    Extremely brutal customer service you experienced. Sorry about that. I have unfortunately had similar bad experience with my 2022 Model X Plaid with it completely dying on my wife at 12:30 AM when she was leaving work. My suggestion is to avoid the app if possible. I called in to the roadside assistance phone number and waited on hold for a long time but eventually spoke to a real person who basically immediately offered help and sent a tow truck.
    We had another issue earlier where a falcon wing door didn't fully close which limited our speed to less than 15 mph or something and we were out of town. I called the roadside assistance number that time also and they sent out a towtruck in half an hour.
    Sorry you went through this. Tesla makes excellent cars but has extremely terrible customer service

    I agree. This isn’t acceptable considering the timeframe, situation and the fact that your MYP is only a couple months old as well. Tesla does need better service as well as more service centers.

    In this situation I would first try to do a software reinstall through the service mode, it would have probably saved you the hassle of dealing with incompetent call center agents, this agent should be reprimanded. Tesla will never suggest that and will actually scare customers from doing it and will likely void your warranty if you mention it to them.

    I had a similar experience with my $40k jeep in warranty. The dealership told me to have the jeep towed to their dealership. This is why you have road service in your car insurance. So yeah, its what I would expect.
    Pretty sure its a 3rd party roadside service like all the others dealers have, so I am not surprised you need to make your own appointment. Same thing if you are standing in a Tesla service center. They will have you go onto the phone and initiate your appointment. Its the way the system is designed to work.
    I've learned that corporate Tesla is pretty heartless and are strictly black/white when it comes to their obligations. It doesn't matter what your Tesla dealership sales people tell you or do for you. You'll notice that when you chat on Tesla's website, you can't save the chat and if you change the webpage, kiss the chat good-bye and you won't be able to reach that same person again. I have no doubt they have this lame chat service just for that reason.
    Ugh... I could tell you stories. The moral of this story is... Tesla Corporate is just another dealership that won't give an inch even when in the wrong.

    Wow, I am surprised that a Tesla can get into such an unusable condition. Hopefully it is a rare event. The service you received is appalling!
    Did the service centre fix the problem? What was the issue? How did they repair the software?
    Thank you for sharing your experience. I am now reluctant about ordering a Tesla.

    Kind of a joke but being familiar with modern technology it almost seems like Tesla could use a hard reset button that returns the car to factory default, that works on a lot of wonky desktop computers I've debugged 👍🤔😏😊

    From my experience, the Tesla shop in Calgary has been very helpful to me. Hopefully it is consistent with your experience - I guess i'll find out on your next vid xD!

      FWIW, even for regular car brands the dealerships can vary quite a bit, most dealers are ok, a few are excellent, and unfortunately a small number shouldn’t be working for any brand because they can really suck 🤔😒🤨

    That's what happens when your car runs off of experimental software and you have no right to repair so you rely on one Corp to fix all your problems and they just say "nah."

      The black box nature of Tesla cars plus the fact that non Tesla third party mechanics can’t get any info about Tesla cars means one will have to rely on only Tesla dealers for repair and servicing information regarding used cars, regular car mechanics can’t even scan for problems because EVs in general have no OBD port and Tesla proprietary systems can only be diagnosed by Tesla technicians with they’re own computer systems 🤔

    I go one step up with phone call and ask to speak to their supervisor, as reading their script.
    That being said this is unacceptable and Elon Musk likes the notoriety yet not accountability.

    Not sure of the situation but maybe it’s not the car and it’s your key card. Have you thought of getting a key fob? I’m not sure if that’s the problem, just a thought.

    Should have sat your phones where the card goes. I was told to place my card there after I got in using my phone but didn't have the card so sat the phone in the cards spot and it started. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not though. 😂

      If your phone is a phone key, you should start your car no matter where you put your phone.

      @@ekinwong if it’s a Bluetooth type system the range shouldn’t require placing the phone in a particular spot on the car, in the same way Bluetooth headsets don’t require you to be really super close to your phone. If it’s just remote unlocking or operating some other system using the cell phone carrier then there is no range limitation, you could remote operate a system anywhere you have phone service in that regards….🤔

      I do have multiple roadside coverage but brand new Tesla comes with its own free roadside assistance well probably “pre paid included in the price of the new car”

    Well, were it not for the ending of this video, I was going to tell you to dump all 3 of your Teslas and place your order for a Rivians. Rivian would certainly not treat you this way! But the end of your video, you said they treated you better so there is that. So what happened? Is the Model Y all fixed? hat was the problem?

    Oh yeah tesla looks at us as walking cash machines and it's all setup like this because of this app service you take your car in for service and you get that 5k 10k 20k bill in the app saying pay on the app or were keeping your car 😂😂 love the car but I don't like tesla service center they lie and they won't even let you go inside the building

      New car comes with roadside assistance that is paid by the manufacturer. Tesla had to contact them to send a tow on their expense. It is just that simple
