third life/last life IS/ARE kind of the base/bases of every series. multiple lives (green, yellow, red, dark green optionally) sometimes a bogeyman included like last life or limited life, and a lot of other things. it was the starting series too, so i would assume that the base of a series would be the ‘base’ of a song too

I don't know, although I like oy, the song has a quite a bit of slow downs and breaks, or ending in lines that just don't ryhme or fit that well. Tower of affirmation part fits quite badly and doesn't ryhme, song comes to a full stop two times, with death of Jimmy and Skizz and later with the flash back, and just over with lines like "The bad boys are using my SkyNet" or Bdubs final line, it often ends in verses that just don't ryhme.
@Mrcoffe-xw8gz A song being a song isn’t just about the rhymes, it’s about the rhythm and even with lines that didn’t rhyme with previous ones fit the beat of the song, especially with the buildup part at the end. And with how fast paced the song is, the slowdown parts have more impact especially because this song has a visual element to it. This is just how I see it ofc and I’m no musical genius but the more I listen to this song the better flow it gets. It’s also just possible the Lifers rhymed less this season and the song is still amazing-you just gotta remember it all comes from a predetermined pool of lines. Limited Life has been turned into a song, a consistent summary of the series and that’s awesome!

I know I saw it somewhere lol) iirc, he was sick at the time and was tired of how long it was taking to make the end fight fair (same hearts / time remaining), so he decided to just end it so he could finally get a rest. I know you said that you weren't super confident/happy with this one, but this is my favorite life series song BY FAR. The way you managed to keep up the rhymes with FULL conversations, not just clipping seperate ones together (the button convo and Martyn's finale speech, etc.) was super impressive. Plus the fast paced rhythm and genius use of different rhyme schemes than just the normal ones was super fun to listen to. Maybe it's just my ADHD brain liking the pacing/rhythm or the lifers having really good quotes this season, but you have genuinely come far with your musical talent and techniques. Keep up the good work, Anvil, you're doing wonderful!
the LORE IMPLICATIONS of martyn doing what he did because of his hatred for "the desert bros" and how impulse and scott wronged him and ren in third life IS WILD HELLO?!?!?!?? (also theres a little cheeky "most lyrics from limited life" at 0:05 foreshadowing that part, which i LOVE)
especially in seasons they arent together though last life they were allies till the end with scott mentioning ren killing pearl before slaying him, in double life yes they were soulmates but not allies with scott dying so pearl wins, in limited life we see as pearl was hunting martyn but scott hunts her back , in secret life pearl and scott were in the opposite sides of the final 2 alliances with pearl losing her mounders and chasing scott and doing damage that he realised letting gem kill him is the best choice and they were allies again in wild life.

Guys. Im literally in tears. We just finished the discord sings in the forge (join it its the coolest server) and i was just reminded again of how THAT ENDING SHOOK ME TO THE CORE. The third life flashback just absolutely destroyed me. Scott saying “just like our forefathers, scar and grian” that shook me in a way thats impossible to describe. When i say i was crying i mean like shaking ugly crying the whole shabang. I know im a stupid baby for that cuz its just minecraft but that hit HARD. I completely forgot about that bit and it slapped me across the face. the “brothers in arms” bit made me tear up as well. So freaking adorable.

Having given a few re-listens, I’ve decided this is my favorite of your life series songs. You successfully matched the pure chaos that occurred during that season, and the rhymes were surprisingly complex. The call backs were tastefully done as well. The near-mono mix was an interesting touch, and I’m still not sure how I feel about it, but the mix itself was good regardless of how much of the stereo spectrum you did or did not use.
Yeah, and also the idea of having a constant reminder that you're going to die, combining the certainty of it with the uncertainty of not knowing how far you'll make it makes Limited Life a very tense series imo. The timer encapsulates the vague feeling present in all other seasons

I love this so freaking much, and I can't wait for Martyn's jaw to drop when he reacts to it. I in particular love how much more the events of the series before the bloodbath were covered. That was arguably the one flaw of the last 3, putting too much emphasis on the destination and not enough on the journey, but you did a great job in that department here. I think it goes without saying that your rendition of the finale was a masterpiece, but Jimmy's, Skizz's and Pearl's deaths were handled amazingly as well. I just can't stop complimenting this song haha, it's genuinely one of my favorite lyrical pieces. Oh, and don't feel pressured by the community to keep making these or keep making them at a certain pace, I don't want you to become the next DM Dokuro.

The way you keep bringing back the third life motif is so brilliant! First in Skizz's affirmation part (1:09), then when Jimmy dies (2:04), and in the background, really subtly in the flashback to third life (3:23). It's so brilliant and I love how it's present in (almost?) all of your life songs.
The motif is in all of Anvils life songs: 3rd life (obviously), last life (definitely the beginning and end jingle, also in the final dual), double life (at the beginning when during the silhouette part and before the second chorus/before „Call the dogs of war“ ) and finally limited life (which as you mentioned includes it multiple times)

third life/last life IS/ARE kind of the base/bases of every series. multiple lives (green, yellow, red, dark green optionally) sometimes a bogeyman included like last life or limited life, and a lot of other things. it was the starting series too, so i would assume that the base of a series would be the ‘base’ of a song too

I adore how fast paced and rushed everything feels, this song really gives the impression that you're running out of time.
Another comment mentioned that it’s in 60bpm, eg a beat every second, like a clock. I haven’t checked tho so idk
I don't know, although I like oy, the song has a quite a bit of slow downs and breaks, or ending in lines that just don't ryhme or fit that well. Tower of affirmation part fits quite badly and doesn't ryhme, song comes to a full stop two times, with death of Jimmy and Skizz and later with the flash back, and just over with lines like "The bad boys are using my SkyNet" or Bdubs final line, it often ends in verses that just don't ryhme.
@Mrcoffe-xw8gz A song being a song isn’t just about the rhymes, it’s about the rhythm and even with lines that didn’t rhyme with previous ones fit the beat of the song, especially with the buildup part at the end. And with how fast paced the song is, the slowdown parts have more impact especially because this song has a visual element to it. This is just how I see it ofc and I’m no musical genius but the more I listen to this song the better flow it gets. It’s also just possible the Lifers rhymed less this season and the song is still amazing-you just gotta remember it all comes from a predetermined pool of lines. Limited Life has been turned into a song, a consistent summary of the series and that’s awesome!

I know you said that you weren't super confident/happy with this one, but this is my favorite life series song BY FAR. The way you managed to keep up the rhymes with FULL conversations, not just clipping seperate ones together (the button convo and Martyn's finale speech, etc.) was super impressive. Plus the fast paced rhythm and genius use of different rhyme schemes than just the normal ones was super fun to listen to. Maybe it's just my ADHD brain liking the pacing/rhythm or the lifers having really good quotes this season, but you have genuinely come far with your musical talent and techniques. Keep up the good work, Anvil, you're doing wonderful!

especially in seasons they arent together though last life they were allies till the end with scott mentioning ren killing pearl before slaying him, in double life yes they were soulmates but not allies with scott dying so pearl wins, in limited life we see as pearl was hunting martyn but scott hunts her back , in secret life pearl and scott were in the opposite sides of the final 2 alliances with pearl losing her mounders and chasing scott and doing damage that he realised letting gem kill him is the best choice and they were allies again in wild life.

Having given a few re-listens, I’ve decided this is my favorite of your life series songs. You successfully matched the pure chaos that occurred during that season, and the rhymes were surprisingly complex. The call backs were tastefully done as well. The near-mono mix was an interesting touch, and I’m still not sure how I feel about it, but the mix itself was good regardless of how much of the stereo spectrum you did or did not use.
Incredible as always. Wasn't expecting Ren the Red King to make a cameo appearance, but damn, I'm glad he did. Literal chills!

Yeah, and also the idea of having a constant reminder that you're going to die, combining the certainty of it with the uncertainty of not knowing how far you'll make it makes Limited Life a very tense series imo. The timer encapsulates the vague feeling present in all other seasons

2:45 always gives me shivers when I rewatch it. The music and the call back from double life, it's absolutely amazing :).
I remember that Limited Life was on going when you premiered your 3rd Life song. It feels like things have looped around…like a clock (I didn’t intend to write a pun in that)
But the actual song. WOW. THIS IS AMAZING! YOUR LIFE SERIES MOTIF WHEN JIMMY FALLS. THE FLASHBACK TO PREVIOUS SEASONS. THE PURPLE HIGHLIGHT ON THE PEOPLE WHO HAD WON UP TO THAT POINT IN THE CREDITS. LITERALLY THE ENTIRE SONG. EVIL ANVIL, YOU ARE A GENIUS.

I love this so freaking much, and I can't wait for Martyn's jaw to drop when he reacts to it. I in particular love how much more the events of the series before the bloodbath were covered. That was arguably the one flaw of the last 3, putting too much emphasis on the destination and not enough on the journey, but you did a great job in that department here. I think it goes without saying that your rendition of the finale was a masterpiece, but Jimmy's, Skizz's and Pearl's deaths were handled amazingly as well. I just can't stop complimenting this song haha, it's genuinely one of my favorite lyrical pieces.
Oh, and don't feel pressured by the community to keep making these or keep making them at a certain pace, I don't want you to become the next DM Dokuro.

I love the use of the life series motif when skizz comes in with his affirmations, like a beacon of trust in a world of betrayal.
The way you keep bringing back the third life motif is so brilliant! First in Skizz's affirmation part (1:09), then when Jimmy dies (2:04), and in the background, really subtly in the flashback to third life (3:23). It's so brilliant and I love how it's present in (almost?) all of your life songs.
The motif is in all of Anvils life songs: 3rd life (obviously), last life (definitely the beginning and end jingle, also in the final dual), double life (at the beginning when during the silhouette part and before the second chorus/before „Call the dogs of war“ ) and finally limited life (which as you mentioned includes it multiple times)
