4K/60p: LIRR M3 Front Window Jamaica to Long Beach

- Got a head start on my day to drop off something and with a lot of time leftover. Took an M3 to Atlantic Terminal, and then took another M3 to Long Beach and back to Penn Station. Video ends just before the bridge as the Conductor must be up front when approaching a bumper block as per Special Instructions. For those that saw my Atlantic Terminal video where I stated I anchored the phone to the window with a suction cup to keep the recording going all the way, I could not do it on this run unfortunately. It all depends on who comes up and if they allow it or not. Enjoy! Taken Friday November 4th.

This was always my favorite branch line to ride as a kid. It meant we were going to the beach for the day, and one or two kind motormen let me sound the horn and even notch up the power out of a station a few times. Great memories of the late 1970’s/early 1980’s. Thank you for sharing.

looking at the switches, and cosidering the crossover necessary from at valley stream to west hempstead branch, question? trains headed to or from montauk branch can switch over to/from atlantic branch tracks to make valley stream stops and/or use the atlantic branch in or out of Hall interlocking into jamaica? though most go stay on the montauk tracks and go through st. albans.
Yes, I've been on trains that have switched from the Montauk line to make the Valley Stream stop and went back onto the Montauk branch. It was rare (for me anyway) but it does happen
