Ah yes, back when the south side had F40’s and Geeps... One day this summer I wanna come here in the morning and Railfan all the afternoon and evening rush hour trains!
With the single deckers and double deckers. I did see that train at 2:48. BIG T which I call it in my opinion. Is big and carries lots of cars. Just replied on another guys replies the same thing as I said in this reply
As a former Noo Yawkah, I chuckled at this comment. Forest Hills is the southern terminus of the Orange Line on the Boston subway. The station is also served by the Needham line of the commuter rail system.
@@ericcharles8081 At the time of posting the comment, I believe one or two Providence/Stoughton trains also stopped there a day, but now there are a number of Providence/Stoughton and Franklin/Foxboro trains stopping here, most still bypass it though.
i think honestly the commuter trains are nasty but passengers have to ride them the technology needs to be better people wold like to see change in the style of electric commuter trains
Could you please tell me how fast those speeding Train's Are really going ? And How far a way from you should be standing from the Track's SO You Do Not Get Sucked into those Speeding TRAIN'S. Grace Nauen Track speed for MBTA is 70 or 80 Amtrak is about 125. As far as standing is concerned behind the yellow line (about 2-3 feet away from the platform edge; I stand about 6 feet away) is safe. A high level platform is safer than a ground level one
This is Jamaica Plain-Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. The perspective of the trains coming toward us w/ the Orange Line tracks to your LEFT is OUTBOUND trains (4 heavy rail tracks)..... 4.1 mi out of Back Bay Station, w/ the Amtrak Acela's already in excess of 100mph. They reach over >140mph through the Readville neighborhood (still inside Boston's City limits) before slowing for RT128 Station in Westwood. Once pulling out of RT128, the Acela's deal with a sharp curve alongside Sharon Station (135mph restricted) before accelerating to ~150mph/241kph from Foxborough through Pawtucket, RI. The Avila Liberty's are run up to 165mph through this stretch.
Watching with tears in my eyes I miss my home state. When was growing up I rode the T I wanted to work for them when I grew up
Good ol Massachusetts...
If I had to move away from here Id be depressed for months
Ah yeah, it’s really a nice place here these days, if you ever get the opportunity to visit you should!

Wow! 8 cars all double deckers!!!!
Because the mbta has a BIG T that carries lots of double deckers. I named it the BIG T in my opinion. But you can call it anything you want.
8 double deckers is because of rush hour.
The Providence Train
I live right outside providence so I love watching these.
2:48 it’s kinda satisfying when all the cars are the same
yes thank you

This is in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. Nowhere near South Boston.
And in more ways than just geography....

Needham Line is excellent
very nice Video how much time have you needed at the station for this?
Probably about 5 or so hours, it’s a pretty populated area in terms of rail traffic.

Wondering how many trains actually stop here because I've seen a few videos from this station and it seems like very few trains stop here
only the needham line stops here ,all providence and franklin line trains bypass the station
Liam J mbta and rail fan oh okay thank you

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
the commuter rails are nice, but you might've been on the ones with the blue seats, which are really old and not nice.
