Hey I connect an HDMI from TV to the capture card and another HDMI from my PS3 to the capture card and USB Male to male cable from my laptop to the capture card , and the capture card I'm using is with loop
But nothing appeared in the OBS Studio screen instead Rainbow bars and I couldn't fix it anymore
Do I need an HDMI splitter for this or the capture card with loop is enough please help me

Thank you! If you’re using a usb hub don’t! Plug straight into the computer or you’ll have issues for sure
I have my cannon DSLR SX50 HS connected via mini HDMI which connects to my video capture HDMI stick which is connected to my 3.0 in my laptop. I am able to get the rainbow lines and sometimes get the menu of my camera to come up but I can't get my front facing camera to show up. I am so frustrated! Can't figure it out. Please help!

Sorry to hear that it didnt work for you might want to check on your settings on the obs or you might want to check on the hdmi cables and if doesnt work try your capture card to a computer and try screen recording and if it doesnt still work you might have a deffective capture card.

yea doesnt do anything, but its rainbow screen so that must mean something at least. but not enough
@@Infoblitz101 Defective capture cards are rare. This is usually a setting or software problem.

I was getting the No Signal lines too and my issue was that the HDMI splitter I used wasnt allowing the signal to go through. Solution was to unplug my console from the splitter and connect the console directly to the capture card and it worked.

with this fixed, I didn't try this on OBS but the problem showed when I tested it out on Discord, can I use this for meetings as well? it was recognized as an external camera, just not sure the fix will also apply to video conferences

Thank you so much! Apparently I have this really fat cylinder on the HDMI cable, and it was apparently pulling the cable off the switch dock. This really helped out!
This problem only began for me with this recent update I downloaded for OBS. Before that it was fine.
So I tried connecting my Xbox to obs so I can stream game audio. I have 2 hdmi cords, one to the tv and another to the console, both are connected to my capture card. I tried doing what u did in the video and it didn’t work. I have a brand new capture card and hdmi cords so I’m not sure what’s wrong. Is there anything else that could fix it?

My issue is my TV isn't working. When it's connected to the capture card, it looks like it's totally powered off even though it isn't. I have the switch in hdmi port 2, so is it as simple as putting it in hdmi 1 instead?
My laptop isn't getting the lost signal lines, it's running clean. I have to play off the laggy obs visuals if I use it. Any tips on the display screen not working?
Some devices might have compatibility issues regarding on the video captyre card but its normal you just have to check if all cables are connected correctly and no loose ends so that tge signals would be smooth and if ypur video capture card has a power cable you should probably usd it. If your computer is getting laggy vives on the obs while using it it can only be system comaptibility issues or graphic card problems that is making the obs to react on your laptop.

Hello there inorder to capture 4k video you must need your computer to be a high end pc for it to work and the other thing that the max video capture of the video capture card is just 1080 p and you can also use another platform for videi recording try the obs stream labs.
It's actually 1080p through usb. 4k is through HDMI

Hello there thanks for watching the video regarding on your question usually the capture card relay on the device that is connected on and as you said that the os is having problems meaning there is a connection issue with with the your laptops hardware because its not giving enough power to your capture card but try to recheck the connection and try using the capture card to your laptop that is plug in its charger to give a power boost to your capture card or if ever you have another computer you can also check it there if the problem still persist it might be your divice has a factory problem.
my capture card works on my ps2 and not on my xbox one. It worked on my xbox one before but not now cant fix this problem.

Lmao my problem was that I didn’t connect the AC adapter to my Nintendo switch dock 😭 I literally was too focused on the hdmi cables that I didn’t realize I didn’t plug in the AC adapter to the dock. So make sure you plug in EVERYTHING. And now it works. This is how I set mine up. I have a cheap capture card from Amazon. I have two monitors btw, this can work with one but I have two. Basically, I first connect the capture card to my pc through usb 3.0 (blue color), then I connect the hdmi cable from the switch to the input hdmi on the capture card. And that’s it, and make sure the switch is turned on as well. Everything works now and if you have a second monitor, you can right click on the source of the capture card in OBS and go to full screen projector and project it onto your second monitor.

Hello there regarding about your question the video capture card sorry it can only be use in a computer and the hdmi is enough for you to connect with your tv but as you said it doesn't work maybe the laptop or computer has compatibility issues so it cant connect to the tv.

You need a usb 3.0 device for using the hdmi video card . No. Wil tell you this. You must check you phone usb type before buy a capture card. Ipad air 5 , ipad pro , asus rog 5 and samsung's phones S10 and upper models only have usb 3.0 . For iphones you need a AV digital adapter that is very costly !
But what if it keeps happening like mine, it also flickers, and doesn't show me the option.

Sorry to hear that and yes it could also be the USB to USB c because some time there could be incompatibility issues regarding on what console it is being used.

Tty using a thicker cable sometimes when we use thinner cables it produces lesser energy to make the captr3card functional, also try checking the Nintendo Switch adapter if its funtikning properly

Hello there if the problem still persist pls. Check all the cables or the connection to your main game console and also check the compatibility of your computer and its graphics card or the main problem might be the capture card itself.

@@burntwaffle51 yeah it's the type c to multiport adapter. It only works with one port connected at a time. when you connect a soundcard to the usb port the hdmi will lose signal.

Hello there try checking the console itself it might have some connection issues with the cable or it might be a loose connection or try plugging in the cables according the slots given.
