  • Is there anything sexy about SUVs? Let's see if the updated LS Captiva 7 is turning into a cougar.

To be honest, I was looking how to open the fuel tank of captiva. This helped a lot. I was using a different car and had button to open it. Thanks

So sorry to disappoint the Captiva bashers. We recently purchased a MY14 LS 7 seater Captiva for $18,000 market value being $24,700 with 30,000 kms on the clock.
We were extremely lucky to get it a lot cheaper as the couple were wanting to go back to Germany.
We have been extremely impressed with the car, it has done everything we have asked from it. We are even able to load into the back my Power electric chair plus the ramp & childrens car seats..Something will have to give if we have to take our Lab with us !!!
After having a Nissan Navara 2007 from new we decided with the cost of fuel it was time to make the change & so pleased with 550 klms on a tank of fuel. Our daughter has a Mini Cooper S & she gets the same milage per fill so we are very happy.

I was really disappointed by the MY14 LTZ I drove not long ago, there's not much difference between my 2011 LX and the new LTZ.
The thing that disapointed me the most and my wife was the first to comment on it and that was the LTZ seems to cheap compared to our car. The plastics seemed not as solid, the stereo didn't sound as good so they have used cheaper speakers.
They even deleted the opening window on the tail gate, to me while they have added a couple of things to it compared to mine. But it screams discontenting and cheapness. You touched on the key in your last video, I'm driving a Hyundai i30 this week the key fob is same set up as the Captiva's but it feels like it's actually solid and not made up of thin plastic that could break if you looked at it the wrong way.

Yes, I think there is a real risk of sales falling off a cliff if they held their content ground though. The LS felt very bare bones despite doing what it needed with reasonable success. I think Holden knew they needed to get the price down to protect its age from the rest of the market.
By the way, the sound was muddy and terrible in the LS too but speakers are a mere $200 swap out it you're a tight wad (and I am). :D

So am I mate, plus for some reason the speakers sound better in my car we put them side by side and played the same sound and you could hear the difference.
It's really needs to be replaced by the next model but it aint due for a bit.

would like to see how to change the front light bulbs as they keep blowing and is a little expensive putting the car in to have it done.

Captiva is a Daewoo...just like the Barina...get one up on the hoist and see all the Daewoo logo's underneath....engine, trans etc...and you wonder why they feel cheap....dah !
