Can we get something straight? If a couple is 20yr-17 yr old, unless there's some actual shady actions on the part of the older one, there's no grooming or child abuse or every other horrible thing social media tend to project on this. It's not the same as some mid-twenty mid-thirty is prying on some child. That power imbalance can happen in same-age couples as well. I am really glad conversations are happening publicly regarding child abuse, grooming, and power imbalance in relationships due to various reasons. But this social media virtue signalling of attacking perfectly fine relationships under the woke pretense of 'problematic', it's just disengaging people from the actual complications and horrors of the problems at hand. And it's not consistent either. If we are tempted to label a 20yr old dating a 17yr old a groomer, we should be able to acknowledge the maturity difference between 12-13yr and, say, 19-20 yr. 18 is the age of adulthood in a huge number of countries. And then there's cultural differences which plays into the social-emotional maturity as well. Hence there'll be significant maturity difference between even two 18yr old from different backgrounds. There's a reason why child marriages are so difficult to just get rid of with a law, and takes so much awareness and community participation for years. And by child marriage I mean real ones, not Tom Cruise marrying Katie Holmes or if Leonardo marries his below-26 gf someday. All these complications are flattened with one 'problematic' label which embodies 'controlling' to 'toxic'(another fun label) to 'grooming' to basically anything straight up legally criminal at the same time, and hence takes away any chance of engagement with the real problems.
I definitely agree with this pics, what a great top this was. Thank you, Jen, and a happy friday afternoon to you as well. Take care and God bless you, and greetings from Colombia.
What about Hollywood golden age actors, actresses, musicians, etc…? Like, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow, Cary Grant and Dian Cannon, and so on… Plus, don’t even get me started on the relationships of older men/ much younger women of the modern era- Kevin Costner Dennis Quaid Jeff Goldblum John Stamos Bob Saget (Rest in Peace) Eddie Murphy Kelsey Grammer Alec Baldwin Harrison Ford Michael Douglas Steve Martin David Foster Mel Gibson (🤮) All these men married someone 15+ years younger than their spouse. It’s like out with their older spouse, in with their hotter, younger spouse. What‘s the point? These guys all then went on to have children with these younger women. The spouse that was dumped is now left to raise the first set of children alone. My heart goes out to the ex-wives… yeah, they got a big divorce settlement most likely, but the emotional and mental betrayal is heartbreaking.
finally someone with common sense! people are against single mothers and widowed mothers and keep preaching "every child needs a father!" meanwhile they frequently romanticize these male celebrities having children with women already young enough to be their daughters and then they brush it off with the argument that those women were "of age" when they met those male celebrities you've listed in your comment this is a clear sign that people are delusional and act like they are being open minded and progressive when they are just being insane!
glad that you mentioned Jeff Goldblum as one of the examples since he used to be in a relationship with Geena Davis who was only 3 years younger than him from 1987 to 1991 then in 2014 he married a dancer and retired Olympics gymnast named Emilie Livingston and a lot of his delusional fans are defending it same thing with Patrick Stewart who has the audacity to call himself a "feminist" and an anti-domestic violence supporter even though in 2013 he married jazz singer Sunny Ozell who is 38 YEARS his junior and people were defending it by making excuses like "they are happy together! mind your own business!" or "respect their privacy!" which is shallow minded!
Not necessarily. Many of those marriages are shams. Perfect example: Melania and Donald Trump. She's doing it for the money and he's doing it to look like a family man
What's the problem with age gaps? There should only be concern when someone is underage. Damn creepy for 15 year old to be in a relationship with someone who's 30! 🤢🤮
acting like it should somehow only be a concern if someone is "underaged" is a double standard either you're against both or you're not there's no in between and you're saying that it's creepy for a 15 year old to be dating a 30 year old stop being a hypocrite!
To me, ten years isn't really that much of an age difference. I know of two others: Mira Sorvino is fourteen years older than her husband, Chrisopher Backus. Ellen DeGeneres is fifteen years older than her partner, Portia de Rossi.
@@DaydreamingPsychologist stop with the narrative of "the older you get the less the age matters" it will always matter stop limiting this to just "underaged" people age gap relationships are a small step towards pedophilia!
@@fatimahanwaar306 you clearly don’t understand the point. It matters less the older you get. Not saying it doesn’t matter at all. The problem is adults wanting to be with minors.

What do they mean ashton rekindled his romance with mila he never had a romance with mila before getting with demi stop making up these stories to support your narrative like seriously its so bloody innacurate
I say as long as they are adults they can be with whoever they want no matter what age. Many of my favorite celebrity crushes are 15 to 20 years older than me. If I found an older man that I would fall in love with I really wouldn't care how old he is (or how young of an adult). Love is love.
It is an issue if there is grooming involved or abuse. If the marriage works, let them be. The bad thing is if it doesn't work. And mostly women that marry older man do that due to his wealth and power. The issue also is that if she marries somebody older, the probability of being a widow like Celine Dion for example, are much higher. Leonardo Dicaprio's case on the other hand is not normal and he needs some serios help.
Pfft, I'm sure Leo is more than happy with his life of using and discarding supermodels. I'm only amazed that any hot actor ever settles down when the playboy lifestyle is just right there...
The most baffling thing is people judging not only age gaps, but such SMALL age gaps. Like 11 years 😂 that’s May seem huge when someone is 25 VS 36, but we see older couples who are 62 VS 73 🤷🏻♀️
At least Priscilla and Elvis didn't start dating until a few years after they met, though since they were ten years apart, they were at different stages of life and emotional development.
If the younger partner is past the age of like 25, I'm kinda like do you... But a lot of age gap relationships have an obvious power imbalance (the taylor-johnsons, the presleys, etc)... Your brain doesn't stop developing till mid to late 20s...
How did Jerry Lee Lewis marrying his 13 year-old cousin not make this list?!?! Even back in the 1950s that relationship/marriage caused intense backlash. I think this list needs a re-do.
It's really none of our business who other people date, as long as they're both adults and there's no signs of abuse or manipulation. Even then, strangers online don't need to throw around so much hate.
and Florence Pugh defending her (now-former) relationship with him and dismissing any concern and criticism her fans had about it as "harassment" the media views this as "female empowerment" when it's the exact opposite of it!
people view Florence Pugh as a "feminist icon" just because she wore a pink dress with a see-through top as a way to support the "Free the Nipple" movement during a fashion show and send a message about women's bodies being destigmatized by society but her defending her (now former) relationship with Zach Braff with excuses that she's "allowed" to date "whoever" she wants and was crying over how fans were "happy" that she broke up with him during her interview on Harper's Bazaar is the prime example of hypocrisy and is the OPPOSITE of "female empowerment" people who make pointless and illogical arguments to defend this are delusional!
Sorry yall Rant coming...please read till end...What a lot of "concerned fans" don't understand is a lot of times (not all the time of course) when an older person is dating a younger person its because the younger person makes the other feel young and alive again. Especially when they are constantly in the spotlight all the time..they start to feel older from the stress and responsibility of it all. If the person is a minor when they start dating that's completely different. But if they are both consenting adults we should stay out of their business. It goes for non celebrity adults as well. We live in an age now where grooming and consent are blasted everywhere. I remember the surprise kiss at the end of a date and how excited i felt about it. The 'will he wont he' suspence. It gave me a thrill. Now if that happens so many people scream "there was no consent, he didn't ask you, that's assault." Not realizing that kiss was the norm. Most females loved the surprise of it and would not pull away IF they were into that person. Its gotten to a point where guys are afraid to hold a girls hand when walking because of this. My 15yo daughters bf (also 15) was afraid to sit too close to her without permission, much less hold her hand or anything else. She came and asked if it was her and if he didn't like her because he wouldn't hold her hand. My husband sat him down and apparently his 16yo cousin told him he cant do anything with a girl without asking permission because then its assault and he can go to jail. My husband (who had already been told what to say by our daughter, it was a man to man convo she said 🤣) told him she will tell him personally if she is not ok with something or not comfortable with it. If she says no or i don't want to that's the end of it. He's no longer a nervous wreck and they are happy. Y'all he wouldn't even push her on the swing at the park because "if you touch her body at all, with out her saying 'you can touch me' its assault". That is the age we are in now. If you read this far sorry for the rant but my point is if they are consenting adults let them be. If it is a case of grooming we are NEVER going to be able to convince them, they have to see it or realize it for themselves. We just have to stand back and support them when that happens. If its underage then cops need to be involved.
at least people are being against Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro's relationships with younger women which is a sign of having common sense let's also criticize couples like Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas and many more
As long as its legal I do not have a problem with anyone dating anyone else age is just a number as long as consent is there and they are of legal age. BTW Marcon has to be on this list he is married to his teacher granted they become a couple after he left school. Also all that being said I guess anything twenty or more is a bit too much
I am six years older than my husband befire we married it all this 👻 stuff is he useing me to stay in the country does have a wife in india . It like come on. Does he care about me. Were people like this when my parents got married
so as long as the age gap is less than 5 years and the man is the older one, it's fine? As long as their both consenting adults and there's not a 20+ age gap where the younger one just turned 18 or something, I don't see why it's anybody else's business.... a lot of these were "bad" because the woman was older...there's couples out there where they have the same age gap, but the man is older, which I guess according to society is okay
Other issue is when one dates/marries so they can become famous or infamous? Alec Baldwin's lying wife. Mrs Bieber (popularity increased after) Amber Turd.... hope she stays gone Didn't stoddart start dating someone a decade older after?
when a woman in her 40s dates a man in her 20's it's like "you go girl!" but when a man in his 40's dates a woman in her 20's the SAME PEOPLE cry "cradle robber!". I see a disconnect (PS I prefer dating a womanclose to my own age)
PS I am 64 years old. women my age have idolized Madonna for like 40 years so they want to be like the 65 year old singer who regularly dates guys 30+ years younger.
both age gap relationships are wrong if people are going to be against female celebrities (Madonna Cher etc.) being in relationships with men half their age they should also be against male celebrities being in relationships with women half their age!
Age gaps are not really a problem, is normal peoples there a lot of people with age difference and when you taking about 10 years and thats so much, the only thing is everbody had to right age, so no kids age( 18+ or higher and right mental stage) but got Harry…Olivia Wild sexiest women for me😍

if you think they "look so perfect together" you need to seek help stop defending their relationship and dismissing their 25 year age gap just because they share the same birthday it also renders Catherine Zeta-Jones' "support" for the MeToo movement as a sign of hypocrisy since she's contributing to her own misogyny by marrying a man old enough to be her father which is also setting back feminism grow up and educate yourself!
no honorable mention between Jerry Lee Lewis and his 13 year old bride?
Like, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart,
Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow, Cary Grant and Dian Cannon, and so on…
Plus, don’t even get me started on the relationships of older men/ much younger women of the modern era-
Kevin Costner
Dennis Quaid
Jeff Goldblum
John Stamos
Bob Saget (Rest in Peace)
Eddie Murphy
Kelsey Grammer
Alec Baldwin
Harrison Ford
Michael Douglas
Steve Martin
David Foster
Mel Gibson (🤮)
All these men married someone 15+ years younger than their spouse.
As long as both are consenting adults, who cares about the gap.
True that. I’ve been there.
imagine being so "open minded" that your brains fall out
Not necessarily. Many of those marriages are shams. Perfect example: Melania and Donald Trump. She's doing it for the money and he's doing it to look like a family man
@@lemnlime66 exactly!
I know of two others:
Mira Sorvino is fourteen years older than her husband, Chrisopher Backus.
Ellen DeGeneres is fifteen years older than her partner, Portia de Rossi.
Ryan Reynolds is 11 years older than Blake Lively.
@@COMPFUNK2 Jay Z is 12 years older than Beyonce 😮
The point is not the age difference, is when one part is underage. The older you get the less age matters
Honorable mention: R.Kelly and Aaliyah's secret marriage when he was 27 and she was 15
Jerry Seinfeld and that Sasha lady should have at least been mentioned.
Ikr. That was weird as hell. Today, he'd be canceled .
@@rachelmartin5187 exactly! same thing with other celebrity couples like Florence Pugh and Zach Braff even after their breakup Florence acted like she was somehow "forced" to do so during an interview with Harper's Bazaar and how upset she got when people were rightfully "celebrating" it
What do they mean ashton rekindled his romance with mila he never had a romance with mila before getting with demi stop making up these stories to support your narrative like seriously its so bloody innacurate
Age gaps don’t matter. My husband is 22 years older than I am. The only time it matters is when one of them is under age.
stop limiting this to just "underaged" people nothing is good about age gaps no matter what!
I say as long as they are adults they can be with whoever they want no matter what age. Many of my favorite celebrity crushes are 15 to 20 years older than me. If I found an older man that I would fall in love with I really wouldn't care how old he is (or how young of an adult). Love is love.
As long as they are happy together, then that's all that matters. Thank you friends 😊
Not to mention that Celine Dion was groomed by Rene Angelil since she first met him when she was 12 years old and he was 38 years old.
Pfft, I'm sure Leo is more than happy with his life of using and discarding supermodels. I'm only amazed that any hot actor ever settles down when the playboy lifestyle is just right there...
acting like "there's no grooming or abused involved" shows how uneducated you are their marriages never work in any way shape or form
The most baffling thing is people judging not only age gaps, but such SMALL age gaps. Like 11 years 😂 that’s May seem huge when someone is 25 VS 36, but we see older couples who are 62 VS 73 🤷🏻♀️
Michael Douglas and Catherine-Zeta Jones, and don't forget Jerry Lee Lewis and his 13-year-old cousin!
both relationships are wrong
Surprised Anna Nicole Smith isn’t on this list 🧐
At least Priscilla and Elvis didn't start dating until a few years after they met, though since they were ten years apart, they were at different stages of life and emotional development.
that’s called grooming…
That's what you want to believe.
I personally thought the age between Elvis and Priscilla was bigger
Where's Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama?
Honorable mention: "Great Balls Of Fire" Jerry Lee Lewis marrying his 13 year old second cousin
I think it was more confusing because Angelina Jolie is beautiful and Billy Bob Thornton is not.
RKelly and Aaliyah
It's really none of our business who other people date, as long as they're both adults and there's no signs of abuse or manipulation. Even then, strangers online don't need to throw around so much hate.
I don't think that it's any of the public's business who celebrities date and marry.
Where is charlie chaplin and oona o neil
The underage girls in these stories should raise some concern not to sugar coat the reality😮😮😮😮
Katie Holmes was just one of Tom's beards. He needs to leave the cult & the closet, the poor guy would be so much happier & free.
Angelili? 😂
I was looking for this comment 😅
I thought madonna would of been there
Zach Braff is a repeat offender he dated Mandy Moore too and she was much younger than him.
and Florence Pugh defending her (now-former) relationship with him and dismissing any concern and criticism her fans had about it as "harassment" the media views this as "female empowerment" when it's the exact opposite of it!
people view Florence Pugh as a "feminist icon" just because she wore a pink dress with a see-through top as a way to support the "Free the Nipple" movement during a fashion show and send a message about women's bodies being destigmatized by society but her defending her (now former) relationship with Zach Braff with excuses that she's "allowed" to date "whoever" she wants and was crying over how fans were "happy" that she broke up with him during her interview on Harper's Bazaar is the prime example of hypocrisy and is the OPPOSITE of "female empowerment" people who make pointless and illogical arguments to defend this are delusional!
woody allen is the biggest offender on this list! screw roman polanski! woody allen belongs in prison!
So Sam or whatever her name is groomed Aaron. He was going over to her house alone. That’s WEIRD
What about Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro? Gross.
at least people are being against Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro's relationships with younger women which is a sign of having common sense let's also criticize couples like Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas and many more
As long as its legal I do not have a problem with anyone dating anyone else age is just a number as long as consent is there and they are of legal age. BTW Marcon has to be on this list he is married to his teacher granted they become a couple after he left school. Also all that being said I guess anything twenty or more is a bit too much
Harry & Louis should've stayed together.
What about Chris Evans and Alba Baptista?
the "backlash" surrounding them was justified!
Chris Evans ruined his own reputation
Jerry-Lee Lewis and his COUSIN who was 13?????????? Pretty sure that sure as shit gross on both accounts.
Prince & Mayte Garcia have 15 years age gap 💜💜💜💜💜
using heart emojis shows how delusional you are
Mary-Kate Olsen and the old guy she married. Ummm Hugh Hefner and most of his girlfriends especially the girls next door girls
true! those relationships are and will always be inappropriate no matter how many times people would make excuses to defend them!
AGE GAPS DON’T MATTER. What matters is the love that the couple shares
What do u mean u can't have a 16 and a 24 year old lmao
As long as they are adults then it won't matter. But one of them was a child while the other was an adult, then yes it matters.
Yeah it kinda does!
@@ShadyRK9no it really doesn’t matter! I get hate for stating things I believe it. It sucks coming from people like you who are so ignorant
ok groomer
Mrs Bieber (popularity increased after)
Amber Turd.... hope she stays gone
Didn't stoddart start dating someone a decade older after?
Hugh Hefner and all of his girlfriends
Liz Gillies and her husband
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song
Yes, watching Girls next door was like watching a train wreck. You just couldn't look away, it was so horrifying
Al Pacino and his younger woman is weird lol 😂 she made a baby and then left
For most of the list, the problem is not the age gap. The problem is the age of one of them. Or the unbalance in power.
this pathetic excuse of "it's not about the age gap but the age of one of them" is meaningless and illogical
when a woman in her 40s dates a man in her 20's it's like "you go girl!" but when a man in his 40's dates a woman in her 20's the SAME PEOPLE cry "cradle robber!".
I have always dated men at least 10 years older than me if not more. They're more mature and know what they're doing
❤❤
i like when people like my comments thank you
it's not none of our bussines they are adults , age is just a number
stop being delusional! if "age is just a number" then jail is just a room! just because "they are adults" it doesn't mean anything!
If both parties are consenting adults then who cares. My hubby is 17 years older than me but we work. Though we ment when i was in my 30s
stop being delusional
Madonna/Cher and every guy THEY date.
Age gaps are not really a problem, is normal peoples there a lot of people with age difference and when you taking about 10 years and thats so much, the only thing is everbody had to right age, so no kids age( 18+ or higher and right mental stage) but got Harry…Olivia Wild sexiest women for me😍
Harry & Olivia were never a couple 😂
What about polygamy cults - 70yrs marrying 18 year olds

Harry always likes older women 🤷🏾♀️
Tom Cruise is so yuck to me. Definitely a lot going on with him that isn't right.
