Great van! But it looks like l-track for the additional seat is attached to the floor only with some small self tapping screws, which to me is not safe: in case of a crash the seat might rip off. You should use thick bolts.
I'm so glad @craftedworkshop decided to start doing this. I remember commenting he should have a 2nd channel for just this. Solid content creators you both.
Do you have more van tours you are gonna film? If not, but want a DIY full timer mountain bike family version...let me know. We'll be through NC in a few months (in PA/MD now, heading North and East). Would be super awesome to meet you, and give you a tour of the van my wife and I built out. LFRHGS 🤙
That is a very cool van and a great build/design from Johnny. Alex is a little jealous I'm sure. So am I. However, I am positive that is a very expensive build with all the prefab goodies that were added (roof rack, bed, rear door storage, slide outs, etc). Still, very Cool!
Have you thought about putting that central island by the door on heavy duty sliders so you can extend it out the door giving more space inside if you need it?
Love it! Only one question, whats the weight limit on the track the new seat is on? Do we know 100% that the chair won’t rip out of the floor during a front end crash specifically? I love that build!
Lovely build! but the edge over the pillows in the bed...even if you are short, you might move around at night. and at some point you will hit your head against it. Personally I would have opted for a more rounded or chamfered solution. But I am not the user, and if it works for the customer, it works.
Johnny - "I don't like camping" 🤣when he can make the absolute best van builds. Amazing craftsmanship!
Well living in a van isn't really camping so it's quite fitting
I imagine Johnny's approach being "I wanna make this as close to a house as I can"

Who doesn't love a good woodworkers van build!
As a cabinet maker, this is really cool. The visual simplicity is clean, but you can tell how much work has gone into it.

Awesomeness overload Alex!
this is actually nicer than my current flat :l

Rad build - hope they enjoy it!
Really awesome to see how a woodworker builds a van. Lots learned! Electrical however, is a another story ; /
Now that johnny learned some new things about building vans you should have him use his new van building skills to upgrade your van a bit

That passanger track does not look safe, i hope they bolted through subfloor and reneforced with plate underneath vehicle.
Excellent...

I love that build!
Every time I see a bike drawer I start thinking about if I could put one in my Rav4.
As long as your axle to bar height is short enough

Dam I want him to build my van
garate show fellaz 👏🏼
Bed belts? 😂 For the third and fourth passengers... 😊
😂 that's one idea
So cool! I Need one of this a little big bigger in Hungary! Can you build and ship international?
Maybe I missed it, but what are those death plates hanging above the bed? That will cause a lot of damage to the noggin.
Any thoughts on helmet storage? :)
Man if only someone made the perfect little helmet holder... 🤔
All I can say is WOW 👌 I would love to know what the gross weight of the van is now and the total cost💰💰💰!
Almost 600k
that hair tho bro.... voluminous.
Where do you get the L-track bikemount?
What are those aluminum things mounted above the pillows on the ceiling?
Aspen frontier duffel bag holders
is that van 4x4 or awd or 2wd?
Are those radiant heaters on the ceiling above the bed??
Aspen frontier duffel bag holders
How much amp hour do you have?
There are 2x 270Ah 12V Lithium batteries in this build, so 540Ah @ 12V.
I’m gonna guesstimate this is probably $150,000 bill, including the 50 grand for the van
