    Still not updated since 2007 I guess? But then again, reliability is the most important thing about the Tundra. Hopefully next gen will have a redisgned exterior and softer touch interior.
    And most importantly of all, a six straight diesel at 5 liters with three turbos with 600 hp and 1000 pound feet of torque.

    • @pikachupowers

    • @alextran8188
      @alextran8188 5 років тому +1

      1000 lbs/torque and 600hp would not make sense on a 1/2 ton. Toyota would have to develop a 3/4 ton or 1 ton tundra

    • @matthewr2361
      @matthewr2361 5 років тому +5

      Everyone wants toyota putting the latest and greatest things in their trucks but want reliability. You can't have both. Ford comes out with brand new shit every 2 - 3 years. Then you gotta wait 6-8 years for them to perfect it and by that time they're onto the next thing with another turbo and a transmission with 4 more gears... I'm not bagging Ford just an example cuz all manufacturers produced some shit engines even toyota. Their 90s model pickups are notorious for blowing head gaskets. I'm just saying these 5.7's are proven. People who buy a 2019 tundra, or 2016 tundra, if they keep it for 25 years it will still be working the same as when they bought it new, with hundreds of thousands of miles on them. That's what makes toyota awesome. Not having a soft-touch interior that's gonna split and crack and fade in 5 years. And a diesel engine that's gonna throw codes and have troubles out the gate till toyota can remedy the issues. If you save 6mpg on an engine that costs 10 grand more and is a diesel you aren't saving anything at the pump anyways. Let toyota be toyota. They've never been out front in terms of tech since they started. They've never been the most powerful, most luxurious option. They've for the most part been the most reliable and a viable option for the working class man who can't afford to trade up right after he pays the truck off. If you want awesome and latest and greatest then go with another brand. There's nothing wrong with trading a truck up every 5 years or so and nothing wrong going dodge or ford or chevy or whatever. Each brand offers tons of different options.

    Many people point out the outdated looks and features of the new Toyota’s so let me remind you that when you buy a Toyota, you are buying a long term reliable and safe vehicle. This means high quality parts and nothing less than tried and true.
    Not to mention that as a company, trucks and extra large SUV’s are not Toyota’s main market - cars and crossovers are, so that is where they will put their money.

    • @specialestness
      @specialestness 5 років тому

      Matt M i wouldn’t use the term safe. iihs was not nice to it this year. worst of the 2019 half tons. The Tundra is old and the frame is weak. It needs an update, so people calling it outdated are not out of line.
