In 3rd life Scar looses his red life to Grian. In Last Life Mumbo and Jimmy loose their red lives to Grian. In Double Life Grian causes Scar’s final death. In Limited Life Grian and Joel get Jimmy to push the minecart, resulting in Jimmy’s death. In Secret Life I think Grian placed the enderman that killed Etho, but I can’t remember if Etho died from it or just got harmed by it.
ive never actually seen an animatic like this. all the others show that grian was just being mean and scar was being left. but here, it shows thag the only reason grian wanted bigB is because he was scared of hurting scar again. its amazing.
I love the desert Duo and I love this animatic of it. I don't want Grian to be mean. He's just a scared little bird who doesn't want to hurt his friend again.
I like to imagine with some of the other Desert Duo animatics that Grian can't forgive himself for hurting Scar in Third Life so he tries to distance himself from Scar.

The transition from 1:28 to "I'll never go home again" being Scar with pizza and the bee genuinely made me cry, to the point where I had to pause and then restart the video- You have such a phenomenal grasp on timing, composition, and delivery, this is beautiful. It makes me want to weep. The song choice, the art, all of it is just so perfect and I'm going to be crying for like days-- Thank you.
I love the contrast between when Scar and Grian were friends and felt the same way. And how energised and happy Grian was, and how different Scar was. Then the change in double life when Scar is a different person and Grian just feels internally depressed, wishing for his old friend. It is so sad, but you portray it so well with the song too and all the animations. 1000000/1
This ties the series together so well!!✨ And 3:35 was simply brilliant- the sculk grows when things die and when he gets revived/ the watchers end the memory the sculk fades away and he's just left in shock

Scar was so supportive of Grian no matter what even when he was trying to kill scar he let him do it. Its sad to see that the end turned out that they had no choice but to kill each other
The animation at the end with Grian was incredible!! I was not expecting it. I love this whole thing so much. I’ve been waiting for it since the teaser and it turned out amazing. Every scene is done really well and I can really feel the emotion with it. All of the parallels between the series is so good! With Grian thinking back to 3rd life and seeing Scar just being happy and smiling so much… And the scene with Grian having his sword by Scar and then showing the duel with him killing him was all done so well! And Grian and Scar splitting apart and then showing Grian after he killed Ren and BigB was so good!! And the picture with Scar’s horse and Jelly just seeing him suddenly die and disappear was kinda heartbreaking.🥺 I love this so much! 👏🏻

I'm watching all the animatics I can find bc Limited Life just came out, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is AMAZING. The song is brilliant, and the flashbacks of 3rd life, then going back to double life? I love how Grian has goat horns to symbolize one of the biggest things from double life, and the little allay. PIZZA TOO OMG PIZZA IS SO CUTE!!!! I loved grians wings being different- they remind me of the wings ppl commonly give him from s6. And the part where grian is going to kill Scar in 3rd life and he's fine with it- then when they have to fight at the end. The Warden animation is also excellent, and I love how you animated their deaths together. BIGB'S GHOST after grian killed Ren and in turn, bigb?? And I was so shocked I had to pause the video when I saw Jellie and Scars horse looking upset over scars death. And ik a lot of ppl have commented a lot abt it, but the Watcher details at the end, and Grian respawning to the rift in hermitcraft s9?? I'm SO excited to see if you decide to do any Limited Life series animations when the series is done!! This is a GREAT animation! It's colored, it's FULLY finished (No storyboard/outlines), and it's even got a smooth animation at the end! It's amazing to see series like last-life get animated by great animators like this, keep up the great work! (Or take a break, this looks like something that took months to finish :P)

Okay, coming back a year later, i just want to say this animatic changed me. Like, the course of my life was alyered because of this anamatic. The song is not one of my favorites and I listen to it when feeling melancholic or mellow. This is the animatic that got me back into desert duo, fanfiction, and Mcyt after the death of technobale and the dream smp blow up. This animatic means so much to me amd i just wanted to thank you even though youll never see this. From the premiere to now, this is amazing
IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, AND I'M IN SO MUCH PAIN BUT THIS WAS SO GOOD, AHHHHHH--! The art was absolutely gorgeous, everything beautifully melancholy and I couldn't help but smile throughout watching it. And the final animation with the rift, woah O_o Amazing job!!

@@birdalotl it's a different name for the life series. i was so confused about it at first but i think i've figured it out. it references the colors that indicate what life the player is on; red, yellow, and green are also the colors of a traffic light
I watched this for the first time when i was part way through watching double life and hadn't watched 3rd life at all (yes, ive been working backwards and also out of order completely) and I just finished 3rd life, having finished double life before it. The first watch through i was admittedly confused but in awe of the art and quality, and now I appreciate those two things even more and I'm crying my eyes out BECAUSE THE PARALELLS OUUUUUCH.
OOOH IT'S HERE AT LAST! And it's even more amazing than I ever thought it would be!! The usage of colors and expressions and the flow between both 3rd Life and Double Life hits so hard, it's so good!!! So happy your managed to complete something this big, it's wonderful! And that ending with the rift and the sculk just ties it together so perfectly!

I really love this!! The way you pace these animations are phenomenal to watch. It starts so slow and then it amps up throughout until every moment feels like a punch. The contrast at the start of the quiet music and the cold colors and the black background to scars death works so wonderfully. The way you show Grian being stuck in the past by continually showing that it’s HIM having these flashbacks is fantastic. I really love the specific moment when it goes from dl!scar smiling to 3l!scar smiling and then transitions to dl!Grian looking in horror. The expressions throughout this whole animation are just stunning. You illustrate Grian’s reluctance and terror of repeating the past throughout the entire video. I really like how double life is mostly cooler colors and grayscale backgrounds with the characters being bright, while third life is the opposite, especially with scar’s design!! I love the bit with the ladder where you just show the blood on it. Absolutely brilliant! And the ending!!! Is so cool!!! Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece!!

idek abt hermitcraft or any of its members, i don't know what any of this is about, i can vaguely get a story out of this but that's it. i watched mumbo and grian when i was younger, that's pretty much the extent of it. but something about this animatic scritches the brain in SUCH a specific way. because *god.* something about grian and scar being stuck with each other. being unable to be untethered from each other. from chaos in one life to bound together in another. i dont know they just make me tear my hair out and idek them

I'm watching all the animatics I can find bc Limited Life just came out, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is AMAZING. The song is brilliant, and the flashbacks of 3rd life, then going back to double life? I love how Grian has goat horns to symbolize one of the biggest things from double life, and the little allay. PIZZA TOO OMG PIZZA IS SO CUTE!!!! I loved grians wings being different- they remind me of the wings ppl commonly give him from s6. And the part where grian is going to kill Scar in 3rd life and he's fine with it- then when they have to fight at the end. The Warden animation is also excellent, and I love how you animated their deaths together. BIGB'S GHOST after grian killed Ren and in turn, bigb?? And I was so shocked I had to pause the video when I saw Jellie and Scars horse looking upset over scars death. And ik a lot of ppl have commented a lot abt it, but the Watcher details at the end, and Grian respawning to the rift in hermitcraft s9?? I'm SO excited to see if you decide to do any Limited Life series animations when the series is done!! I love your animation style, and I loved the other video of yours where it was "never love an anchor"!! Good job, very very well done

This is a GREAT animation! It's colored, it's FULLY finished (No storyboard/outlines), and it's even got a smooth animation at the end! It's amazing to see series like last-life get animated by great animators like this, keep up the great work! (Or take a break, this looks like something that took months to finish :P)

Okay, coming back a year later, i just want to say this animatic changed me. Like, the course of my life was alyered because of this anamatic. The song is not one of my favorites and I listen to it when feeling melancholic or mellow. This is the animatic that got me back into desert duo, fanfiction, and Mcyt after the death of technobale and the dream smp blow up. This animatic means so much to me amd i just wanted to thank you even though youll never see this. From the premiere to now, this is amazing

I watched this for the first time when i was part way through watching double life and hadn't watched 3rd life at all (yes, ive been working backwards and also out of order completely) and I just finished 3rd life, having finished double life before it. The first watch through i was admittedly confused but in awe of the art and quality, and now I appreciate those two things even more and I'm crying my eyes out BECAUSE THE PARALELLS OUUUUUCH.
OOOH IT'S HERE AT LAST! And it's even more amazing than I ever thought it would be!! The usage of colors and expressions and the flow between both 3rd Life and Double Life hits so hard, it's so good!!! So happy your managed to complete something this big, it's wonderful! And that ending with the rift and the sculk just ties it together so perfectly!

I really love this!! The way you pace these animations are phenomenal to watch. It starts so slow and then it amps up throughout until every moment feels like a punch. The contrast at the start of the quiet music and the cold colors and the black background to scars death works so wonderfully. The way you show Grian being stuck in the past by continually showing that it’s HIM having these flashbacks is fantastic. I really love the specific moment when it goes from dl!scar smiling to 3l!scar smiling and then transitions to dl!Grian looking in horror. The expressions throughout this whole animation are just stunning. You illustrate Grian’s reluctance and terror of repeating the past throughout the entire video. I really like how double life is mostly cooler colors and grayscale backgrounds with the characters being bright, while third life is the opposite, especially with scar’s design!! I love the bit with the ladder where you just show the blood on it. Absolutely brilliant! And the ending!!! Is so cool!!! Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece!!

idek abt hermitcraft or any of its members, i don't know what any of this is about, i can vaguely get a story out of this but that's it. i watched mumbo and grian when i was younger, that's pretty much the extent of it. but something about this animatic scritches the brain in SUCH a specific way.
