4K/60p: LIRR M3 Front Window Penn Station to Freeport

- Taken 10/21/22. #2051 from Ronkonkoma had M3's. Took it all the way to Penn looking out the back. Upon arrival, it turned for #120 to Babylon. Different Crew for this run and I had access to the front. I didn't go very far as I needed to stay near Jamaica and have access to a Train to get me to Work on time. Enjoy!

I wish you would do videos of Metra north and NJT train lines from front window. Does anyone know if anyone does them ?
What is the speed of these trains once they hit they're max operating speed through the east river tunnels and once outside of the tunnels?
60 in the tunnels. 50 with M3 equipment
@@MrMaster767 looked like they were moving alot faster than that both in the tunnels and especially once the train got past all the interlocks. I've been on amtrak on the northeast corridor downloaded a GPS speedometer app and showed regularly going 130 to 135 as our max speed through new jersey and also in Maryland and Delaware heading towards DC
Love the front window view especially Penn thru Jamaica. Rode that line for years to Wantagh. Always enjoyed the LIRR. Thanks for the ride 👍

Looks like they’re making progress on the east bound bypass track! When complete will LIRR trains just continue straight after leaving line 3 instead of crossing over to the line 1 track just after leaving the tunnel?

The M3's have windows at the front and back of the train not connected to the operating cab that are publicly accessible.

Seems like slow walking through the tunnel. Glad you and other videographers are taking advantage of the return of the M3s with the RFW. Get a 2nd chance to get some great videos.
