Tug, do what you need to do for your channel, for many people like myself, us old timers understand that this is the way of life. We got 3 flounder over 25 to 32 in and many more that are league in the bay. We rolled 2 large fillets with crab meat and spice's in the oven at 350 for 50 min's and it was the best thing since slice bread. So Tug keep on doing of what you feel is best . Tug, keep the vids coming just like you are doing. For those who are learning to gig at night (me included) doing it from a 25 foot center console powered by a trolling motor, is a challenge. Tug (i think) uses a 10-14 foot with shallow draft and uses the gig to pole across 1-2 foot of water. Also, I'm on the Gulf Coast fishing the estuaries...flounder are small inside but hopefully I'll find keepers eventually. Anyone one have experience gigging in Tampa area?

If Crystal loves that corn with the bacon, she should try pan fried milk corn. Cast iron pan preferred, but not necessary, frozen corn (bicolored if you can find it), sugar, salt, and milk or half and half. This cooks over a low-medium heat so you don’t scorch the milk. The longer it cooks that softer the corn and the sugar helps sweeten it while a pinch of salt balances everything out. It’s one of my hubby’s favorite sides! And I have subbed in rendered bacon grease for the butter. Even better! Thanks for the video and recipe!❤

I don't begrudge you about getting some extra chingching in the pocket. Did that a little back when, helped out on a charter boat for when city slickers wanted to go deep sea drinking... i mean fishing.
Customers drank and snacked on things till they learned rocking boats, greasy food and alcohol don't mix well. So they'd lay down, leaving myself, and the other hand and skipper would all trade off driving the boat or catching. At the time it was one of those big sport fishers you'll probably see in the south Florida Bahamas areas. A nice 40+ footer boat. Couches converted to beds for sick customers that didn't want to go back to land and "waste" the trip. The same trip they'd drop four to five figures on but spent the whole time horizontal or side hanging and groaning.
Catch things, go back let them clean up a bit, snap pictures of fish they didn't catch but claim they could to other folks back home. Many would get filets frozen snd overnighted back home. They were happy, we got some really good fish and paid for it too.
