From about 40s, he plays an ascending chord progression quite high up the neck but you can hear open strings droning. Like I said it's possible he's playing it on one guitar but the chords sound syncopated with rhythmic palm mutes- quite difficult to maintain that while letting open strings ring out
***** Pretty sure that's what it is, indeed. And it doesn't last much so yeah, must be hard cuz by the end of the bridge Andy has already stopped adding those.
I did have a book with photos from the syncronicity tour ( lynn Goldsmith I think ) that in one of the stage shots you can see a guy sat down with a guitar . Of course he could be just a tech but there is a video of those guys banging out police songs . Just an obversation.
+16forever The Police always played fast on tour. It's all due to Stewart upping the tempo. In some recordings you can hear Sting tell Stewart to slow it down.
The Police really was a very energetic live band, I love their sound!
Que gran epoca ¡¡¡ música sin igual ¡¡¡¡
FANTASTIC PHOTO
Amazing instrumental version!
Sting was saving his voice. Typical for rehearsal and sound checks
Its only one guitar part with some chorus and delay
rapppees yuuuuu !!
rehearsal? whats that? its all I want to say. good post.
Sting was busy attacking the guy who spit on him in France.
Choice
If I could be under cardiac arrest for beating. Funny Police.
Live tour rehearsal? I can hear two guitar parts, unless Andy is using a pre-recorded backing track.
Unless he's playing a chord with open strings letting them ring while he moves to the next
did not pay much attention, but i did not notice a second guitar part. When does it occur ?
