See, I love this video. Younger me was totally not in a good headspace; I desperately wanted to be in a relationship, being single was AWFUL. But, after being single for a while, I started really working on myself and I realized that it didn't matter how cool the guy I went on a date with was if I wasn't in a healthy mindset. If my brain was in 'must be in a relationship, doesn't matter who' mode, then I would allow myself to be mistreated and taken advantage of (hence my first two serious relationships). unpopular opinion: I don’t think the baby conversation is so bad on a first date. It can be super casual. I’ve talked about it before and it was so causal that it wasn’t even a thing. Of course i’m only 24 so I guess if you’re older maybe it adds pressure to the potential of the relationship too fast but in my experience it always goes something like “ehh i guess i’ll have a baby at some point. Start with one and see how that goes” super chill, no big deal.
