Loooove this video! You look so beautiful it's crazy!!! I'm a little sad this chapter is coming to a close, but I'm so excited for what's to come!!! And yes girl, MEN are sooo important traveling abroad, especially Latin America!!
Yesss! I needed this. I find telling too many people they can be Debby Downers . And then you talk yourself out if it! Excited for the journey . Thanks Nibby. Love the vids❤️
Si SoulBlissful yea I wouldn’t talk to anyone about what you want to do who isn’t in the position you want to be in or have done what you want to do.... period. Too much fear in people
OMG your prego!!!! I've been moving around a lot and I haven't been on her much but C O N G R A T S sis, im so happy for you and Wilner, I feel like i know you lol!!! So happy for you both!
I'm moving to Dominican Republic in 3 or 2 months. I absolutely LOVE it, I've visited twice. I mostly love it because everyone is a person of color like myself so I'd fit in. But my Spanish isn't that good , I've got the natural Dominican accent when I speak Spanish. But do you think there's a way to learn español fast and easy? ❤️🇩🇴
Do you have a link or no where i can learn to speak more spanish my friend is from Puerto Plata and her siblings live in Santo Domingo and Santiago but my spanish is broken..HELP HELP....
Hi Nibby, how is your pregnancy? I hope everything is fine especially now that your family is growing. It is funny but your the type of person who makes a positive impact in many people by sharing your experience in a new culture like DR, my country. You will be missed here, by the way since I also live in East Santo Domingo I remember going to the mall "La Sirena" and watching all over the place to see if by any chance you were there just to meet you personally lol. As you spoke of trying first living the experience in a small town there is one I will suggest and is Jarabacoa, a mountain region in the north side of the country. It has an excellent weather all year round, people are very nice, you can see the pine trees everywhere and that is the place where people go to enjoy extreme sports. It is really my favorite spot with many nice hotels, cabins and life is not as expensive as in Santo Domingo. Take care,my best regards to Wilner. Blessings
Nelson R oh my goodness that place sounds amazingggg. I’ll be back to DR this summer for sure with our daughter.the next time I come back to the states it will be with Wilner. Pregnancy is going fine I’ll have to deliver her soon. It’s been hard on my body and I won’t be able to carry her due date. I’m sure we can meet one day.
Nibby Speaks Yesss! that place is very beautiful and I hope some day you will be able to visit with your daughter and husband. For sure, will definitely love to meet you in the future. About your pregnancy it is normal the change in your body, some women use the technique of delivering in the water (swimming pool) but I am sure you are going with the traditional way. Be sure God's willing everything will be alright and you will deliver a healthy and beautiful little girl. Tomorrow I will try to send you some information about Jarabacoa. Good luck. So long.
I'm moved down here in 2012. Started in the campo just outside of Nagua, then Santo Domingo and now Santiago. Enjoyed the videos. Best of luck to you in the states.
South of Nagua in the rice fields of El Pozo, having lived in both Cambodia and Northern Thailand prior... wasn't too difficult. I just spoke with a good friend of mine up there a few days ago. He tells me they now have electric about 8 hours a day. Doesn't sound like much but certainly better than it was while I was living there.
thanks for sharing your journey with us. Also, thanks for your shout out to the MEN, we get ZERO credit in the west....so its refreshing to hear your kind words...especially from a Black Woman
You are right it is easy but i love doing both salsa and bachata.you know how ppl requested video of your make up? Can i request a 12 sec Video you with your husband dancing bachata, oh wait, does he like dancing? You dont have to do it consider your condition.so this year i will be back in DR am excited.
Cool, i just watched this vdo again this time i paid a lil'more attetion on how manytimes you said 'men' all in total 39 times not counting the first two coz they were used as interjection. My poor conclusion is that if more ppl (sistaz) wud travel the world and see how helpful a man really is in a family ,it wud lessen the singleness and other problems of our ppl.in other word they will learn to appreciate men.
small cities are great for that then. many people in santo domingo do speak english. when i lived in the country I ran into one person in the few months I lived there.
san juan de la maguana. its a small town near the border of haiti where i lived for a few months a couple of years ago. its a small pueblo. and whenever i would go to any rural parts of the country my soul was at such peace. i'm a nature person and I prefer a slower pace.
One last question, where did you stay when you were looking for an apartment. Should i just book a hotel, a bnb, or just a room somewhere? Sorry, for the intrusion 😫❤️ im just tryna live this bomb foreign life too, yah know? Lol

Wilner and Nibby I just don't want to be too touristy or expensive ,, my goal is immersion ,and fluency ..
