I recently bought the gray SCX24 C10 and I'm so blown away by how far RC technology has come in 15-20 years! I had a few Radio Shack RCs when I was a kid (20 years ago) and the trucks always had massive battery packs that took 4-6 hours to charge and would get you about 15 minutes of play time, and it blew my mind when it only took about an hour to charge my SCX24 battery and then I got about an hour of crawlin out of it! I have done some upgrades I bought the exact same Injora beadlocks with their brand of super swampers and the tires were way too big so I ordered Injora Mickey Thompson Baja mtz tire and they fit better but I still had to trim my front fenders and I also bought licensed Super Swamper Boggers from RC4wd and they are just as good as the Baja MTZ and I put the RC4wd boggers on some different beadlocks that only had 4 screws that hold the wheel together as opposed to the Injora wheels with 16 screws, overall I'm really pleased with the quality and customizability of the SCX24 and all the upgrades/accessories are pretty affordable. I also bought a bumper and was surprised that it was actually metal and the clevis's that came with it were metal too! The only thing I'd say is a must have for an SCX24 other than wheel weights is the 4 piece screwdriver set with 0.05", 1.3mm, 1.5mm, and 4mm box/socket
I have an SCX24 Deadbolt. I started with brass wheel weights and diff covers. It performed reasonably well, but would still not crawl a 45% grade boulder in my neighborhood. When I added those Injora beadlock wheels and tires, it scooted straight up the incline. It also routinely slays our indoor stuffed animal course, boot crossing and tire piles with ease!
Just bought my C10 and upgraded wheels, tires, diff covers, steering knuckles, steering link and servo, and extended drive axles right out of the box. I'm loving it so far. Thanks for the great video!

With the Y-Link that comes with some of the metal kits I have had to dremel out some of the material because it was causing a binding with the front driveshaft. If you look you'll see rub marks on either the driveshaft or that y-link. Some of the kits have an offset but some don't.
I have the red deadbolt. Only thing I've changed so far is tires wheels shocks and added wheel weights along with extended axles. A little weight goes a long way on these. Next upgrade will be the steering servo then new motor and esc. Haven't seen a lot of motor/esc options but furitek is probably what I'll go with. Oh and I also need high clearance links.

How about 3d printed pegs and mounting brackets for body. Extensions for the c10 shell to mount to frame. If there is a wat lift the shell from the frame because the shocks lift the frame so if you lift the shell from the frame should have tire clearance. Just curious.
The issue with upgrading these Scx24s is that as soon as you add some weight you have to replace the motor or it's not gonna last very long at all.
