Trying to keep the spirit of "old time hockey" alive through this channel as well as my podcast. I interview former enforcers and fight fans from across the country to hear their stories and share memories of the "good old days" - Спорт
That dude was getting his face caved in. Great teammate. Announcers saying he made a rookie mistake. Hes a hero. He saved his teammates life
I'm a die-hard Rangers fan and no doubt George McPhee was fierce for ANYONE's size but Dave Brown was a top 3 all time fighter. That left, oh man that left.
Flyers fan who loved McPhee!
that's all he had was a left......tie it up and he was toast......lol
no wind.....like he smoked 3 packs a day......lol
twerp
He would of hurt him...George was tough though...brown just crazy strong n huge. Chris Simon fought brown and Simon was amazing
R.I.P. Ilkka Sinisalo.
That fight goes on McPhee would have his face broken..for sure..they saved him
Agreed, brown was ferocious
why did Brown even fight a guy so small?
Georgebwas,tough fighter
McPhee was holding his own? 😂😂 WTF are they talking about?
@davidryan9428 he would of been knocked out cold
Brown would of killed mcphee.. top 3 fighter all time. Problem with mcphee he was a dwarf..Sam Rosen calm down ....
McPhee is game and tough as nails, but even his gutsiness is going to give way to sheer physics. Brown is too damn big, has too much reach, and has too much firepower for McPhee to prevail. Even though Caufield jumped in prematurely, it seemed inevitable Brown would pummel McPhee.
From the replay, Brown throws about seven left haymakers; he connects with four, and two of those shots were stiff. He had the windmill going and McPhee simply couldn’t have lasted long.
Don’t get me wrong, McPhee would have fought to the end… but it would have been HIS end, not Brown’s.
Completely agree. When I saw the slowed down replay toward the end of the video it was clear Brown was tagging him heavily which is what prompted the 3rd man in.
That's funny, McPhee was holding his own. Then the rangers announcers rip the Philly fans. F*cking hilarious.
He was getting destroyed
McPhee was tough and brave but Craig Coxe said Brown was one of the hardest punchers, and Coxe would know and he was tough. It probably would have been bad if the fight continued 🥊
McPhee was holding his own??? What fight were these announcers watching?!?! Coffield’s jumping in saved him big time.
Arrogant,Sam rosen I hate him
McPhee was getting worked watch the slow mo replay.
Well yeah it is Dave Brown he was fighting.
Mcfee 5 8 , 170, tough guy
Mcphee, half of Browns size and still gave him a tough fight !!!
McPhee was getting the brakes beat off him. He was a tough guy for his size but used his stick too much. Don’t really remember Brown jumping opponents unless someone took. Cheap Shot at one of his teammates.
@@laidbck2x172don't remember any brown jumps?????
That just sums up your hockey IQ in one sentence
Not sure what you’re watching. 🤔
@@davidjones8657 What did u see ??
Rosen, be quiet. Brown could of put mcphee in hospital ..much bugger n powerfull ..wow
Huh
He's saying Dave brown is much bigger n powerfull I think lol
McPhee... What a tough guy!
Brown was the real life Ross the Boss Rhea.
I love Redmond as an announcer.
Redmond?
It wasn't Redmond.
@@donluego9448 I knew that. I must of had a few to many lol
Wasn't Redmond there
Haha...
Brown was destroying him
Lol
Damn sure was!!!!🤣😂🤣 No way in hell McPhee was going to survive the rest of those left hands!!!🤣👌
Down goes Brown!
Huh
Dropped by a right
Dumb
Caufield was the TRUE ENFORCER
lmao!! Yes. Undefeated
Caufield was a punching bag!
@@davidryan9428 he was the most feared enforcer of all time
@@evulmievl I agree. Brown and Probert got no sleep the night before facing Caufield.
@@davidryan9428 Never seen him win a fight. I think that fool was being sarcastic.
Rangers win this series in 5. McPhee was a big reason for it. Fought Brown 2x and Tocchet 2x.
Flyers went to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1987 playoffs
At least Brown didn’t jump someone for a change!
Brown was a real cheap shot artist and an over rated fighter also,McPhee took care of him easily.
@@richardmadison1125 Brown wrecked him
@@tomduncan2777 exactly. He woulda broke George’s face
@@alexanderkuczyk7391 The guy is still a cheapshot and dirty player, McPhee plays the game classy.
@@richardmadison1125 Brown overrated...lol.
George though as nails. Just ask Tocchet
Does anyone know if brown fought Simon.
Twice
@@TheSirhc1975 could you tell me the results
@@brucesturton8521 brown got pummeled
@@Bruins-vq5ey in both fights
I don't care how tough and big Brown is.
George was fighting til Brown killed him.
And knowing George he might of killed Brown first.
Rosen shutup, who cares caufield gets thrown out..he saved mcphee there. Caufield getting thrown out is nothing
Georgie was a scrapper who did real well despite being a dwarf. I hated Brown but atleast he was a legit fighter unlike Vukota who skated around guys like Niland and Kocur to get at pacifists and non fighters
Lol... what are you talking about ? Vukota had a great fight card
@@4thlineVoice Mick "Judo Hip Toss" Vukota had a excellent fight record? As stated any time there was a line scrum he went after the weakest guy and when he actually did "fight" he tried to either double leg takedown or trip his opponent.
The guy sucked. Actually a nice guy though I played open hockey with him at Gerry Hart's rink in Syosset twice. Fact is old school hockey players are all the best, never met one who wasnt awesome to be around. Very blue collar guys. But as for a fighter Vukota sucked
@@thegadflygang5381 I never said he had an excellent record I said he had excellent fight card.
You claimed he avoided legit guys and one look at his fight card shows that's not true
He did beat down a 43 year old Al secord. Lol
Look how tight Dave Browns left Sleeve was , tough to give him respect , it was made so tite , can’t grab it !!! Just a cheater !
It's not cheating when there was no rule against it
Knew guy who cheated on application to get govt job...he has 3 houses today amdnretired cheating works
i loved brownie
Good old brown dog.
Mcohee standing toe to toe with Brown
He got two good shots in when Brownie was grabbed from behind. But McPhee still gave it his best. He’s lucky Brownie was grabbed though.
You ain't lying brownie was ready to send him to the ER 😂😂😂😂@@Arizona_Stonah
No he wasnt...r u kidding?
@@georgebrennan2576no. What fight were you watching
Caufield saved Brown actually.
HaHaHaHaHa. Brown was landing flush on McPhee’s face and then Jay grabs Brown and McPhee lands because of it. LOL
What fight were you watching? Brown landed some great shots…
LOL!!!!
Caufield saved Brown actually - - Hahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!!!! This kind of hilarity just writes itself.
McPhee landed about 2 or 3 before the last one which MIGHT have been because Caufield jumped in, but before that happened it looked like Brown landed 1 decent punch MAYBE aside from the one that looked like it caught McPhee on the helmet knocking it off. McPhee certainly didn't look like he had lost in the aftermath at any rate, CLEAR WIN for McPhee. Brown should have sent Caufield a thank you note.
