Nice detailed video. Thanks. Seen this tent at the weekend and decided to order it. Been through a lot of tents over the years and this does look the perfect motorcycle tend 👍
Hi, I'm 1.85m and it is ok to get changed inside but it is not standing hight. But it good room to keep gear and get packed up and ready before loading the bike. //Johan
@@Rushhourmc I just got a smoking deal on the Outer Space 3- this video helped me to decide! It seems to be pretty close in packed size and weight, so I went for it.
Most vind comes from me inside the tent :) To be honest, have not tested in hard vind, there are cordes and pegz iI used once on one side when it was vind coming in from the sea.
I saw this and thought its ideal for me, then after watching the guy errect the tent realised its shit. I have never seen such a fiddley, complicated tent.
This is the first review I have found on this tent. I am really interested in it for the very same reason and usage as you are. Am riding mostly in Scandinavia too, and going to Lapponia frequently. So there are a few questions regarding this tent. The main one being wind stability, as it is quite a tall tent. It was good though to see it from a birds view as I never knew it was shaped that way. Second one is that the vents look like there could be some serious water entering that way?
@@Rushhourmc Haha. My camping is not half as hardcore as your riding. I ordered my set yesterday as I believe it is a bit more comfortable on longer trips than my tarp and hammock. It will be like glamping in comparison.😄
@@Rushhourmc True I guess its good in rainy situations. But those colors are difficult at night sometimes. With so many poles pieces. Specially when camping ones in a while. I like poles to be easy. But on daytime fine. By the way when packing wet I keep inner seperate. To keep it dry. Is that easy /possible with this tent?
@@afitlife Actually the Dome Structure make this typ of thents easy to dry, you can flip i upside down facing the sun... At the pole is in one big connected pieace I dont see hove you can set it up wrong =) Drying the tent ua-cam.com/video/EsawXabb4JY/v-deo.html Cheers // Johan

this looks a bit like a (smaller)evolution of my Andromeda II which i absolutely love, and also use MC camping. They really makes some great stuff, especially their tents. Love the vestibules, such a nice luxury. Bit heavy, but absolutely worth it for my uses. This looks much lighter.
All about matching your preferences. I like a DOME tent, freestanding and weight/pack size is important as well. Have great fun with your new tent =) // Johan
Hope it makes you happy :) The pole-dance is what it is but using rubberbands to separate the sections it’s perfect... Please join us on Facebook and share the result and pictures :) Serch RushHourMC:) Let me know if you are passing Stockholm. Cheers // johan
I like that this video starts with a beer. Priorities set right.
Always :)

Be carefull when beding the poles at the 3way link.
If it breaks Exped sends a new one. Just good to know :)
Advice is much appreciated. Thank you
Good call on the Highland Park!
Good shit for a rainy day =)
Love the drone shots! How tall are you and how do you find getting changed in it?

Thanks for this cool video! Lukas - Product Manager and Tent Designer, Exped AG, Switzerland
Thanks Lukas =)
Hi Lukas, will Exped itself also come with more videos about this tent? :)
Does it have optional guidelines
It has guidelines, I just dont use them to often…
How does this hold up in higher winds? Does it feel stable?

The Exped Orion was my go to Moto tent.
Nice tour! What is the length of the bundle of poles when they're all folded?
45 CM
just bought one of these, but they've been discontinued. i wonder why
Sad
Good tent !!!
I just broke a pole on mine, on the four way joint - a weak point apparently

Sad to say, I'm not that hardcore so I camp in heavy rain and wind =)
But I'm looking forward using it soon again =)

Thanks, a good new tent for motocamping
Super spacious. Good pole is one piece because its pretty complex design. Setting it up arriving at night can be complicated. But very clever design.
Pole’s has colour-code so I guess it is easier than most to set up, and pole’s on outside is best in rain...
Cheers :)

Nice video! I was wondering how the tent is holding up in more wind and rain, do you already have some experience with that?
I love it...
Just be careful with the (O shaped fittings) for where the three pools meet, be gentle pulling pooles appart from those (O ring joints)
Great tent, but the pole dance kept me from buying it. I bought the Vaude Chapel L XT 3 instead. It has an even bigger vestibule. 👍🏻
