151 is gonna be huge. I don’t think they’ll have issues moving any of these products, but I do feel the binder will only sell when the others are unavailable
How is the quality of the binders? I want to get my friend a pokemon gift box for xmas and the binder would be great for him but if the quality sucks then I won't get one of those
This set literally got me back into Pokémon cards, I’ve played the games for years and just finished my base set collection with cards. And this deff was perfect timing for me
I got back into Pokemon because of the 151 set. I completed all the 151 (even the holos)...as for the chase cards, I have completed the SIR, almost completed the IR and full art chase... except my IR Charmander is Japanese, and my full art Blastoise and Venusaur are also Japanese. I have a few trainer chase cards, including the golden switch, but I am not collecting those. Now, I am trying to build a deck centering around the 151 Charizard.
Late to the party here but a solid video great info here I found the 151 upc box for 90 comes out to about 6.25 per pack … great way of thinking about buying these unless you really just want the small collector item things
I have that binder and it is not a top loading binder. It is indeed side loading. It is just like the charmander ultra pro binder just with the 151 cover. Literally the same thing. Very good quality. Not like top of the line like some ultra pros but it is more then good enough to hold the set. Also the packs actually had pretty decent hits. I pulled the gold mew from it and also the full art zapdos with the bird trio. Also got 2 of the poster boxes just to put both sides up in my 3 year olds sons room and I also got some pretty good hits. Not the best but pulled the full art blastoise from one Box and the full art alakazam from the other. I paid 24 US dollars for the binder and 14.99 for each of the poster packs. I got 3 booster bundles for 25 each and 7 etbs at 49.99 each. And to be honest I got great hits from all of those products. So idk what everyone is talking about with these bad pull rates but that wasn’t the case in any of the products Ive purchased so far. I still have 2 sealed etbs but I’m almost done with the set with just those products I mentioned above. I’m definitely grabbing atleast 4 upc boxes when they are released 2 to open and 2 for my sealed collection. I can’t speak on those since I don’t have them yet. Sorry the post is so long but I believe your miss informed on what your saying. Just so people are aware. Do you even have the binder box yet? If not then you shouldn’t speak on it being a top loading binder because it is not. Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to bash u just trying to inform you that you are wrong about the binder. I'm planning to use the binder to collect all cards from that expansion, I'm planning to get some ETC, booster packs and one binder pack. Repeated copies I'll try to make a deck for fun.
I wish i was able to have offered more pre orders than i could as i was the only ebay seller to be selling 151 pre orders at RRP😢 Also side note, RRP on the upc is 129.99 or thats what my distro had as the RRP anyway lol

I haven’t collected for years and the only things from this set available for relatively reasonable price from reliable vendors are the binder, Zappos EX and the big mew box (which I don’t want to currently spend over 200 dollars on) I thought getting both binder (because I need one if I want to buy some more soon) and Zappos will be nice but your made me unsure

Well this hasn't aged well when it comes to the binder. As I'm sure you know it is side loading and actually quite decent quality. 8 pound per pack? Come on dude they're not just giving you a free binder are they. Call it 5.50 a pack and 10 for the binder. Decent value
To be honest, any TCG shouldnt be considered as an investment but a hobby at this point. Vintage stuff are so expensive compared to the price from 2000s to mid 2010s. COVID exploded the demand and price of TCG market especially Pokemon. Newer TCG product are more mass produced compared to old products (WOTC for Pokemon or Upper Deck for Yugioh) will not reach the same peak value as vintage cards because there are way more supplies and sealed/NM-Mint TCG products . Furthermore now is the time most of people who could not afford TCG back in old days have now the financial means to buy TCG products.
That is only partially true. The number of people interested in pokemon is growing and growing as you need to be adding the new generation that is coming into this. Although there is more supply there is also a lot more demand then in the past. The point here is that it is a long game. People who haven't got into pokemon yet or perhaps kids will in 5-10 years time wish they could've bought these sets. At the same time, the 151 is a really good product as it caters to BOTH the old as well as the new fans. Granted it is not likely to reach the insanity of the first generation (oh boy how I wish I had kept my old cards lol) but it is nevertheless going to appreciate in value all the same although the growth curve might be less steep.

this set is legit sold out everywhere that i live ( a big city ) Targets walls just getting destroyed same goes for walmart got a UPC and ETB a few days early there tho , luckily i have a connection at a sports shop and they did have it only 1 UPC , had to grab it haha, all in all this is an AMAZING product it brought me and father together opening packs like we used too! Thanks Pokemon! ( fav card so far Full art Char and number 1 would be Charmander SIR holo)

So if you want every 151 card including promos you will need to buy all products however if you just want the main set the go for UPC ETB or booster bundles

You've vastly misunderstood the first product of the binder. The binder's retail will be about £10, so the product is £22 for the 4 boosters, which still isn't the best, but the folder itself, if buying for collector's purposes is going to be one of the most desired things, especially when it comes to future collectability once this line is out of print. It's top loading sure, but you're not going to be using it. AND even if you did use it, honestly top loading is totally fine, just get some side or bottom loading sleeves to insert in for a full seal, and store on it's side rather than upright. That'll keep the contents as protected as you'd need them. As a re-collector of Vintage 99 Pokemon cards, you've idea the trouble and expense I've put into acquiring the original WOTC pokemon base set folders and such and finding good condition stuff.

Yeah I think pre production images didn’t show it in the beta light HOWEVER I do think vaultx binders are so much better as the y zip shut

Tins are the only ones I've been pulling chase cards n it's a blessing to spend so little n gain the top tier chase cards.
The UPC may end up being good value depending on how much the MewTwo and two Mew EXs end up costing on the second hand market.
