Building systems is absolutely the way to go. My focus as I am building systems to improve my health and fitness is that I'm building a lifestyle rather than exercise programs and dieting. In Atomic Habits, there is the section about adopting the identity which I found very powerful and it ties right into my lifestyle mindset. It's not that I exercise and eat a certain diet, but that I am a healthy and fit person whose lifestyle reflects that identity. Sure I treat myself to elegant desserts occasionally. I can afford to do that because of the daily choices I make. Keep up the good work!
The easiest most realistic guide to Weight loss!!!! I took a tip from the book- 'habit by Charles Duhigg', where he describes the key to sticking to a habit is to pair it with an existing habit of yours. For me, I had a hard time waking up first thing in the morning to go for a jog. So I volunteered to drop my sister to the bus stand, and since I'm already out of bed and in my running shoes, I put on a podcast and go for a jog. Sometimes I'm half asleep and she's running late, so I have to get up no matter what. Three weeks in and I have never missed my 10k steps goal. P.s. - Now I'm stealing some of your tips for my diet.
