Kigali Global Dialogue 2023 | Women-Led Development: Activating the Levers to Unleash Women’s Economic Power
India has made women-led development a core principle of its G20 presidency. This panel will examine two distinct and interrelated levers of women's economic equity. The first is health, and ensuring that women's preferences and needs are adequately accounted for and responded to within healthcare systems. Second, is equitable access to and use of digital technologies. Investments in these two areas are critical for achieving women's economic equity and empowerment more broadly and can act as a critical foundation. This panel will outline specific recommendations for how these foundations can be strengthened to support women’s economic ambitions.
