You should do a scratch mITX case build for your next series!

Shauneh Might not be scratch but don’t forget the NR200P project coming up!

@@bittech1 I dream of an nr200p with a c14 using only the bottom fan, and a 3000 series evga ftw3 card with the shroud taken off and noctua fans underneath. It’s my dream build right now. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that we all want to see a custom bead blasted aluminum open sff chassis with gpu, cpu, ram, and radiators built into the distroplate. Go even more extreme by doing solid metal cables running through the distro to the components. It would be epic and beautiful. And I would have to figure out where you live so I can sneak in and steal it.

The NES was my favorite emotionally but the csgo was clearly the most in depth.

I would like to see your take in the InWin 925 to be sincere. That case ticks a lot of my own tastes, as someone who remember fondly the times of the SilverStone TJ07, Coolermaster Stacker 832 (that I still own in factory original, no modded state) and LianLi V1000/V2000 cases.
My dream case at the moment is still or modding for modern times my 832 or the InWin D-Frame, the original model, with some custom fabrication of panels and add-ons.

Black Phoenix I wish the 929 hadn’t been produced in such minuscule quantities, very interesting chassis that.

@@bittech1 Well the problem that I see is the same as always - Limited Editions that InWin loves to do, together with a high price and low market sales because of the shift that most users are doing to mITX (with the death of SLI and when most of users only uses an expansion slot is understandable) and the price they put on their cases, tailored to enthusiasts as us.
A normal user don't have £500 plus for a bunch of folded and cut aluminium, they are happy with a Fractal Design or an NZXT or even a Phanteks Chassis. They don't even have the guts to make an hole or cut a part on a case that expensive.
It was the same back there, from the 3 chassis I mentioned (CM 832, LL V1000/V2000 and SS TJ07) the cheapest was the CM 832 by a whole £200 less than the other 2.
I really miss the old times, when you had a graphics card plus a PhysX card (who remembers the ASUS PhysX P1 GRAW or the BFG Ageia PhysX? I had the Asus one) and a proper sound card (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS in my side) because MB audio were sh#t.
Nowadays MB are good enough for everything integrated, add a graphic card and you have a beast of a Gaming/Workstation PC in a case no bigger than 2 Shoe Boxes stacked (sometimes even smaller).
Only enthusiasts as us and the ones who have really a reason for as music professionals, video/photo professionals need full fledged towers with lots of internal and external expansions.
And even for them there are more functional and cheaper cases than the InWin 929. This kind of cases are the "German Shepherds" he loved to show in our tables, where the market now is more into showing our "Bulldogs".
But enough rambling and nostalgia ("Another one saying that the old times were better than now, etc etc etc..." And I'm not that old, in my middle 30s...)

Corsair stuff is okay, I guess. But don’t waste money with their Commander Pro. Just cut off the preparatory connecters and splice on standard connectors that you can plug into your motherboard.

Cool video. In regards to the cyberpunk builds. I don't really understand building something in honer of a game no one has played yet. It's one of those games that is over hyped and is probably only going to popular for a couple of months. Then after the hype is done and everyone is mostly done with the game, you have a build with a game plastered all over it that no one cares about. Seems like a waste.

Very talented people, but does anyone else find something fundamentally wrong with having a giveaway in which all the possible winners ALREADY have amazing rigs and or access to hardware the rest of people will never own or have access too? Just saying, I think it'd be cooler if computer hardware/water cooling hardware giveaways went to those who would otherwise never own them

    • @bittech1

I think that’s a misunderstanding based on a preconception of the sort of person in this contest.
The Modders in MotM are very much regular enthusiasts. Many do this in their free time on the side whilst having families and tough jobs. They put a lot of work into these rigs, the prizes have always been about helping to reward that hard work and enable further projects.
Simply giving hardware away sounds noble, but it’s fatally flawed in that ultimately it often gets scooped up by those who don’t need it either. It’s nigh on impossible to vet before hand.
Heck before joining Bit, I won a few Mod of the Month contests and Mod of the Year. I can confirm first hand that the prizes made a big difference to me and back then they weren’t even as considerable.
