Happy New Year my #faMELy! This is the first time I've ever done one of these videos but I've had quite a lot of requests to explain my thought processes over the bags I have sold. I go through WHY I sold each, any LEARNINGS and also if i have REGRETTED selling them. If you do own any of these bags pls do not take offence, this video is supposed to explain why they didn't work for me personally. If you love it, you rock it! I hope you find it useful! A highly requested vid which I hope you find useful. However, more importantly I’m sure many of you have already heard the devastating news of what’s happening in Australia which has left us heartbroken and devastated. I wanted to continue to raise some awareness on my UA-cam channel besides sharing stories on IG. The latest statistics show that over 6 millions hectares have been burnt (that’s over 113 countries), 500 million animals dead and thousands of homes lost. It is truly horrific. Pls watch to the very end of this video to see the magnitude and intensity of the Australian bushfires. Happy new year Mel! The bushfires are just heart breaking 😢I live in Sydney and it is just devastating. You are so kind to put out that message Mel. I am also contemplating selling my Chanel Jumbo as well as I just don't reach for it. I feel like it is a dressy design but the size is not dressy. So not perfect for casual or dressy but it was my first Chanel bag and I just don't seem to be able to let go. I agree, I will probably like it more in a different colour and use it more casually if I was to choose a jumbo all over again. Thanks so much for sharing! Xx

This was a great video ,definitely makes me feel a lot less crazy for all the bags I’ve bought and sold trying to get to the collection I have now ! I can say for the first time in a long time ,I truly use every bag in my collection now . I was starting to become a hoarder for sure and many nags just weren’t getting used ! Thanks for sharing ! Great video, thank you! I never purchased bags with the thought of selling one day until I joined the luxury bag community in UA-cam. I have since sold a few bags which allows my collection to be useful and one I truly love! I agree with you about the joy someone else gets when they receive your bag that was probably sitting in the closet for too long. Thanks again! Big fan!
Great video and I can see it will be helpful. Just FYI, I’m a curvy lady and the Chanel WOC suits me for all the reasons you don’t like it and I understand why the length can be a problem for a lot of people. It has a great chain length for me as it doesn’t sit under my armpit 🥰. I’m happy to downsize and like you said the low profile really works for me. I find it very low key for travel as it is packs away nicely in my larger bags for security. Thanks for sharing your videos!
Deb New I like the long chains too!! I’m curvy too and own the Chanel jumbo, with the longer chain I can wear it crossbody and it hits my body perfectly!!! But most would say it’s too long single strapped!

I have too realised that I dont need many black bags and have instead been gravitating towards colour now that my collection is slowly growing. I think brightly coloured hermes bags are particularly stunning and I think I would reach for those more than a black birkin too!

Sold:
Dior Diorama wallet on chain (the pastel beige color didn't suit the color palette of my clothes)
Neverfull mm monogramme (Felt uncomfortable wearing it because it's so well known and a bit flashy. Although, I still find it gorgeous whenever I see other people wearing it)
Chanel medallion tote caviar bag (a bit heavy and straps not the most comfortable)
LV Totally MM in Ebene (completely pristine bag even after wearing it but the print was too formal for my outfits)
Hermes Herbag (felt a bit cheap with the cotton fabric and the leather was very boxy and didn't feel luxurious)
Chanel Lambskin Beige flap (gorgeous bag but never wore it because was scared to get it dirty)
Gucci Velvet Marmont Bag in Black (Was fearing that it might go out of style/trend so sold it before that happens)
Chanel card holder, the one with a flap (was using it as a wallet but then realize my cash pops out)

I own the Cluny BB and I didn’t like the non-adjustments shoulder strap also. But I started using the Noe Neo strap with it instead and it’s worked out well.
I'm so glad my first Chanel Bag was a 2.55 reissue vs a WOC. Even though it's a little bit more $$, it was a better investment!
Also I just bought a insert for my TPM, even though its smaller than the 29, but still I even felt like things were bulging on the side of the bag.

My absolute fave kind of video! So informative... So this year I went bag crazy but sold quite a few items. My Lady Dior abc version colour blush pink, Givenchy antigona mini size colour Tan, celine nano luggage in Red, LV pochette metis (canvas), Chanel mini reissue colour beige , LV Alma bb in DE & lastly my Birkin 30 Rose Pourpre. I just wasn't using everything and I was rather overwhelmed. Im actually thinking of selling my Nice Mini & PSM backpack. I think a really small collection suits me... under 10 bags is plenty for my lifestyle.

I completely agree with you in the beginning, I have a fairly big collection bag ( 30+ luxury ) and even though I don’t wear some of them a lot, I just can’t sell them! I’m very attached to all of them , they bring me memories and I have a huge fear of people scamming or cancelling payments, etc etc, I’ve heard some scary horror stories! So it just keeps on growing! I’m not mad about that at all though 😂
