I wish I could find actual footprint measurements of entire tent space. I am trying to decide if I can take the outer space 3 on camping trip next weekend. I am going with a group and we have an assigned camp site. With the measurements of entire footprint of tent including the vestibule, I can determine if there will be enough room.
Hello and thank you for reaching out. I have attached a link to the tent dimensions from our website. www.expedusa.com/collections/tents/products/outer-space-ii-and-iii?variant=32300201246810 If you scroll through the photos, it shows dimensions for the Outer Space III. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
@@MeMe-cd1wy Due to its relatively tall structure, we don't recommend using the Outer Space in winds greater than 20mph. We always recommend staking the tent down and securing the guylines in windy conditions. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
@@ExpedLLC I own 8 Exped mats. We bought different kinds for different uses. This is my first Exped tent. This is the first that was in my price range. Can’t wait to try it out.

I've got one of these. Broke a pole on about the 10th pitching. Check REI reviews for others with the same experience. I'm about to test the Exped 5 year guarantee
Did you resolve your issue, and how was your experience with them? I am thinking of making a purchase. Also, Exped advertises this as a 3-season. With your experience, can this handle a small amount of snow load? How does this tent handle wind? I'm on the east coast of Canada, and it can get windy very quickly. Cheers! :)
Fine, i contacted the UK distributor and they sent me another pole and repair instructions. We don;t get good snow here so never had a chance to test that. However, i would say this is not a tent for high winds - it's the opposite of low profile. @@tonytran5808
finally a light tent with more that one doesn't feel like wraped in a plastic bag :)
Amazing space! Eliminates the need for a tarp that many people add to create a good dry space.

I found the footprint. Thank you for the link. Will this tent stand up to 20 -40 mile an hour winds. The kind we have in California desserts?

Is it possible to set up tent without the rain fly if you want to be able to look up at the stars
Hi Tom. Great question. The tent cannot be set up without the rain fly, as the pole structure attaches to the rain fly.
OMG, how often does Ted nearly poke his eye out on the floating pole ends??!!
Will an exped megamat fit in this tent without your feet and head hitting the end of the tent?
This depends on how tall you are but in general no. The sidewalls are at an angle that this shouldn't be a problem.
Awesome
hallo, wenn schon untertitel aktiviert sind, dann sollten die mir doch bitte auch auf deutsch übersetzten ;)
What version is this?
This is the Outer Space III.

It would have been helpful, if he had told us which tent he is erecting, Outer Space II or Outer Space III! I guess it must be Outer Space III.
Hi Richard. You are correct. The tent in the video is an Outer Space III.
