  • Certainly! Here are some important safety instructions for driving:
    1. Buckle Up: Always wear your seatbelt and ensure that all passengers do the same.
    2. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like texting, and stay focused on the road.
    3. Obey Speed Limits: Adhere to posted speed limits and adjust your speed for road conditions.
    4. Maintain a Safe Following Distance: Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you to allow for sudden stops.
    5. Use Turn Signals: Signal your intentions when changing lanes or making turns.
    6. Observe Traffic Signs and Signals: Follow traffic signals and obey road signs.
    7. Don't Drink and Drive: Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    8. Check Your Blind Spots: Use your mirrors and turn your head to check blind spots when changing lanes.
    9. Stay within Your Lane: Maintain your lane discipline and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.
    10. Be Mindful of Weather Conditions: Adjust your driving to suit the weather, whether it's rain, snow, or fog.
    11. Give Way to Pedestrians: Yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
    12. Use Your Horn Sparingly: Honk your horn only to alert other drivers of your presence, not as a form of frustration.
    13. Avoid Aggressive Driving: Stay calm and patient, and avoid road rage.
    14. Regular Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained with working brakes, lights, and tires.
    15. Stay Informed About Road Conditions: Be aware of road closures, accidents, or construction on your route.
    16. Use Hands-Free Devices: If you need to use your phone, use a hands-free device to minimize distractions.
    17. Be Courteous: Show respect and courtesy to other drivers on the road.
    18. Plan Your Route: Know your route in advance and have a backup plan in case of unexpected detours.
Remember, safe driving not only protects you but also the people around you. Always prioritize safety on the road.

But most axedents happen because of speed..

And drive to weather and conditions..
      Slow and Steady still works..

The one at :35, is a few minutes to go to the next exit, or even a crossover to carefully make an illegal turn that important to risk yours and any passengers lives? There should be serious charges for people who do that.
3:03 the driver must have figured if he got enough speed they'd make it through Ok or something.. lol
4:10 one word for that one. HOW?? Lol

People need to remember that truckers can’t stop on a dime. Then need more time then a car to stop because of weight. And length of vehicle that’s why you don’t cut them off. Don’t be stupid. It’s a freaking highway. They’re doing 6570 and you come off the offramp and you cut them off. Don’t be an asshole. My brother is a truck driver. My uncle was a truck driver for 40 years cell phones you’re talking you don’t pay a damn attention.

I’ve fallen asleep 2times while driving.
The first was in 1983. I was driving my dad’s 83 Toyota 4WD pickup reg cab long bed, 4cyl, 5spd. My dad was in the back sleeping. The truck had a cap on the bed and my dad had made a shelf over the wheel wells so anyone could sleep in the bed using the full width and length of the bed.
I was heading north on highway 97 just south of Bend, Oregon.
We were going to stop in Bend, get a bite to eat, some coffee and switch drivers and continue on.
They were doing road construction on the side of the highway.
I fell asleep and drifted into the oncoming lane.
A Semi truck was heading south towards Weed, CA.
I wasn’t fully asleep but I was more asleep than awake.
The trucker began to flash his lights at me, but it didn’t make sense to me. Then I could hear his horn.
At the last moment I realized that we were going to be in a head on crash.
I cut the steering wheel hard to the right and ended up hitting the mougals on the right side of the road.
That Toyota bounced violently. I glanced in my rear view mirror only to see my dads body hitting the top of the cap and the on the shelf.
I got the truck back onto the road and my dad opened up the sliding rear window to the cap and the cab and yelled, “What the hell was that?”
Without missing a beat, all I said was, “Road construction”.
He went back to sleep until I pulled into the Kopper Kettle in Bend, OR.
I was wide awake after that, but went to sleep quickly in the bed of the truck.
I never told my dad the truth, but did tell my mom and she cracked up laughing.
