 12-3 so I got a small Walkman radio so I wouldn't miss Rush
I get lost in my comfort listening to these archived broadcasts, I remember them, then the clip ends and the heartbreak of Rush passing returns....it goes silent...
God this is from 1990. 2 years before I first listened to Rush. This from was when broadcast locally in NYC for part of the show and nationally for the rest of it. This is on WABC from 1990. James Golden (Mr. Snerdley) now has a show of his own, The Rush Hour, in 2023 on the same station.
@@nanchangerRush was and is and will always be a national treasure. To this day I've never entirely agreed with him (I've never espoused conservatism as a political ideology but I *wouldn't* be caught dead ever as a liberal) but he always made me laugh, informed me and gave me a daily morale boost for almost 30 years. When I learned that he had passed it came like a gut punch. Thank you for uploading these early Rush shows. 😀
@@nanchangerI've so longed to listen to the old Rush shows from the early 90s and especially before I found him as a kid in high skrool in 92. You are doing a great service. I've read about it in his first book aka The Way Things Ought to Be about "caller abortions." Has this ever been taped? It sounds hilarious.
I'm currently uploading a collection of 1000+ audio/video recordings dating back as much as 30-40 years ago, some haven't been heard/seen for that long, can't possibly tell you what's all here, but for a small donation I'll send you a box of RUSH tapes!

Gosh I miss hearing that intro riff so much, because of who I knew I'd be listening to for the next three hours. Miss you so much Rush!!! Can't wait to chat with you round the campfire one day, till then tell my loved ones I miss them and give 'em a hug for me!
First I have heard of his local first hour in New York. He did get cut down to the 3 hour show . But boy thing about his show I did not like ? I did not find it until December 1990. Listened everyday until his last show2/2/21. Miss him every day
Oh yes, this was the period when Kathleen Maloney would hang around for the first hour of Rush's show and become a de facto sparring partner. According to Paul Colford's book, WABC management wanted to put Rush and Maloney together in morning drive but Rush thankfully said no, knowing the long graveyard of failed hosts in that era (Dave Dawson, Steve Kane, Jay Diamond)
I miss Rush!!! I listened to him EVERY WEEKDAY for 30 years!!!❤
Well, you got him, alive again!

Nah, Mark Steyn was the closest thing to Rush and most tolerable to listen to when Rush was on vacation. Everyone else I'd just turn off.
I'd like to know what happened to cause Steyn to back out after Rush had spent so much time positioning him to be his replacement.
Buck and WhatsHisNuts suck. Nothing EIB about either of them.
I tried to listen them but eventually had to give up.
