What a gem of a channel you have here😀Subscribed for sure. I really love seeing unusual and humble material used for bonsai. I am a beginner, and only use cheap nursery or collected material.

Thank you! I love picking up cheap plants at the end of the season! This forsythia has potential. I am interested to know what plants you're growing as bonsai? Also, I took a look at your channel- You build model airplanes? I LOVE everything aviation, real or RC. That's so cool.
Thanks for taking an interest in my videos!

@@smokyhillbonsai-gerrettmor6373 Yeah. I don´t build airplanes these days. Bonsai have become my passion for the last year. Bonsai is a more sustainable hobby economically, as it can be done on almost any budget. I collect mostly oak, yew, beech, birch, Scots pine and norway spruce. Oak have become a favorite, as I have collected a few trees that really shows potential.

This is great. I think forsythia are underused as bonsai so it’s good to see other people trying them out. Cheers buddy.

I was inspired by your forsythia videos- and also the area of Kansas City where my wife is from has magnificent forsythia hedges so I'm going to try to bring some of KC here! I'm looking forward to your next videos!

@@smokyhillbonsai-gerrettmor6373 oh sweet. Yeah I’d love to see you tackle a big fat mature one! Wow, that sounds pretty raunchy but I swear it’s not! Actually the place that we just moved to has a huge, very overgrown monster clump of it in the back corners I’m sure there’s something in there worth yard-a-doring. We’ll see!
