He cheated on her with a raving lunatic; in the long run she came out on top. "When someone steals your husband, the best revenge is to let her keep him"
I don't know how many times I have watched this movie. Or at least watch clips from it and had such happy Memories. the only thing that takes away from. It is the fact that Alan Rickman is gone. ❤ Everyone In it is great and the stories are wonderful. One of the best movies i've ever seen.
This movie takes simple "human experience" and pushes the boundary over a cliff! It's REAL! It's ALL there.. Joy and laughter. Marriage and adultery. Self expectation and self realization. We NEED other people!
Simply a fantastic movie with so many iconic actors and actresses in so many hilarious, sad and poignant scenes.Emma Thompson is breathtaking as the betrayed wife along with the perfect Joni Mitchell song-if that doesn’t bring a tear to your eye you’re made of stone! My fav comedy scene has to be (of course) Rowan Atkinson as the shop assistant-that man could make root canal work funny
Rowan Atkinson "This is SO much more than a bag". The "no bloody holly" scene makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch it. Alan Rickman was the best!
He is supposed to represent an Angel. He dissuades Alan Rickman from buying the necklace, the later makes it possible for the kid to get by security to say goodbye to Joanna- the American girl. I Love this premise 4:20
Watching Liam Neeson talk about the fact there's no only one and then him losing his wife yet effectively being single for 15 years begs to differ on his assertion 😢❤
It's a film full of absolutely stellar scenes, and every time I watch it, I always wish my father were still alive and we could have watched it together. I think you've selected very, very well. I think my favourite scene is when Aurelia comes down the stairs to Jamie. She is utterly enchanting,. Sam's wonderfully mobile face is and Joanna's unexpected kiss really make your number one number one. I wish you could have included Daisy telling Karen she hd been selected to play a lobster - FIRST lobster - in the Nativity play; Karen responds with incredulity over the fact that there were two lobsters present at the birth of Jesus, to which Daisy replies 'duh.' And I wish you had included the scene with Nancy the caterer and the spat-out food. All brilliant.
One of the most gloriously joyful movies of all time. Of course I bought a copy and watched it over and over. I can't believe I gave away all my dvd's, yikes! It's great to revisit these scenes. You missed another of the great ending scenes, with the Wisconsin girls arriving at the airport. There should be a whole genre of movies like this... lots of stories of love. Oh, yes, and the other ending, maybe as the credits roll, all those people at the airport meeting up with loved ones. Real people.
"“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.” (Richard Curtis)
Sadly you cut two of the best scenes in the film (04:52 "I quite look pretty") and (11:38 - "to me you're perfect") before they could achieve their full effect and significance.
Hugh Grant's dancing will forever be number 1 iconic 😂❤
The bedroom scene with Emma T in tears. We’ve all been there. Superb acting.
Absolutely brilliant! So real 😮
couldn't agree more !
Emma said that she used a memory for this scene, when her own marriage came to an end because of her husband´s infidelity.
Time heals wounds....but one remembers

This movie takes simple "human experience" and pushes the boundary over a cliff!

Self expectation and self realization. We NEED other people!
I've never seen a movie where I've laughed and cried so much in 1 film
Best scene was the young boy chasing through the airport, getting past security to get to his love. Brilliant.

I missed this movie on its theater run 2 decades ago. Now, its time for me to appreciate its greatness. What a great cast!

Fave movie of all time❤
Not sure how you could leave out the scene in the Wisconsin bar when Kris Marshall meets January Jones, Elisha Cuthbert et al.
Yes, that was also unique
Best scene ever! Love the whole movie tho😊
This film just takes my breath away every time I watch it❤
... Ivana Miličević, Shannon Elisabeth ("American Pie") and Denise Richards ("Wild Things") were the other three of the five ladies.
Love this movie!!!❤
There's no way that Hugh Grant's dance isn't in the top 3!! 😅😅

I think this put A Wedding and a funeral in the #2 spot
“ FOUR weddings and a funeral”
I never watched it until I saw a clip on UA-cam.
That was a nice place to end the video. 💖🤟🏻✨
Why is the little boy's love story the biggest tear jerker?
The best film ever
My fav movie!
But it’s Jamie, not Mark. Isn’t it ?
Correct. They were thinking of Mr. Darcy.
Bellisima sintesis de peliculas dedicadas al amor.
Rowan is 4 me😂🤣😆😁😆😅🤣
Manca una scena(per me bellissima) tra due colleghi timidi che non riescono a dichiararsi...ma nel ballo aziendale...❤❤❤
Colin Firth's character in this movie is Jamie not Mark! It's not Bridget Jones! Please correct.
Yep
Emma könnyei teszik ezt a habkönnyű darabot fel a térképre
Why do they no longer make movies like this?
Me encanta está película aunque hace años no la miro.
Film still makes me cry like a baby throughout. The french guy still makes me angry. She deserved better .
Sorry- what French guy?
