Also all those politicians who buy a second home in London and can claim up to £24,000 per year in interest payments should be made to pay it all back once they leave parliament or when it’s sold. Why should they pocket the profit when it’s the taxpayers who pay that money, it’s just sick
No wonder there is no money for anything for the tax payers

Angela-Explainer 🤔
Reminds me of the old saying, people who throw stones shouldn’t live in glass houses.
The part of the workers, of course the soon to be deputy leader of the nation has two houses, doesn't every working person?
I couldn't give a ..... about ur birthday just weather you broken the law and that smug look isn't convincing anyone. Well see what the investigation brings up.
The investigation won't arrive at any conclusion because everyone who sold a council house could find themselves in the same situation if she pays hundreds of thousands will have to pay the same HMRC will clamp down god help the ignorant...
She's lying...her mouth is moving
Aren't these the people who insist we call them honourable or Right Honourable?
Dodges every question, i'm sure the police will do nothing like every single time before
Did she, didn't she? I don't know but quite right that the investigation is made.
it has been
While Tories have siphoned off billions to their friends and donors Rayner is hammered over maybe avoiding £9,000 in tax…. and they say we have a client media in this country….
Boris spent many times more on redecorating fml
Very true. But. That's not the point.
Imagine you and I both rob banks, but I get away with 10 million, whereas your bank only had 2 million. You're still a bank robber if the police catch you.
It's the uniparty political class career jobsworths like Raynor that are the problem.
@@T-Bone54 Okay now do the same thing but you steal 10 million and I steal a 50p chocolate bar.
If the press barely mentioned the 10 million but really attacked me hard for the chocolate bar you'd wonder whether they were being honest, fair and balanced.
Thats a much more representative example.
This of course assumes she is guilty which by the sounds of things might not be true.
So its actually you steal 10 million from a bank and then I get a chocolate bar from a shop and maybe could have stolen it but no ones quite sure yet.
Still the press very quiet about the confirmed 10 million and really upset about a possible chocolate bar theft.....
So that all right then?
@@markrobinson1369 Yeah probably. Given the context I have outlined above.
Billions to friends! Do elaborate. Please tell all.
Politicians often say 'let me be clear'. What a joke! The fact that they feel the need to say those words means that they haven't been 'clear' at all and probably never will be!
I’m sure it’s against the principles of the Labour Party mandates to buy council houses as there meant to be for council tenants
What about the tory that "forgot" to pay £3m tax, Zahawi?
She also didn’t flash the Tory front bench “Sharon Stone” style as claimed in LAST YEAR’s smear campaign….
It was Rayner that first made the claim that she did do that.
Deflection as usual
This being pushed by the Daily Mail. A paper ( or comic) owned by a Lord that pays no tax. The company that owns the Daily Mail pays no tax.
I know who I’d investigate,
Why didn't you make Angela answer the question: would labour increase NHS contributions??
It's curious, the way Rayner throws in the red herring of 'new' news of recession today. UK came out of recession and the first quarter of 2024 will actually indicate positive figures on the economy. How much more desperately can one try to distract from one's personal political problems.
Colour me surprised that an MP committed a crime, government now is the continuation of crime by other means
No crime here I am confident they will not find anything
Crime? Tax experts and the police have already cleared her once, it's only being investigated because a Tory has an axe to grind. This all happened years before she was even MP aswell.
Imagine when labour are in power this Woman will be our Delegate when speaking with other World Leaders!! What a Thought "Aye Oop"
That rabbit in the headlights look is always the giveaway!😊
The fact that the’ right to buy’ was only available to very few. The result has been the horrendous shortage of homes, sky high rents, property prices are now unaffordable for many, who have to leave their home towns to allow wealthier people to move in!
Why would a Labour MP buy a council house?
Why would an MP have a council property?
Surly when she became an MP, she could then afford to buy & should have given up the council property for someone far worse off?
And that’s the crime.
She bought the house years ago. What rules are there that says MPs have to give up their homes once they become an MP and should buy another home? She wasn't an MP when she bought her home. When she bought her home it stopped being a council house, it became her property. Why should she sell it because she's an MP?
Absolutely!
@@b62boom1that has absolutely nothing to do with the investigation 🤦♂️
How was right to buy only open to very few? I thought any council tenant could buy their home after they had lived in it for a number of years (5?) with the price dropping as your length of tenancy increased?
Of course all the best houses were snapped up first which meant the council was left with lower value housing.
She is the reason I won't be voting Labour, even though I'm fed up of the Tories!
14 years of tories robbing the poor to give to the rich and you wont vote Labour because ANgela Rayner was accused of somethign and found guilty of it? Disgraceful.
then abstain - unless you think the Tories have actually earned another 5 year term!?
Then I will happily blame people like you if the Tories win again.
Lock Her Up!
Too many loopholes in todays society that need closing. The trouble is, most of the MPs are abusing these loopholes for their own benefit.
£46,000 profit. CGT on properties was 28% (lowered to 18% in the last budget) for higher rate tax payers which she definitely is. £46,000 x 28% = £12,880. I’m much more bothered about a former Tory CHANCELLOR dodging more than 100 times as much tax.
I'm bothered by both. When the alternative to the current grifters is another band of grifters we really have no choices.
also you can just offset that profit against refurbishments, stamp duty, solicitors fees etc. She wouldn't need to pay CGT even if it wasn't her primary residence I expect. Really pointless news.
@@eddieelizabethhitler3259 exactly
@@eddieelizabethhitler3259agreed, they all have their snouts in the trough. Here’s the solution - pay them 100K per annum, give them security, do not allow any outside interests at all while serving and not for 5-10 years after resigning. Then we would get servants of the people and not the money making vermin we now have. They would not longer make policies for only the richest, the thing that is destroying our culture.
@@dominionphilosophy3698 I think they should be paid the average income of the poorest 50% of their constituents. That would make it performance related so they'd have to do their jobs properly.
