How do you not have any comments ? I enjoy listening to the sound of a diesel engine and the manual trans only made the experience better. Your work is appreciated.
@@danebollenbach4739 yeah she actually has a decent crack towards the passenger side. I have one of the newer LMC dashes that I need to install. It’s just finding the time. Thank you for checking the video out.
This brake has the factory Down pipe exhaust ears on it that takes the same 2 bolts as the factory exhaust would have had. The exhaust brake takes the place of that 45 degree angle piece of pipe on the back of your stock turbo. I have an MBRP 4inch down pipe to a 5inch system. Everything bolted up just fine. It’s not a bad install, it just takes some time to hook up the lines and little air tank and pump. I hope this helps a little.
@@TT-di6qk I think a lot of these guys watch videos of peterbilt drivers pussy footing their big cats which fuel is governed at 2100. So these dodge guys try to mimick the big riggers when they in fact have more rpm. I own a Pete with a cat and I always pull to 1900. I don’t pussy foot. Hp curve is still pulling. Yeah torque cuts off but hp is still pulling. Babying the truck isn’t gonna get you a few more miles on rebuild. Besides that, can’t go through life with that silly mentality. Drive the the thing and put the hammer down
I mean not really. It’s half the size of displacement. It sounds good but a large displacement n14 Cummins sounds worlds different. School busses used the 5.9 pickup motor. So sounds more like schoolbus

Thank you! I appreciate that! I actually uploaded this video twice by accident, my other upload of it does have some comments.
0:04 love the old starter sounds and how the 2nd gen’s started right away most the time
@@Losman666 yeah it’s a glorious sound when they fire up
I love these video and content like this. I don't have a ram but a 2nd through 5th gen with either a 6.7 or 5.9 Cummins is my dream truck.
When taken care of They make for a good rig for sure.
I have a 99 five speed and love every minute of it
They are an absolute awesome machine to drive.
@B B 😂 pretty much!
Love the truck man! I'm on the hunt for an 03 dually with an nv5600. Can't wait to have this song playing everywhere I drive!
Thank you! Yeah it’s an awesome tune for sure! I hope your able to find what you want soon, they’re an awesome rig.
I need one of these on my f800 bucket truck with a 24 valve, would definitely save my brakes stopping that 26,000 pound beast.
Agreed! That would definitely help.
2:08 suprised the dashboard didnt break

@@danebollenbach4739 heck yeah

Thank you.
Did you have to get a special down pipe with the factory exhaust break to straight pipe it or can you get any kit?

Imagine getting stuck behind this guy in traffic
It would suck, not gonna lie. This truck gets babied.

They sound like dang semi
I’m a sucker for the way these older engines sound.
That's the main reason why I want an older Cummins lol

What exhaust brake are you running?
pacbrake.com/product/c44074-prxb-exhaust-brake-kit/
This is the system, Pacbrake. It bolts up right behind the turbo. ( stock size turbos).
That NV5600 is such a pos If my 02 was not rusting away I’d done an Allison conversion
You like what you like..
Can you share the model you are using
2001 Dodge Ram 3500
Not straight piped :/
Your shifts are too short
Well these 4.10 rears push it right along. If I had 3.54’s then I’d definitely push rpm’s closer to 2k before shifts.
