I got to see them on Thursday in concert and it was absolutely magical. They all sound soooo good in person and yes Mitch really hits those notes live in person. My husband came with me, but not because he was a super fan or anything. When he left I asked him what he thought (he was dancing throughout the concert so I knew) but he said he was so blown away by their talent. He knows I’m a fan girl for Mitch (I can’t help it) but he was particularly impressed by Kevin and he was shocked that he could tell what a fun personality that Scott has on stage. He just radiates joy. Matt was so sweet on stage and Kirstie was phenomenal. I think the whole concert blew his mind, especially white winter hymnal.
I get to see this Christmas tour in about 3 more weeks. I am so glad to be reading all of these comments and I have only heard great things about this show, I have seen them 2 times in concert but never a Christmas tour.... So excited...
I was there too Melissa and it was SPECTACULAR! Kirstie was the standout for me, she was so powerful and magnificent. The boys were all amazing too, Scott is like a bouncy puppy filled with joy and Matt & Kevin were phenomenal and Mitch was his brilliant self but Kirstie, just WOW 🤩
I was there for my first concert of theirs (8th floor row on the left), and I could have written what you wrote, Melissa and AJ! I even dragged my husband along, and his situation was exactly the same as your husband’s. He was laughing at me because I was acting like a crazy person trying to get Mitch 💜- and anyone on stage really- to wave at me. Loved it all so much 😁🎄❤💚
When they performed at the Hollywood Bowl one of their "sets" was something they called "The Evolution of Pentatonix". I hope you can check it out. Everything they do is for their fans. They are so humble.
I read somewhere a while ago that they won't record a song that they can't do live. That goes for Hallelujah, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc. Best thing about this reaction? "An arm, a leg, a fish..." Loved it!
And like think about this, over a seven minute song and Kevin's only real break is in the beginning of the Cascada song. Like there are pauses but he keeps going.
There were no Monday blues to be had here! I'm still riding high from seeing Pentatonix on Saturday at a sold-out show in Salt Lake City. I was also at the show at the Hollywood Bowl in September when this was recorded. They're just amazing no matter what venue. They've been doing this now for over 10 years and they still are so energized by the crowd and interact with every single audience that comes to see them. I'm glad you're reacting to some of the live stuff that they've done. There can't be any blues after watching something like this. Cheers!
Great reaction... I have seen them in concert 2 times. On Avi's last tour and Matt's 1st concert. Finally get to see their Christmas tour in about 3 more weeks. I can not wait. You really need to see them live if possible!!!!! Unbelievable live!!!!!
Honestly I couldn’t even film I was too much in shock. I filmed white winter hymnal (I turned the phone the wrong way) I filmed Kev cello boxing and I filmed part of silent night. That’s it. It was 2 hours of them on stage and I couldn’t allow myself to view it through a screen.
To answer your question, Cher was the first person to use autotune as an effect and not just to “fix” a vocal that was off-tune. It was around for years before that as an open industry secret.
I was like 5th row back on my 1st concert (I’ve been to two), and I nearly died just fangirling. I thank my husband so many times for the best birthday gift EVER. ❤🎉
I went to the Hollywood bowl in L.A to see them this Sept for my birthday. It was so fun. I love how they interact with the crowd. They sound amazing. I hope your able to go soon.
I really hope you can see them in Canada soon!!! They added a concert in Berlin after they postponed the European tour. Before there was no concert planned in Germany at all (I mean wtf?! They have a lot of fans in Germany), but now I got tickets for Berlin and I'm so happy. 😍 And they were really cheap too, I don't know why. It's in a club, so it's a very intimate little venue compared to the big stadiums in other countries.
I don’t know if anyone told you but The Hollywood bowl is an amazing outdoor venue in L.A that seats 17,500. I’m not sure if they sold this show out, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Matt, it was an awesome reaction, as always ❤️ and think you should check out the other performance from that show - the so called "Evolution of Pentatonix" it's really great
Aside from this Hollywood bowl and just a few others, there's just not that many good quality videos. I don't wanna really watch the fan cams because the sound is just bad, doesn't really do them justice
After watching the mv, i never thought they could do this live but, well, they did! So good! During their early years, the small and outdoor venues didnt have the people to correctly mix their voices. When they got bigger, they were able to bring their own sound engineers that's why their live performances are so amazing and mindblowing. My daughters and I have seen all their Manila concerts but no chance for any of the christmas tours and they are skipping Manila in 2023. Their concerts are so good I can't understand how they cannot crash Ticketmaster lol. Hey Noticed you've passed 4k subs. Great! You are loved, Matt, and well appreciated
They are just so incredible!!! There are so many 🤯songs from this concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I hope you react to some more of them from this concert! 💜💜
Hi Matt. I am from Wpg but have a sister lvg in California so I got to see them in Oakland last Thurs and it was truly amazing, They sound the same in concert as they do on their LPs. This is the first concert I can say that. If you ever get the opportunity you definitely need to go.
I believe that Cher wasn't the first to use autotune... however, for that song, she was the first to use intentionally for the purpose of getting a specific distortion effect on the vocal. It was that distorted sound that she was going for. I've heard a similar effect used by Will-i-am of Black Eyed Peas.
it's insane how this sounds even better live!! Some other lives to check out that are amazing is their song new years day that they perform live at 2016 NYE, their evolution of music just recently from this concert, and bohemian rhapsody either from this concert or from 2017 at the Illinois state fairgrounds :)
i didn't remember you were in Canada! Hiya neighbour. lol My parents Saw a Home Free concert not too far from Toronto, I'm Sure PTX will be back our way too
Hello Matts. PTX live performance are fantastic and their vocals seem to sound better than the studio versions. Mitch is an astounding vocal talent, so precise and focused. All five of them are spot on with this - their first Grammy.
@@camillep6873 of course you are correct. This did not get a Grammy --- the comment on the Grammy (third) was for Jolene with Dolly -- I think I had two windows open. LOL Apologies for that. But did they get a Grammy for Carol of the Bells? Wasn't the second Grammy for Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy?
I buy Mitch as a siren. I'd crash a ship for that.

The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater in Hollywood. I flew there from Utah to see them live for the first time. It was incredible!!
I’m so jealous of you! Next time bring me with !!
I _drove_ there 13 hours from Utah. Totally worth it.
And I just saw them at a sold out Maverik Center on Saturday in Salt Lake City. Even better!
@@HelenWheelsUtah My husband and I were there Saturday also! It was so amazing!

Never get tired of hearing Mitch!!! He is awesome!
Sigh. I will always stan for Mitch. ❤❤❤❤❤

I recommend the “sing” performance in this concert. Hollywood bowl 2022 sing ptx would be the title.
they didn't get a Grammy for this, Daft Punk and Carol of the Bells for best arrangement and Jolene best performance country group or duo
