The fake nurses need to be found and arrested. My grandpa has dementia and visit him daily at the facility he’s at. The level of incompetence and “I don’t give a dang about the patients” attitude runs rampant there!

Thier were really great places but their were really bad ones aswell. I am sad that I feel this is common, one nursing home burnt down in my area resulting in 2 death one firefighter and resident. I am a nurse, and this doesn’t surprise me. I remember when I was looking for a nursing program here in South Florida, there is so many mini shady schools. I remember calling one of them and without asking me any further questions they told me I can come to class tomorrow. Literally in the middle of the semester and in the middle of the week you want me to come to class tomorrow? No questions about my prerequisites. No questions about anything they just wanted a down payment and come to class. Of course I didn’t go there. Then you have those who try to rush you through school and want you to take your prerequisites at the same exact time you’re doing the program. Prerequisites are prerequisites for a reason.

I’m a nurse and I can tell you that if anyone study hard they can pretty much pass the NCLEX.. the problem comes once you’re actually on the floor. A lot of nursing is practical and I have worked with nurses RN and LVN that doesn’t even know how to change a diaper or even clean a NG tube. Even just basic care.. that’s where it gets dangerous. The smallest mistake can take a life. Jus because they passed a test does not make them qualified. They were taking the easy way out. You can go to a community college for mostly free for your nursing degree and even apply for the bridge program for your RN. They paid 15,000 for fake degrees.. that’s crazy. Unfortunately they are going to make it harder for future nurses and the ones that are currently working.

Some of them were foreign medical graduates from places like D.R. , Haiti, India or Cuba. Unfortunately, sitting for the USMLE is no walk in the park along with being expensive to prepare for. When faced with dead end jobs in the states or the nursing scheme some choose the scheme. I personally know 3 people who did this. They grew weary of the US system to enter the medical field legally and took short cuts. It’s wrong regardless of if they had the degree in their home country or not and I told them directly. Just food for thought.
