@ 4mins.........I made same mistake, that sensor, and the one below it should NOT be messed with under ANY circumstances. They are factory set, and the adjustment is so fine it has to seen to be believed. We're talking below 1mm. I had to take mine in to a specialist and he spent 4hrs setting them!!!! Had similar staring problems that you originally had, and it was the IGNITION SWITCH. The contacts aren't the best it seems. There's a video on here of a Lad in Mumbai cleaning his, I attempted the same, couldn't get the back off, so sprayed WD40 in the drain holes after removing it, holding it upside down and all different angles whilst working the key. It seems to have done the trick. I discovered that problem by pulling up slightly on the key when turning the switch on, and it seemed to cure the problem temporarily. You will have to get those sensors set up properly by a top bike tech guy, anything else is just wasting time and money.

Charge your battery fully and you check your fuses on your starter silenoid 😅

Had the same issue after storage... then realized it was in gear and needs to be in Neutral to start.

It's looks to me like you have a Flux capacitor issue. You should be able to get one of these from the garage.

That ting on the throttle body is a throttle position sensor.some cars must be set at .05v at dead stop don't know about bikes

have you goten this problem solved yet if not check the starter relay its usualy the issue but you will have to get it to a dyno to get the mapping done aswell thats why it idles rough and struggles

Yes thank you it was the starter relay. The idle issue was the throttle body, they are prone to failing apparently, replaced with a used and it worked fine. Since then (among other issues) one of the valves dropped onto the piston (apparently these engines are prone to that as well) broke the piston, engine needs a major over haul or replacement. Haven't the cash right now.

    hello sir
How did you fix this? iam also have to this problem to

Hi the problem with the bike not starting was the starter relay was bad.
You can probably get a used one from ebay or perhaps some local equivalent or buy one new from Kawasaki.
The one got was used from ebay for around $20 excluding delivery.
You can download a manual from the internet for free to find out where the relay is. It's on the left hand side on my bike (2009) just in front of the seat behind a plastic black cover and take just a few minutes to change.

My problem was the starter relay (spark was fine). Mine didnt turn over. As soon as I replaced the relay/solenoid she started fine.
I'm going to do another vid explaining what happened but she's now in for repair to change the head gasket..
Somehow put a slit in the coolent hose and cooked the engine during the repairs.
Does the starter motor turn over?

sounds like your starter relay may be bad as well

Have you testing the clutch and the side stand switches?
Clutch switch is behind the clutch on the bars you can test it following the steps in the manual or deactivate it following vids on youtube.
The side stand switch is behind and connected to the side stand again follow the steps from the manual. You'll need a multimeter but they're cheap enough. I tested mine myself and I've never done that before.
If either are faulty they'll stop the spark..

Did you get it sorted ??

Hi yeah thanks..i'm in the process of doing another video..
So i got a 2nd throttle body and that didnt work either so i tried swapping over the throttle actuators and that didn't work either.
As i'm checking on the forums im hearing it might be the starter solenoid but i can can hear mine clicking so i think mines working ok. Then i see a youtube vid and the guys saying it still may not be working. As im pulling mine apart to test the hex tool bridges the terminals on the solenoid and she tries to start (without the throttle body in place).
So i get another starter solenoid and thats the original problem fixed.
BUT me messing with the throttle body has f*cked mine up cause you can't remove the actuator without f*cking it up completely..might as well bin the whole lot. So the 2nd throttle body didnt work properly from when it arrived (presumably because the actuator had been tampered with) and i managed to do the same to my original in the process.
Started looking for a 3rd TB on ebay but asking if the actuator has been touched and if it was working ok before removal. Found a guy that strips bikes for parts with 100% satisfaction rating and he guaranteed his TB for 30 days - no error code problems or compatibility issues. He knows his stuff he knew you can't touch or remove the actuator. Bought it, put it on and she's been running 100% ok ever since..
I'll do another vid presently. Since then the relay box for the headlights has failed (no headlights or high beam indicator working) so waiting on that to arrive to get her fully operational.
So when i asked the Thai mechanic he told me the throttle body when he should of checked and said it was the starter solenoid but with the differences in language we got the communication wrong..all he was doing was telling me about another unrelated problem - if i had just replaced the solenoid i would have cured the non starting issue BUT from all of the above i've now fixed the error code issue as well - just have to get a reputable used TB..
