  • Certainly! Here are some important safety instructions for driving:
    1. Buckle Up: Always wear your seatbelt and ensure that all passengers do the same.
    2. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like texting, and stay focused on the road.
    3. Obey Speed Limits: Adhere to posted speed limits and adjust your speed for road conditions.
    4. Maintain a Safe Following Distance: Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you to allow for sudden stops.
    5. Use Turn Signals: Signal your intentions when changing lanes or making turns.
    6. Observe Traffic Signs and Signals: Follow traffic signals and obey road signs.
    7. Don't Drink and Drive: Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    8. Check Your Blind Spots: Use your mirrors and turn your head to check blind spots when changing lanes.
    9. Stay within Your Lane: Maintain your lane discipline and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.
    10. Be Mindful of Weather Conditions: Adjust your driving to suit the weather, whether it's rain, snow, or fog.
    11. Give Way to Pedestrians: Yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
    12. Use Your Horn Sparingly: Honk your horn only to alert other drivers of your presence, not as a form of frustration.
    13. Avoid Aggressive Driving: Stay calm and patient, and avoid road rage.
    14. Regular Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained with working brakes, lights, and tires.
    15. Stay Informed About Road Conditions: Be aware of road closures, accidents, or construction on your route.
    16. Use Hands-Free Devices: If you need to use your phone, use a hands-free device to minimize distractions.
    17. Be Courteous: Show respect and courtesy to other drivers on the road.
    18. Plan Your Route: Know your route in advance and have a backup plan in case of unexpected detours.
Remember, safe driving not only protects you but also the people around you. Always prioritize safety on the road.

5:09 This driver had just exited the Amazon facility behind them, located at 1113 Airport Rd, Wilmington, OH. I showed up just an hour later when they were trying to remove him. That fence is still broken. I don't remember exactly when, but between 2022 and now. I had no idea dashcam footage existed of this.

I was a trucker and im not shocked. Youre only surprised if you arent paying attention to those around you. I make it clear to anyone i care about not to trust truckers either, and my wife saw that 1st hand riding with me. We were nearly hit multiple times by other truckers. You dont know whos on their phone, drunk, high, just dgaf, dont understand english etc, but theres far too many on the road driving like that. Seems like half of the truckers out there are dangerous and about 90% of the motorists. I trust truckers more, but at the end of the day i trust no one out there on the road. You can do everything legal and right and have great defensive driving and it still not be enough. I did get hit twice, once by a trucker and once by a Charger at over 100mph. Cleared on both wrecks as non preventable not at fault especially since i had dash cam evidence. Quit last year before some moron succeeded on taking me out and moved to the country away from people. Hardly anyone respects the road or the machines we operate. Many claim to, but what ive seen out there on the road determines that is a lie.

Not ALL of these are the truckers fault. Way too many are, but multiple are the fault of other drivers. The first one for example looks like a blatant insurance ripoff attempt. Change lanes (for no obvious reason) into the lane of the truck and going way too slow for an interstate.

Don't forget your getting a camera view that's as high and as forward as can be to get the best view. If your a car right next to a truck the only thing a driver can see of you if he's lucky is part of your roof of your car. Truckers get cut off all the time by people that think the trucker even saw them but in fact the trucker never did. Keep that in mind the next time your next to a truck

Statistically, 85% of accidents involving trucks are the fault of car drivers. You only hear about the 15% on the news. All 3 of my accidents were caused by car drivers. One guy tried to pass behind me as I'm backing to a warehouse door. The woman merging never looked in her mirror (have that one on dashcam) and then panic stopped when she realized I was there. The last guy was drunk and rear-ended me while I was waiting for a left turn signal. This at 10am on a Sunday morning, the fucknut was still in his pajamas when he totaled his land yacht.

The reason why so many videos are showing you blindside hits due to lane changes by truck drivers (even with the fender mounted mirrors) is that many "truck drivers" insist on having their air ride drivers seat all the way down on the floor! This of course make the use of those fender mirrors impossible, as they can no longer be used to see cars in their blind spot because the driver cant even see over the dashboard.

    • @peterrussell3470
      @peterrussell3470 13 днів тому +1

Yes, there is. That reason is because FMCSA requires trucks to be electronically limited to 65 mph. This, contrary to their claims of making the roads safer, makes it more dangerous overall. I have driven trucks before. And driving my car down freeways can get plain scary around trucks, because, with their max speed being anywhere from 10 to 15 mph below the speed limit, you roll up on the quick.

I think people are just getting dumber, because I don’t remember people driving as stupid as they do today when I first got my L back in the early 2000s, at least not to the extent I see on the road these days. a lot of people these days let their ego outweigh their intelligence.

You don’t have a clue what it takes for a big truck to move over when someone is drifting into their lane….take a closer look and you’ll see that not many are at fault…..did you know there is a complete blind spot where they lose sight of you and you should never hang in there when passing do it and get on the road….my other half drove truck for 35 years and I went with him a lot….there is no room for distraction but there will always be someone doing just that….accidents is not the driving force for companies going out of business ….look at the other side of that coin and you will understand what is going on with companies…

So many defenders of truck drivers here. Yes, absolutely, there are many instances where bad pov drivers do stupid things and earn stupid prizes. But several of these were from truckers not checking our notorious blind spots before changing lanes. There is a reason those fender mirrors exist. Seriously, if you didn't notice a pov slowly passing you in the lane to your right or if you forgot they were there then you shouldn't be driving an 80,000 lbs. truck in the first place. Drop your speed a few mph before making that lane change to let any unseen pov pass harmlessly out of your way. I promise it won't hurt your time. And continuing to drive at twice the speed of traffic while splitting lanes is just begging fate to let you unalive someone. Because you know, you KNOW some impatient driver is going to pull out in front of you and you won't be able to stop. I can't count the number of times I've been in this exact scenario but avoided an accident because I slowed down. Reducing speed and anticipating other driver's mistakes when driving through tight traffic would have prevented a lot of these accidents as well. No excuse for hitting a stationary object on the side of the road, none. You are in command of your rig and it is your responsibility to traverse from point A to point B as safely as possible. A cow in the middle of a dark highway at night is just bad luck. Nothing you can do about that except take it on the chin. I've hit six deer with only minor damage...luck was on my side. We ALL need to take our driving seriously. Inattentive driving these days has gotten ridiculous, especially with the cell phones. Well enough of my ranting...drive safe.

Regional truck driver here …… definitely agree with you. Most of the clips were truck drivers not keeping good distance and driving too fast. Or drivers just failing to maintain control of their rig
