I don’t know why I enjoy these videos, but I do. I typically stop in at Cabelas most days when I go to my office (2-3 days a week right now), and I check Walmart once a week maybe only for shotgun ammo or .22lr.

Looks like you live in an ammo rich area. I haven't checked my local in a while, but our RK and Wally world shelves have been completely empty for nearly 2 years. I checked Dunhams the other day about 20 miles from me and their shelves weren't empty, but there were no deals. I did manage to pick up some 9mm in an Acadomy about 30 miles away last week.
We've definitely been pretty stocked up around here for a while now.

@@ToolsandTargets you’ll for sure have fun with it for sure. You’re right about cost on those too. I would not recommend reloading unless you’re going to shoot a ton. You could however sell your brass for probably a dollar or more per pc. My birthday was last Sunday and took my 500 mag out with some 500 grain loads I made and after 10 shots, that was all I could handle. Powerful dudes man. 50 Beowulf in a rifle platform will surely be more fun and less painful. 😂. Can’t wait to see your new toy.
@@upholdthesecond92 I've got my eyes on a .500 magnum Hunter and a .460XVR at my local shop. They both are amazing looking but I'm kinda leaning towards the .460 just since I can shoot a few different calibers. They also have a lever action Winchester 1892 takedown Trapper model in .357 that I'm drooling over. Such a tough decision!😣😣

Can't wait to see that 50 Beowulf perform. Might put a old car door behind the jelly for it. I checked because I wasn't sure if 50AE would fire in the Beowulf but rims are different so that's a No no. Odd that RK & Dunhams can get ammo but Wally World can't. Things really changed when Sam Walton passed away. He loved hunting & shooting.
Yeah. It's a shame what Wallyworld has become. I might need to put a whole car in front of the jelly for this Beowulf. I don't think there's even a slight chance the gel will catch this stuff.
@@ToolsandTargets Just a little more pop than a 55gr fmj from a 5.56. About 5 times the cost. Over 2,000 fpe might brighten up the sky in low light. Need a set of welders glasses. Have fun.

@@JohnLloydScharf Most 50 Beowulf ballistics are measured from a 16 inch length barrel. Twist rate usually is 1 in 20.
You should do the 9mm budget HP test. Remington makes them also. Definitely one of my fav channels now. Apparently you were on Smashtime, but i missed you.

I run 420 gr. Underwood Extreme Penetrators. It's the truck gun. It's for Kenworth's, Peterbuilt's and rogue soccer mom minivans.
Never know what yer' gonna "run into" on the byways.
I use Gen2 Hexmags, but short load the capacity to around 8 rounds. No dot, no irons, just a thumb touch mounted lazer at 12 o'clock on the appropriate location on the rail.

Walmart has had 12 gauge slugs and buckshot lately. Limit 3 boxes but I can usually get something.

We've been pretty good here with stock bein filled up.
I bought 3 boxes of the federal 22 a while back for 17 dollars a box. Enjoyed the video. Brass is as expensive as loaded rds. Can’t wait to see how the rattlers do . It’s plum pitiful around here too find ammo. No reloading supplies, it’s a shame. At least some people are Blessed.
Yeah, thank goodness I don't have to buy brass for anything since I have so much saved up. It wouldn't even be worth loading if I had to buy it.

I haven't bought 45 Colt in years. I have 4 ammo boxes full of reloads. Same for 45acp. I really have to shoot more often.

Can't wait till you get that .50 Beowulf together and to the range for first shots. Even though dunhams is usually overpriced on stuff most of the time, I must admit they as well as all the other places you frequent are really on top of keeping the shelves very well stocked, someone is certainly on top of things and doing their job. If you are looking for some Winchester 22 hyper velocity hollow points you can find them at Walmart, we got some from them about a month ago

In our area we can find them when I’m stock at Theisen’s which is like Rural King and the local Walmarts. I Live in Northeastern Iowa and we find sometimes but not often. The ones you need we have seen and if you go back one of your past videos about a month or two ago on your videos you may of had it at your local Walmart which in the video it was 12 cents a round for it though.
With that 50 Beowulf you're going to have to give up the jelly and get a stack of solid core house doors to test with!

They opened a Dunham's in Rock Springs, Wyoming. I stopped in to check it out they are really proud of their stuff. Lots of ammo on the shelf, but no one was buying
They're the highest priced around here by far.
As of 12-12-2021 in Tampa, Florida at Bass Pro Shop they want $ 49.99 for Winchester Steel Forged .9mm - 150 rds.. SMH.... be well.

I'd be careful with that federal auto match, I had 8 boxes of it, shot 4 of em and was getting a ridiculous amount of failures in 5 different guns (ruger 10/22, ruger wrangler, ruger lcp2, ruger mark 3, Smith and wesson 22a), one box I had at least 40 failures, from failures to fire, failure to feed (previous round underpowered), failure to eject (underpowered rounds), all of those guns were and are reliable, they'll shoot anything else just fine, the lcp2 is a bit picky but I had 100% reliability with it with an older box of auto match, also a less relevant point is an overcharged round of auto match blew up my tx22 but I got all that sorted out and federal customer service was very helpful, sad part is that was the 7th round out of that box, sent the rest to federal and they all tested good, go figure, I'm sure that was just a freak accident as that's very uncommon as you already know, I'm definitely not gonna get any more of the stuff, the other 3 boxes had 20-30+ failures each also, I stopped counting after about 10 or so, on the bright side I got pretty quick with clearing the malfunctions but I wouldn't use it for anything but plinking
If it matters to you I was getting about 4.5moa or so with the auto match in my 10/22, got 1.5moa with mini mag varmint in a quick 10 shot group which I thought was pretty decent
Anyway, hopefully that helps ya and hopefully you don't have the same issues with it that I have but as consistent as the unreliability has been for me I'm sure it's about the same for everyone else
Also on a side note all the guns were clean and lubricated and they all have about 500-1500 rounds through each of them and have always been reliable
I've shot a good bit of it and have had my share of failure to ignites. The worst for me though are the Winchester 333's. Those things are absolutely horrible for no fires, and tons of ftf and fte. The projectiles are so sloppy in those things, you can pretty much just push em right out with your thumb.😣
@@ToolsandTargets only remington 22s I've seen in quite a while is the 500rd thunderbolts, and to think I quit buying that because I was averaging 6 failures per brick, definitely could have saved quite a bit getting that instead of the auto match, but ive had so many issues with remington ammo in general that I don't even trust the stuff to be safe
I'm definitely a proponent for buy American but these days it seems of you want ammo that you know is gonna be right, it's mostly the foreign made stuff, ive really been liking Norma 9mm, shoots fantastic, check out normashooting and they've got some decent prices, especially when they have a sale

@@ToolsandTargets I've always had very good results with winchester but I got 2 333rd and 1 555rd brick of super x that was made within the last 2 years, have been saving it since all else I have pretty much is mini mag and auto match, the mini mags have been reliable, hopefully I don't have any issues with the winchester. Otherwise I might just have to start buying the expensive stuff, ie mini mags, stingers, and Aguila

I've stopped at a few Dunham's stock decent overpriced still stopped at Rural King the other day really nothing new went to Cabela's today fully stocked tons of 9 mm and 40 all the hunting rifle ammo tons of 556/223.... But no 45 aarp is what i was looking for.. I picked up some herter's 30-30 I picked up one box looked around went back to pick up some more of it and it was all gone in a matter of seconds

Good video but no ammo where I live. I saw online Federal has .357 but over 40 bucks in 158 jshp. What is a good price for this caliber. They also have the .22 punch.
My local shop has been pretty good about keepin the .357 below $30 at least.

I don't understand how in Birmingham al we are only getting about half of the most common calibers and typically only 1 or 2 types in said caliber. No 357 or 380 or 40 s&w no 410 no 7.62×39 most of the time. No 30-06 no hunting calibers at all besides 308 or occasionally some 7.62×54r. I mean its pathetic out here but up in Tennessee they got everything. I need to take a VACATION in your hometown and go hog wild.
