As much as I love the “If I Laugh a Pokémon Dies” series videos like this one are important. They’re informative about what products are available, you open the stuff and it’s always fun to see good pulls when they happen, and you can see how genuinely excited content creators get about sharing their own experiences. That sort of energy is infectious and makes people want to match that energy.
Two bad he had several mistakes in it. There’s 8 wrong things overall, but most of them are minor; so I’ll list the two most egregious: 1: There’s NINE (9) booster packs in the 151 ETB. How he literally “counts them” and it clearly states it on the back of the box and he doesn’t correct himself is astonishing. No excuse period. That could lead someone to purchase it and think they were ripped off. 2: His video title is technically a lie and he should have EASILY known it. He opened every single product EXCEPT one… the booster bundle. It takes two seconds to look at the page that shows all of the upcoming 151 products. He had to have checked, so I’m not sure how he missed it. At first when I saw it was missing from his initial shots, I just assumed he would say that it was hard to obtain (they are); but nope… he (seemingly) never even knew it! Sad imo, as these are easily rectifiable mistakes. He needs to pay more attention to what he’s telling people. Edit: Pedantic Nitpick - He overly emphasizes the (e) vowel when he says Pokémon. It’s one thing to have to hear people incorrectly call it [Poki-mon] even though it is fairly accepted (around 35% accept it), but thankfully not many people say it in the horrible way that he does. It reminds me of the boomers who would call it “Pokeeemans”, absolutely disgusting, lmao. There’s an accent over the e for a reason. It’s suppose to be “ay” [Po-kay-mon]. With that said however, it can sound pretentious to say it this way everytime so usually it’s reserved sparingly for unique and special occasions like when first announcing something or whatever. Otherwise, the most widely accepted pronunciation is [Poka-mon]. Alright, side rant over!

I'm absolutely loving these tcg videos! Not only do I just love card games, it's showing a new side of Cliffe where he seems to really be in his element. I love his videos anyway, but it's really cool seeing purplecliffe genuinely be really knowledgeable about the video, it's clearly something he loves and that makes the videos so cool
I’m not personally interested in learning the tcg myself, but I would absolutely love to watch more tcg gameplay type videos. I’m just a collector- but I think seeing the perspective on these cards from someone who actually plays the game really helps me see certain cards in a new light. :]
Genuinely think the binder collection is one of the best value product they have done. Binders like that usually go for $15-$20 for plain colored ones. Plus these ones are the dust resistant ones so they're awesome for storing cards and keeping them safe.
I’ve wanted to get into tcg and card collections but I don’t have the money for the trainee boxes. This video shows Jack just having fun opening things and doing something he enjoys which in my opinion is the best way a UA-camr can make content. Love you jack, keep it up
Thank you for making this. It helps a lot as a newer collector to be able to see all the option and think strategically on what product has the most bang for your buck.
This string of TCG videos is starting to get me interested in playing the card game more competitively. I've been a bit of a collector and player over the years but now I want to start playing more.
honestly loving how you give info about the tcg and the deck you want to build and the cards that are frequently played too that you pulled from your packs! as a former tcg player, it's neat to know about the current cards that are played and what are good pulls :)
I love the TCG, but my main issue with it is how quickly they are releasing new sets. There's so many sets released in a year now compared to the past, and I just can't keep up lol. Love the video Purplecliffe!
I honestly love the different style of video you did. It was super nice to get an honest review of every product, especially during this time of year. Thanks Jack! You’re a real one! 💜
There is nothing that I love more than seeing people genuinely enjoying something. Whether it is making music, cooking food, or playing video games, there is just something so raw and humanly beautiful about seeing other people having fun, and in this video you can just feel how excited Plurplecliffe is to be opening those cards. I never thought I would be able to get back into the Pokemon tgc, but after the 'build a deck in 30 min' video, and this one as well, I think it's finally time that I crack open my old binders and take a look at what I've had hidden away for all these years. Jack, thank you so much for reminding me how much I loved this as a kid, and I hope that you continue to make these kinds of videos to keep that spark going, and to all the subscribers in the giveaway, good luck!!
I'm loving the TCG content! I've been playing casually for years, but honestly Jack's passion for the game is so contagious to where I'm seriously considering playing competitively
It’s so cool to see everything you get in these boxes and how they compare to each other. This video will definitely help people who are trying to figure out what they want to buy based on what they want, but also will help those who don’t know much about Pokémon that won’t to buy gifts for the holidays.
I've been watching your videos recently and have been questioning getting into the pokemon tcg. It seems like they put out a lot of product and try to make it affordable. Definitely appreciate this breakdown from someone who's considering the tcg and trying to see what it's like from the outside

This was an amazing video Jack!! Always a lot of fun watching your videos but seeing you open cards was awesome!! 151 is such an amazing set. Hope to see more pack opening videos in the future!! Keep up the great work Jack!!
Jack what I liked most about this video was watching you have so much fun opening up packs and feeling like a kid again. It was also awesome to hear your speak about your reinvigorated love of the Pokemon TCG. Your videos always inspire me to spread my own love for Pokemon, and always give me something to be happy about, even on my hardest days. Please keep making awesome Pokemon videos, no matter if its the games or the TCG. And please never stop being you and bringing a smile to the face of all of those around you!
This was so helpful to see how much you really get. I love the rating system for helping to choose gifts or how to get the most bang for your buck! Thanks Jack!
That first tins MSRP is not 18, is 9.99, but player inflation and scalping made it that way. usually Mini tins are 9.99, Etbs are 49.99, UPC is 119.99, Zapdos is about 23.99, Alakazam is 21.99 roughly, poster collection is 21.99 roughly, binder is 24.99, and the booster bundle *if it still exists* is about 27.99. Unfortunately amazon doesnt keep check of MSRP pricing so things like the booster bundle is almost 20$ more than it should be
Charmander is the best Kanto Starter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pikachu is the 2nd best Kanto Starter!!!!! My first Pokemon Game was Pokemon Yellow Version!!! Anyway, this video was very fun & entertaining. Personally if the price point was a little lower that Poster box (specifically because it gave all the starters) would be something I'd want to buy.
That 30 mins to build a deck video got me into tcg battling and also kind of got me back into the tcg in general, I’ve been having so much fun with the tcg recently, just collecting and building a deck to battle my friend. Huge thanks for getting me back into the tcg!

I'll be honest, I usually don't watch this type of content. However: Jack made it really informative for me as a viewer and to get his opinons on each product was awesome. I would absolutely watch more of this.

A cool thing I did with my upc is I removed the top from it and you’re able to store 4 etbs side by side in the box and it makes for a cool storage box and keeps everything together.
I love this so much! I love watching Jack open packs and his reaction to getting good cards is amazing. We definitely need more videos like this. Wish you luck if you open another to get that Charizard!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻😁

I lost my collection when I was a kid. I was huge on collecting pokemon cards and iv honestly been thinking about getting back into collecting. This video definitely got me excited to get back into pokemon collecting. Sadly I probably won't be able to play the actual card game but I really enjoyed this Cliff. Thank you for sparking my love of pokemon card collecting again 😊
i have never tried Pokémon TCG even as a kid 20+ years ago. Even so just watching everyone around me playing now it brings back the nostalgia. this is a very very good video, Thank you for doing what you do keep it up!
I actually got back into collecting Pokemon cards because of your videos! Watching this really made me want to open some packs of my own, might have to swing by the store to grab some later lol
I never collected actual Pokémon cards, but when I was little there was this thing called the "Shop N Go" which came around like an ice-cream van and you could go in and buy stuff in the van and I always used to buy these Pokémon TV show cards that used to show tons of trivia about the og show. I'm fully sure I still have them all- They were super fun and I have fond memories of opening those up with all this giddy excitement. Makes me want to try getting into Pokémon cards properly, especially with this video and the 30 minute deck building vid
I’m so happy the girl who sits behind me at work is super into Pokemon cards like I am so every day we always chat about pokemon and it’s great. Mew is her favorite, so she’s opened a lot of 151. I really enjoy card openings so these videos re really fun :)
ive been watching you all day while trying to shiny hunt all the legendaries, mythicals, ultra beasts and what not in the pokemon sword and shield dlc today, thanks for the amazing content Jack!!
This was very enjoyable. I'd love to see more videos similar to this when you're able! This and the catch it and buy videos are very fun. It made me nostalgic for the games I would play with my brothers and neighbors and even the school kids who would always cheat me out of good cards. Lmao. Had to sell my collection a couple years ago because of financial stuff, but seeing more content like this makes me want to, perhaps, restart collecting again.
Your deck building battle at the tcg event video is what got me into the tcg for the first time since x and y. Great videos and great vibe. Keep it up man
The video was so fun to watch because it also sort of satisfied my addiction... But you know what would do so even more? That sweet box you're giving away!
As someone who still picks up the occasional YuGi-Oh product and gets a lot of Digimon card game product, these videos you're doing are tempting me so badly to pick up a box....... KEEP DOING IT
As a child just about every kid at my school has Pokémon cards. Whether they are playing, trading or collecting every child should have a Pokémon by their side
Something about cliffe doing videos on Pokémon cards is awesome, also would love to see more competitive vlogs like league challenges or deck building videos.
This video makes me want to get into the TCG, I work from home and don’t really get out of the house so this feels like something that could help me get out! Thanks for all your reviews of each item.
I really liked your 30 minutes to build a deck then battle video. I'd like to see more videos of those as well as more pokemon tcg videos. You really got me back into pokemon tcg!
I’m just starting to get into the Pokémon TCG and would love more TCG videos! I’ve been learning how to play on Pokémon Live and I’m already wanting to build a Lunatone, Solrock, Mewtwo V, Mewtwo Vstar deck. I really like how it plays. Thank you for amazing content Purplecliffe!
The tin is actually amazing here, a pack of cards is 6€ and the tin is 12€, and since i do play competitive I really need those for dice storage. It’s literally like buying 2 packs and you get the tin for free, how is that 18$ there??
I used to play MTG back in the day, and I have always been fascinated by the Pokemon TCG, but I wouldn't be able to go about actually playing with anyone. I love watching people play it and opening packs though!
When purplecliffe said the thing people getting interested in the game from the build a deck videos I was like “omg I literally just spent hours looking at competitive decks because I haven’t played in years and want to play again. I also just spent time looking through I cards I have that are in the competitive deck I chose.” So, yeah you right urplecluff also that’s what I call you now. By the way I chose to make a lost origin deck because Giratina is sick.

Purplecliffe: a 6/10 is good
School: Are you sure about that?
Lmao.
Had to sell my collection a couple years ago because of financial stuff, but seeing more content like this makes me want to, perhaps, restart collecting again.
the charizard your looking for is in obsidian flame Jack
as much as i don’t know how to play the tcg, i really like watching the tcg videos bc i find them very informative and helpful :)
love hearing about your experience with the TCG, would love to see more stuff like this!
Your deck building battle at the tcg event video is what got me into the tcg for the first time since x and y. Great videos and great vibe. Keep it up man
The video was so fun to watch because it also sort of satisfied my addiction... But you know what would do so even more? That sweet box you're giving away!
I still have the 20th anniversary poster i lost some of the cards but i remember that golem art
As someone who still picks up the occasional YuGi-Oh product and gets a lot of Digimon card game product, these videos you're doing are tempting me so badly to pick up a box.......
KEEP DOING IT
I was paying 22 for the collection box and 28 fit the binder collection which worked out good value. 😁
Loved the video, you've been getting me into the pokemon tcg with the pokemon card videos, love your content, keep it up.
As a child just about every kid at my school has Pokémon cards. Whether they are playing, trading or collecting every child should have a Pokémon by their side
151 got me back into Pokémon after 20years! Great video! The UPC is the only product I haven’t gotten yet.
Loved that you showcased all the products and how much they cost. Your happiness with the TCG is evident.
Something about cliffe doing videos on Pokémon cards is awesome, also would love to see more competitive vlogs like league challenges or deck building videos.
the pokemon tcg videos are so fun from you, i love the 1000 pack openings, and you are well, the only one who still does them
This video makes me want to get into the TCG, I work from home and don’t really get out of the house so this feels like something that could help me get out! Thanks for all your reviews of each item.
I really liked your 30 minutes to build a deck then battle video. I'd like to see more videos of those as well as more pokemon tcg videos. You really got me back into pokemon tcg!
I love how he just rounded up the 9 packs from the elite trainer box to 10 xD
I thought the same. I counted them several times just to be sure.
Idk anything about 151 but it does look rlly cool!
I was about to pass out for the night way too early, saw your video, and you instantly kept my full attention waking me up. Good job and great video.
Love that you are doing more tcg content, surprisingly the Pokemon Tcg is one of the biggest collectable hobbies out there!
I need Jack to buy and review every Pokemon product. I’d watch these videos for hours and hours!
“Get into it if you like pokemon”
*I live in Argentina where a pack costs 10000$=10$ dollars*
